I've gotten used to games being in the 30GB+ range. Hitman 1 and 2, GTAV, nuDoom, Wolfenstein, just a few of the top of my head that I remember being ~50GB or more. I'm not that bothered though, I have like 7TB worth of SSDs and HDDs

Anecdotally, my ISP originally had a 350gb cap on my connection until around 2015, when there was lots of talk about Net Neutrality regulations, then they boosted the cap to 1tb/month and my speeds seemed to get better. Conversely, my speed has gone down in the last year thanks to Ajit Pai more or less giving ISPs carte blanche to do whatever they want.

They'll temporarily boost service quality for a bit, but it's never a guarantee that it will last.
