I enjoy Gacha shit when it has game play that's more than "Your numbers are faster/bigger/whatever than this arbitrary wall of numbers."

Sadly I've only found one that I enjoyed and that was Food Fantasy as the party mechanics made it pretty fun. Additionally the rest of the game had plenty of things to do. Sadly though after the first while because of how the game is set up the party mechanics fall apart. Healing is static so once you start getting up there in levels its pointless to have healers. Which just turns it into exactly what I don't like so I stopped playing.

I'd play a gacha with gameplay, so many good IPs are trashed by shitty autoplay/grind shit that games that aren't insanely popular die within months of being released.
The only gacha i played where stats didn't matter and gameplay was kind of fun was LLSIF but then again things like lanota exist so why bother

Gacha is a system wherein using certain resources you roll for a random character of varying rarity. GFL has you expend four kinds of resources because it's just reskinned Kantai Collection, Azur Lane has Wisdom Cubes (Not the game's paid currency), Xenoblade 2 had Core Crystals (Earned in game because it's a $60 game).
By your logic games like Epic Seven or Langrisser aren't gacha games either because you don't roll the gacha with paid currency.

Definition of gacha is using any kind of currency, virtual or real, to roll for something ingame in return and having that as a main monetization mechanic in the game. In GFL you can buy premium currency with real money to buy material and items needed to roll for dolls. How is that not Gacha?
