I started typing this in a previous CnC thread that went archived before I finished the post, so I'm posting it here.

If we apply logic to RA universe then USSR shouldn't exist after (in-universe) WW2 at all and yet it's there and maps shown in RA2 show full sized USSR with divided Germany.
Also if you wanna go full lore then without Hitler to lead the nazi party Germany would probably go full communist (as they were the main political opponents of the nazi party and lost the elections by a tiny margin IRL) and join comintern. You could further justify allied Germany in RA2 as an ally-liberated occupation zone set up after Soviet loss in WW2.
Also making a cold war game without divided Germany and Berlin wall is like making a vietnam war without jungle. It's a core symbol of the entire era.

It looks like they know they don't know what they're doing and just gave it to petroglyph. Petroglyph isn't bad but has no budget for their games, with EA they have a budget for this.
