I can not believe there are people who defend skyward sword. I've played through about half the game so far and it's greatly inferior to all other 3d Zelda games. Of course the motion controls are terrible and forced in everywhere, but that's just the tip of the iceberg. All of the games basic mechanics feel janky, the story is awful. Most of the characters are flat and uninteresting. There's tons of backtracking. Twilight princess was so much better despite having similar design and being on the same system.

But the item check girl is incredibly cute so there's at least one positive.

Three Imprisoned fights. Fucking THREE

The puzzles and bosses are actually good for once, especially when compared with the track record of 3D Zelda. Some of the sidequests are pretty nice too.

>The puzzles and bosses are actually good for once,
>hit the eye with dungeon item and spam slash rinse and repeat

It's the only Zelda I haven't replayed. I got the game at launch, played through, amd then never thought about it again. I wouldn't say it's "bad", but there's absolutely nothing good about it. The only things I can remember are the weird or insulting parts

>All those bland new races they introduced in lieu of the old ones people actually liked
>That hideous character design. Even Link and Zelda looked bad
>That stupid story that forced itself into the front of the timeline and explained things that didnt need to be explained (The Prequel Effect)
>The dumb villains
>The tiny hub world
>Link's bird never even got a name

There will always be someone to defend something, no matter how terrible.

yeah it's terrible.

I think it's better than WW and BotW on the virtues of the desert region and Ghirahim fights alone. The pouch system is also the smoothest item management has ever been in a Zelda game. It does have some real low points and annoying tendencies but it has some rather underappreciated highs as well. I don't care what anyone says, Timeshift Stones are the shit and one of 3D Zelda's most interesting gimmicks to date.

>hit the eye with dungeon item
Girahim, Koloktos, Imprisoned, and Demise

Not really good and after dungeons the game start to drag on and doesn't want to end.

Though I enjoy it waaaaaaaaay more than TP, I can't stand this one, so slow and when you start playing it's freaking too easy and boring.

yikes

The only difficulty in skyward sword is when the game does not register your input or your Wii remote drifts too far to the side so you can't aim.

girahim and the1 5 skeleton fights were the worst ones

I agree the game has problems, the biggest for me being simply the lack of exploration and how the world is structured in "levels" that also get old relatively fast, but i still had a good time, the characters are fun, the temples are satisfying enough, and even the motion controls never bothered me much

I guess it helps that i find the game pretty too (but then again i guess all Zeldas are)

Nintendo Bonus

people are afraid to say this game is mediocre

worst parts for me were the save points and the gimmick enemies that hold their weapon in one direction so you have to slash their open spot. it looks ridiculous and is not engaging or fun.

If you have no skill maybe.

i meant worst as in being stupid and bad. i had no problems beating the game.

This is a minor thing but something that drove me up a wall is in the first fight with girahim To tells you to attack the opposite direction he is holding his hand. So when he held it left I attacked from the right, and when he held it up I attacked from below. None of my attacks would land. So I look it up online and apparently by opposite direction they meant orientation, horizontal/vertical. This has to be one of the worst examples of communicating something to the player I have ever seen in a game. Maybe it was just a bad translation but what the fuck.

And the only reason to think that way is if you have an irrational dislike for them, meaning you struggled against them.

>Only part I played of this was the 2nd or 3rd Imprisoned fight in someone's house
>Every time I think of playing it to have a real opinion I remember you need to go through that three times
And then I give up and go replay OoT or MM again. Fuck this game.

"I watched aron hansen not like this game"

I hate skyward sword and I hate aron hansen

>brainlet ADHD crack baby that doesn't get a simple game like Ocarina of Time
yeah no fuck that retard as well

Everyone knows it's terrible. Even the ones who pretend to like it.

Every one of those fights is different and the first time is easy as fuck. That's no reason not to play the game.
