What's the worst reboot

Rachet PS4 is genuinely fine. I really don't get the OTT hate.

Honestly, on balance, it's probably as good as the original game, because for everything they made worse (plot) they made something better (difficulty curve, graphics).

I think we're going to get Ratchet 2 soon now they're done with Spider-Man

I played the original and the remake in less than year of each other and thought it was fine. It's not that Ratchet's story and humour were ever great to begin with.

(I also preferred Ratchet 1 to 2/3, as it gets more gimmicky as it goes along)

They turned Ratchet from an asshole to a naive space cadet who acts nothing like any incarnation of Ratchet at all, he has pretty much no beef or doubt of Clank at all, they cut out several areas, there's movie cutscenes taken straight out of the movie and stuck in the middle of levels while the game follows the movie's plot the whole way through, Drek isn't the big bad, it's Nefarious again, and Drek's VA isn't even close to the original.

If they could transplant all the modern QoL into the original game that would be the best incarnation of it.

It's not so much a remake as an adaptation of the movie which is a retelling of the first games story. The problem with it is that it basically takes everything the original did well and fuck it up. The characters are wooden and there is no chemistry or conflict between Ratchet and Clank. They also cut a few planets(Hoven, Oltanis, Umbris). The only improvements are the gameplay and graphics.

As someone who's first game was the remake it really was bland as hell.

TBQH if you've never played a R&C game this is pretty good. This game is also one of the best early Pro enhanced games. And still stands out as one of the better Pro enhanced titles.

As someone who never played any of the original games (except the first one but only for like 2 hours), I thought the Ratchet and Clank remake was pretty good. It was slightly annoying to platinum and I wish it ran at 60 fps, but otherwise I enjoyed it.
