Literally impossible
Literally impossible
Only for a shitter like you.
true. i returned the game at this point
Try jumping.
just dodge right
lol
Literally just git gud.
>throw shuriken when she's in the air
>free hard knockdown and at least 2 sword hits
Beat her yesterday. You just block everything and when the sign appear you jump then when she jumps up you use a shuriken.
Doing a NG+ bell and no charm run. Took her on after beating Owl. She's nothing. Get the parries down and she has no answers or counter gimmicks.
Another Wolf filtered
You can stunlock the first phase by spamming dodge plus R1. You don't even need to look at where you're dodging, you just blindly dodge and immediately R1, she will be locked into a cycle of getting hit and whiffing her atack since when she initiates it you're already out of the way.
>game PAUSES EVERYTHING to give you a massive popup in the middle of the screen that basically says DODGE + ATTACK
>"hmmm what should i do, fuck this boss is so hard"
Are people really illiterate? Its not even the question of skill in particular game, its the fact that they dont pay attention and arent able to comprehend and utilize basic information the game is spoonfeeding them
>0.5s to detects whether it’s a grab, sweep or thurst AND give the proper input
>LOL THE GAME IS EZ YOU GUYS JUST SUCK
>needing more
If you can't tell, just jump away always. Sure, you'll miss a mikiri counter if it's a thrust, but you won't get hit regardless of which one it is.
Pretty sure a thrust attack always gets you if you just jump away.
If you're just going to cheese bosses (r1->dodge*n against butterfly, gravity damage against oniwa or demon, etc) why even bother playing the game at all? Sekiro and Souls games are all about combat and exploration so why would you play if you're going to disregard half of that? I'm glad that I didn't know about that cheese because I would have been tempted to use it instead of actually learning how to combat.
Depends on the attack range, but yeah it will always hit a jump if you're in its range.
shinobi hunter has an attack that specifically punishes this
>he has problems with lady butterfly
most bosses in the game are way harder
Pretty much none of them do outside of the isshin one, and even then it's only if you're up close attacking him as he charges it up.
The game literally tells you how to beat her.
>Inosuke tells you to use snap seed to dispel illusions
>TUTORIAL WINDOW AT THE START OF THE FIGHT tells you to dodge+counter to do vitality dmg before focusing on posture
>shuriken description mentions it being effective on enemies in the air
if you're getting railed by lady B, you just need to pay attention to what the game tells you and get better at parrying
Jump away diagonally and some will miss.
yeah but most people who get at that point in early game don't know how to parry properly and get shitted on by her
>fighting her on NG sans kurocharm with only 2 gourd charges
HOLY FUCK
>cheese
Dodge and R1 is literally a combat mechanic the game WANTS you to use against the boss. Even the gravity shit against demon or oniwa are legitimate mechanics but I can see them skipping the majority of the bossfight. But if you're legitimately saying that core combat mechanics like dodging are cheese then you might actually be retarded. I'm not going out of my way to NOT use combat tactics that work against the boss just because some fag on Yea Forums thinks the dev intended mechanics are ''cheese''. At least on the first playthrough, when the game gets eventually more routine I might experiment with challenge runs but the way I see it anything that isn't blatantly cheating or obviously exploiting stuff like out of bounds glitches or literally disabling boss a.i is fair game.
the snap seeds really aren't that effective for this fight, the range is pretty short and the illusions die from like one hit with the sword anyway. you can just block the butterflies with pillars or running as they fire though.
Beat her after a week
Now I'm filtered by ogre
>Even the gravity shit against demon or oniwa are legitimate mechanics
>Tricking oniwa into falling off a cliff is a legitimate mechanic
Shitter
I never needed gravity to beat Oniwa but yes, if the developers made it so that having him fall off the arena is possible way of defeating him then by definition legitimate. Imagine being this much of a tryhard that you try to police other people playing a singleplayer game. Oh and course, if you use a method that's effective that's just playing smart... when others are playing effectively but not your way that's cheesing the game....
Still just a puppy.
This could be new to you but OP is just posting that as an excuse to make a Sekiro thread
Nightjar Slash
Congrats, you win
Why do we even fight her? Is this some initiation shit? Then why do it here and now? She was one of your teachers but what's her role at the time of the fight?
Dodge and R1 is exploiting the fact that all of her moves are slow as shit to come out, and dodge just happens to burn enough time that you'll always catch the startup of something.
She was in cahoots with Owl in kidnapping the Divine Heir. Wolf was supposed to get killed by her but he won so Owl backstabs you in a cutscene.
youtube.com
>jap kaiba playing based genchiro
>retards will still use the dub because they can't look at both the gameplay and the subtitles at once
took this shit back to blockbuster and got battletoads v double dragon instead, now there's a brawler game
When Demon of Hatred dies he will always say “Thank you...Wolf”. That implies From wants Sekiro to kill him by normal means, not a cliff.
Why would Owl kidnap Kuro and then give him to Genichiro but later siege the Ashina castle to take him for himself?
holy shit now i know why that voice seemed familiar
>having to decide whether to press one button or the other
>THIS GAME IS SO HARD!!! WHERES THE EASY MODE
Sekiro also voices pic related and he has a skit about centipedes too.
Its impossible for 99.9% if fish to survive outside of water.
Its impossible for 99.9% of mammals to acualy fly.
So it makes sense that 99.9% shitters cant beat sekiro.
He didn't give him to Genichiro because Kuro manages to escape with Wolf just fine... somehow. He digs you out of the burning wreckage later in the cutscene and makes his pact with you so you don't die. What happens in the three years from then until the start of the game are really, really vague. I think Wolf and Kuro just hung out and Owl bided his time but then Genichiro stages his kidnapping before Owl does. Emma helps you and Kuro escape in the prologue on the orders of Isshin but Genichiro intercepts you at the field.
Her melee has no reach and is slow as shit. The only thing you'd ever need to block is her flurry and her shuriken but she should never be able to throw them since you can just knock her out of the air with your own. She's also weak to dodge attacks and if you're lucky/smart enough you can pin her against a wall and effectively stun lock her by dodging either side of her and attacking inbetween.
She was the first boss I did and I hadn't even collected my first 4 beads. Compared to the anus design of the drunkard fight before her, her fight stuck with me as one of the best in the game just because I genuinly enjoyed it so much.
Forgot to add that Owl and Genichiro aren't helping each other at all which is why Owl does his own siege. Genichiro wants the Divine Heir to beat the Interior Ministry's siege and Owl wants the Divine Heir so he can take over the world and shit. Their goals didn't align and there can be only one person bound to the Divine Heir at a time as far as we know.
Oh I see, thanks. somehow I thought the Hirata episode was just before the prologue
But yeah still kind of weird. Why would Owl plot to kill Wolf and not just ask him to follow the Iron Code the first time
Always felt "cheesing" souls bosses in ways that aren't completely gamebreaking is justified in the sense that the game sets out to fuck you so you can fuck it back.
If you kill the first maneater or sif with arrows outside of the fogwall then you should be lynched, but don't try and tell me being able to bait bloodstarved beast into attacking the wall with pungent blood so you can beat its ass isn't satisfying to do.
I guess he was aware that Wolf would be happy to betray the Iron Code and the shinobi for Kuro even back then which sounds right considering he had no hesitation killing Butterfly who was one of his mentors. That's why he had tried having him killed instead.
Asking him to follow the Iron Code at Ashina Castle was likely a last resort now that Wolf was bound to Kuro. For gameplay reasons, Wolf has a limited number of revives. But from a pure plot perspective, Wolf is actually incredibly broken because he has infinite revives. The game only kicks you back to the shrines because it's a game. If this were a movie, Wolf would just keep getting back up until he kills you. You can't beat him. Owl was fucked and the Iron Code was the last card he had to play.
This. I don't know if it's in the 1st playthrough but that Shinobi Hunter beneath Ashina Castle near the Old Grave punished me for jumping his swiping attack in NG.
When the symbol appear and I recognize it as swiping attack, I just jumped that shit which he responded immediately with another thrusting symbol attack.
Fuck that guy.
Anyone have tips for Prayer Beads I might have missed? I'd like to get one more so I can improve my VIT against Demon of Hatred.
I just beat the second Headless Ape fight (I dunno why most players would think to go back there though) and have 3 beads. Is there anywhere else where you can like re-fight people or something?
imagine being this bad at video games you need a video to teach you how to beat a boss that literally throws herself at you for free slashes everytime she jumps from the wires
There's 2 easily missable ones behind hidden shinobi doors.
One in Hirata near the sculptor's idol just before butterfly.
Another in Hirata castle where 2 guys are sitting under Ashina Dojo.
I can't tell you which one you missed just from that post user, there's at least 4 beads that can be missed if you don't do exploration at all before fountainhead, big hints without too much spoiling are: rooftop garrett of a castle, 2 beads from hidden doors behind scrolls and 1 from a buddha's head
>But from a pure plot perspective, Wolf is actually incredibly broken because he has infinite revives.
We don’t know how immortality works against decapitation. For all we know Owl could just find a way to bind Wolf or cut his other arm off to make him powerless. There are a lot of stories out there where immortal people got btfo hard.
If you're already able to fight Demon of Hatred then you should be able to have all prayer beads already unless you missed the second Hirata Estate visit. Look up the wiki page. It has a detailed list that you can check to see for what you missed.
Literally one of the easiest fights in the game. Good luck with Snake Eyes, homo.
>Owl does his own siege
this confused me, like obviously his arrival coincides with the first siege but why is the interior ministry working with him and vice versa?
the ones I missed were in the pond right after the temple grounds idol in senpou and the sunken valley taking the hidden cave right after where you fought snake eyes
Yeah. You're supposed to suspend your disbelief for that since getting cut into a million pieces and buried in concrete isn't a very nice fail state for a game. Plot makes it so Wolf is invincible to contextualize the player having infinite retries and the game makes it so that his enemies don't try anything clever to try to completely incapacitate Wolf. I think that's fine.
What I'm reading says I have to eavesdrop on Kuro's room but Isshin is dead and Kuro ran to the escape route. Am I fucked?
What exactly does the bell do to make the game harder? I rang it early in the game and now I’m over halfway and I didn’t realize it did anything until recently. Is there any reason to keep it on other than difficulty?
There's a hidden cave?
My rule on cheese is this - if I stumbled upon the tactic myself, I’m allowed to use it. At the point it’s not cheese, it’s just being clever. If I knew about it beforehand though, I should try to beat it normally.
Yep. That's missable. I missed it myself to because of how specific the requirements are. You're going to have to do it on a second playthrough.
Reminder that this fat fuck filtered literally half of the PS4 players
Snake Eyes is also piss easy once you notice you can deflect the shots
get nightjar slash and literally run up and spam it
after you bear snake eyes and before the second ape fight, there's a cave you hook shot to with a couple paths within, one of them takes you to the unreachable statue head, also I just remembered the bead I missed in the gun fort, following a tunnel under the floor where you beat the centipede
you know how it feels to overcome something that feels impossible?
thank you user. maybe I can actually play this game again.
Nothing fancy. Enemies have more defense and posture and deal more vitality and posture damage.
stab, stab, dodge, stab, stab, dodge. Didn't even get hit.
no idea why i found him easy, he killed me only once, lady shitterfly on the other hand.....
Apparently it puts enemies at NG+ levels (so more HP, more posture, deal more dmg).
It also is supposed to increase the drop rate on rarer items for enemies that can drop 2 or more different items.

more sen and xp, worth it for farming but makes bosses a fair amount harder
Ngl this game is harder than souls, I've beaten drunkard, ogre , the guy after ogre so far using dodging instead of deflecting much I feel like it's gonna fuck me up later on. Also what's up with the time fuckery and why can't wolf remember shit. Also which place should I advance? Hirata estate or ashina
You're in the club and this nigga slaps your girl's ass and says
"MY NAME IS GYOUBU MASATAKA ONIWA.AS I BREATHE, YOU WILL NOT PASS THIS GATE"
What do you do?
sekiroshadowsdietwice.wiki.fextralife.com
>Has no effect on skill point or sen quantity gained
Stay on the attack. If they're blocking their options are more limited than if you just leave them to their own devices.
Because he is. I'm a shitter and killed him first try.
>you can parry every attack
>firecrackers for free hits
>grapple attack probably helps too
you'll have an easier time if you advance ashina first
?? One of the main tactics in this fight is to run around in between attack spams.
I think sword saint phase 2 is stupid
You absolutely need to learn to deflect correctly. The bosses later on (except for a few) will take FOREVER if you rely on getting their vitality to 0 instead of posture.
Definitely Hirata Estate. You need to fight your official first boss.
Throw firecrackers at his horse until it dies of a heart attack.
REMINDEE THAT RICE LOLI IS NOT A CENTIPEDE
What a load of motherfucking goddamn bullshit. I'm sick of every single one of From's faggy games having these retardedly obscure conditions you have to go through to actually play the content of the fucking game. Fucking Asian niggers.
Wow and I almost quit at lady butterfly out of frustration. I just beat the guardian ape refight and realized I had rung the bell after reading people talk about it on here. Might as well just keep it on for now then I guess
what do you even do after beating the first Drunkard?
I ran into one locked door, the feather upgrade and an empty fire arena that leads me back to the beginning
I wish Fountainhead Palace ended with a proper boss rather than a set piece fight. It was a cool area.
He almost filtered me then I beat the game last week, he's a good "push on or give up" point
I died to him like 10 times because I kept trying to dodge instead of deflect. Once I realized what I was doing he was easy
There are 3 bosses in fountainhead tho.
You need to go past the white shinobi hunter, go to owl (your dad) and he'll give you the key
I beat that Shinobi Hunter guy with the spear, how the hell did I miss that Owl guy? Thanks anyway
Enter the building he was guarding, there's a sculpture and a secret wall for a bead, next to the sculpture is 2 npcs
1 at the very start
A bull re-skin
And the set piece fight that I mentioned.
(the lightning fuck can be blitzed in 2 seconds so I'm not counting that.)
Like I said, I wish it ended in a proper boss fight
I'm the opposite. I love Divine Dragon and I hate that area because of how dense the enemy groups are. I literally just swim through the lake and tank the lightning guy's shots on NG+ runs because it's a hassle to stealth through all the nobles and then deal with all the Okami warriors in the area.
You can also defeat the Giant Koi.
Fountainhead might be the worst area I've seen in a Souls game so far. It's just filled with dumb gimmicks that die in one hit, and boring mooks that are too easy on their own so they just put a dozen of them around every corner.
The problem is they bring up this different attacks which show different kanni which I can differentiate so I do the wrong blocking. Also I'm not sure what attacks are unblockable are what aren't
It was good back before 2000’s when information didn’t spread as easily but now it defeats the purpose since everyone can find out about these things easy rather than just being a neat Easter egg for people really into the game
Where do you have to go after you wake up from having your arm cut off? Looked through the menu but nothing tells what to do. Also what is that bar with the line through the middle for? This game really suffers from lacking mechanic explanations
Bro you forgot the giant fish
Also what do you mean by official boss. Aren't those guys bosses
Stfu cunt, it's the prettiest looking area in any souls game
>inb4 muh Gothic n shieeeeet
It also has Shichimen Warrior: The Third. That entire area was a letdown.
>how the hell did I miss that Owl guy
I did the same thing, only went back after getting to mibu and realising I probably missed something
The small red circles with the line through are your resurrection counters, you can't resurrect consecutively after dying once unless you get a deathblow. Once you've spoken to the sculpture you can walk to the end of the temple to the crevice and press L2(ps controller) to grapple to green circles and progress through the outskirts
Learn which enemies have what red kanji moves. Not everyone is going to have a sweep, a thrust and a grab all at once, so you can prune your options accordingly. Watch what they're doing when you see the red kanji and when in doubt back the fuck off instead of going for a risky punish.
hardly a boss fight though when trading with a character in a different area is how to kill it.
The only time you will come across an unblockable attack is when the red "Danger" (危) symbol and sound appear. Everything else is blockable/parry. For Butterfly, she only does sweep attacks so when the symbol comes up, just press the jump button twice.
As you progress through the game, you will have to keep a lookout for the notification, and also identify what kind of attack is coming at you so even if you skip her, it will just get even harder.
It really depends on your definition of “boss,” but the ones that drop memories are real bosses while everything else is a mini boss, despite the mini bosses often being harder than the real ones
It's indeed pretty because of the sakura aesthetic but it's not fun to go through because it's a stealth area in a game with half-assed stealth.
oh yeah, forgot about him on account of there being like 4 of them throughout the game
There's also the fifth Headless and an illusion Headless because fuck you. God I hate those things.
Thanks I'll just experiment and see what moves they have. when I do mikiri counter I get pushed back is it supposed to be like or do I have to press another button to counterattack. Also any hints so I get the best ending or is it some convoluted shit like DS3
>Bite Down/Hidden Tooth death doesn’t add the stripe to resurrect so you can resurrect three times without a deathblow
You have to beat Hanbei the Undying but he's literally impossible to kill without a specific item you don't get until you're 75% finished with the game. It's fucking bullshit. Miyazaki is a hack.
git gud fgt
>texture tiling in 2019
>awful reflections
nah
Mikiri counter needs to you dodge into the thrust attack, so Forward + Dodge. You can try it out on the swordsmen before where Drunkard was.
Just look up a guide for the best ending if you want it. The "Default" ending is easy enough to reach, but the True End or whatever is convoluted as hell. It would take way to look to make a post here about.
I really enjoyed fighting against all human bosses
Monsters/animals were total shit
how many people actually beat the game?
Got the Return ending
Then use a mod to make emblems irrelevant and fuck shit up for fun in NG+
Emma + Isshin still fucks me up for one good hour
you mean demon of hatred is impoosbile
>Almost a month since release
>Almost no shota porn of Kuro
Yeah it flopped
retard
I think I'm in the minority in how much I enjoyed fighting Flaming Bull. You can fight him like a matador by parrying his charges to make his head hit the wall and hitting his head deals a lot of damage. Anyone who tells you to run around and slap his ass doesn't know what they're talking about.
It's in the fucking tool tip when the fight starts. I did it because they told me to do it. Fucking retard.
Me on the right.
>Learn to avoid all of the fire attacks
>parry his feet attacks
>fire umbrella if you have it
It's by no means easy, but far from impossible.
I will absolutely have to try this. I did this with the fountainhead palace one by accident and didn't know why it hit the wall.
>being a pedo
Disgusting.
You're still just a puppy.
The chained ogre before her was much harder honestly. That fuckers grabs are broken. Meanwhile you can just run around like sonic vs Butterfly and dodge everything
He's not doing his own siege user, that guy is just retarded.
>they fucking have the same VA for kuro and divine child
lmao
No?
you still get chip damage from perfect parries
What the fuck? Just sidestep-->counterattack. Rinse and repeat.
Pretty much this. I’m doing a bell + charm run and deflecting the bull’s attacks with some vitality damage is the way to go.
Deflecting the Ashina Elite’s sword draw attack with two rapid L1 presses is also superior to the commonly recommended dodge + slash technique.
Chained ogre got a lot easier once I treated him like a dark souls boss
Just stay a fair distance away. Close enough that you can hit him, but far away enough that he can't use his super fast grab.
people seriously died to this guy?
he is the only boss I beat first try, I figured he was a joke
but is he not aligned with the ministry? if not then why are there ministry forces in the hirata memory?
How am I supposed to defeat the two big monkey fellas when the 'eadless one keeps on screaming
Firecracker.
Run away when he breaks free and sneak back to get a free deathblow. The use oil and flame vent to stun him for free hits. Easy.
firecracker the bride, she goes down stupid quick
>but is he not aligned with the ministry?
Not really. Only in passing as a temporary alliance. They don't trust him and know he's basically out for himself. You can hear Juzou discuss this with a Ministry Ninja if you eavesdrop them in the second Hirata Memory.
Get them distanced from each other
Firecracker the brown one when it’s near you
Go to town
Run away
Do that again
You mean the ninjas? Those are ninjas. The ministry are the red guys in armor.
or just get him trapped on the hill behind the cloth wall
>Those are ninjas.
Ministry Ninjas. Don't run ya mouth if you don't know what's what.

Ah. Didn't know they were with them. By the way, why do they all have only one arm? Do they only recruit among the handicapped?
Just take your time
The brown ape does not attack often, so just don't loose your cool
Never played guitar hero. Beat this game twice though.
They don't all have one arm, they just fight using one arm only.
post your playthrough or it didn't happen

>Hit
>Throw shurikens when she jumps onto a wire
>Second phase, just pay attention to the illusions and get out of the way when the butterflies mobilize and do more of the above

Holy shit what? I swear to fuck if you're being "that kid" I will find you.
Ive been really busy so I havent been able to play sekiro for some time, but I put in like 5 hours last night and beat genichiro and lady butterfly both first try. after reading all the memes i thought theyd be harder, the absolute state of this board.
2AM so can’t do it
Have this webm from me though
How do I beat this nigger?
Mikiri counter
Stay close to him and be aggressive, spear users can’t do much at close range
Once you figure him out, you shouldn’t have much trouble with any of the other spear mini bosses
Why? They have no reason to gimp themselves for that.
IMPOSSIBLE
Hang on the side of the staircase and swipe him to death, he can't attack you.
dodge sideways
mikiri counter and deflect
if you arent able to do either consistently then practice with undead swordsman at the dilapidated temple.
little tip, you can spam deflect but you have to time mikiri, if you forward+dodge too early you wont get it off and his attack will probably hit.
It tells you what to do in a window when the fight starts, dodge and block then hit attack after pressing dodge. just learn to side step nigga and when to run around from the light things and kill illusions. This is one of the easier boss battles shitter.
The real big brain movie is figuring out that snap seeds work against corrupted monk by yourself.
>throw suriken when shes on wire or whenever shes in the air
>she gets knocked down
>at least 2-3 hits
>ignore the illusions because they move slow and you can easily sprint around them
>the butterfly projectile is easy to see coming because it hovers around her before being let loose and dont track your movements
Easy
how good is NG+?
G I T G U D
It's fucking nothing.
boring
Piss easy if you don't remove Kuro's charm, pretty fun if you do.
A cake walk unless you give Kuro back his charm. And even then, the only punishment comes from blocking instead of parrying.
A shinobi would know the difference between victory and honor.
Is this game just too hard?
Yeah it's simply impossible. I mean what kind of MC can't block enemy attacks while his back is turned... baka
>that mad after that slightly stronger purple ninja

Farewell my friend.
Just be a faggot and look it up
How do I beat the Ninja down in the Ashina Reservoir. That tiny little hallway really has me on tilt. I haven't had any trouble with any of the bosses,I know I can beat Genichiro but I want to get rid of this guy first and he is delaying my progress.
He's so fast and theres barely anyway to avoid him.
If only you could walk out of the building and fight him in the open space.
Even the small space outside isn't very good for it.
Don't avoid him then.
>He's so fast and theres barely anyway to avoid him
Then don't avoid him. Learn his moves and parry. If you can't tell what unblockable attack he's doing, just jump to the side.
This is how I beat him.
>read endless threads about how ridiculously hard she is
>be nervous the whole time coming up to lady butterfly
>killed her second time
you guys really are fucking normie faggots have any of you played a single souls game?
Attack once, deflect his followup. Repeat 2-3 times, he'll do the jump slam, then a sweep. Jump kick it. Repeat until victory.
You better learn how to beat him, there's 4 of him in the game, and smaller regular enemy variants that'll be everywhere in the late game
Reminder that only 50.9% have beat Lady Butterfly on PSN
wrong guy its the one thats down in the well next to the guy that is hearing music calling him.
Just kite him over near the bonfire and let the poison kill him as he shoots at you hiding behind the rocks above the bonfire.
Go to the hole on top of him and deathblow jump. The rest is about positioning yourself since the camera is fucked. If you have senpou kick it's even better.
The one in the pit where Sekiro is in the start? There's a hole right above him. Jump and you get deathblow.
lone shadow longswordsman? yeah he's a bitch.
mikiri his thrust kick, goomba stomp his sweeps, his posture will break pretty easily iirc
I beat her super early when the only upgrade I had was a set of prayer beads. She is easy once you figure out her trick yet still fun to fight.
I will never beat Isshin
Sorry, wrong webm
this dude should have 2 different phases
the first phase you attack the horse and kill it then the second phase he fights you on foot with a different attack set
I was 110% expecting this for the second lifebar too. I assumed the spear boss would be a massive mikiri test before you got into the castle, or something.

I thought this was going to happen as well. Was a bit disappointed when it didn't since he was also easy for me.
Hold right (or left) then press O then press R1 repeat 20 or so times.
Literally just run towards him and mash R1 until he starts to swing then mash L1. He was so easy the first time I killed him I was literally waiting to die thinking that it is not possible for me to kill him on my first try.
Sure if you are shit at videogames
The game has only a handful of bosses that are difficult, lady butterfly isnt one of them unless you are retarded and attempt to kill her with 1 AP and 2 gourd uses.
You can cheese him if you have the spear prosthetic with the first thrust upgrade. Get one of his health bars by jumping on him from the second hole. Keep distance and use the spear to reduce his vitality and break his posture then finish him.
Japanese, I remember Motoharu the delinquent giving his speech about Tadakuni walking with a girl, which turned out to be bullshit he was making up as he went.
Give them a break, she's like the first fucking actual boss for anybody who took the Bell back to the temple, which is most people.
I have never understood this.
Why do people break their stuff when they get angry?
I haven't even slammed my mouse down roughly in my whole life.
I've only ever pounded my fist on the table since I know it won't break. Wasn't about video games though. It's supposed to be stress relief so I aim it at something that isn't going to break because having broken property is just going to make the headache worse.
The mikiri test is Shinobi hunter. Was for me, at least.
It's a She, and she's vulnerable to Sabimaru, besides that you can parry everything, even her pull so never move away from her
start by not spamming deflect, you can mikiri the kick after his combo
If I bumped into a table (toe, etc), I used to beat the shit out of it and bite it until a minute or so passed when I was a kid. Yes, I bit tables. I don't think I ever did something like that in relation to video games though.
That was like 2 weeks ago, I don't spam deflects anymore. I do however still have to hold my guard up at all times because base PS4 is very unreliable.
Isshins thrust is longer than your jump range, although the only dangerous attack is the slash > sweep combo because it's so fucking fast.
Sneak into the tower like you did at the beginning of the game for a free deathblow for starters. You only have to do a little vitality damage before the posture damage from mikiri starts to stick. I also found that even if you fuck up and block his big swings instead of deflecting and get your posture broken, you recover fast enough to mikiri the thrust he usually follows up with.
spent 5 hours on him alone across several days. Finally beat him by, well, being super agressive and getting lucky with rng of attacks.
I really don't like enemies like him because game teaches you to deflect attacks all the time, but deflecting attacks of some bosses just breaks your poise and stuns you so you can't really do anything in return.
MADA MADA OP
>deflecting attacks of some bosses just breaks your poise and stuns you
It doesn't, if you were actually deflecting properly, you posture would never break.
holy shit this is pathetic
Or you can literally just block one hit and then ichimonji double her. She can't break out of the combo and you can beat her like this in under 30 seconds even with both health bars.
i don't necessarily mean stun as in poise broken, but like they push you away and you locked in recovery animation.
Wolf 2.0 made my day, such a fucking fun fight
Too bad to reach him you need to do some obscure shit
Well, yes, some "heavy" attacks have you recover more slowly after you deflect them, like Owl's shuriken throw into slash. I don't think you can get attacked during it though.
>Nightjar slash
Nothin personnel, grandma
That's another shit mechanic. How am i supposed to know that deflects make me immune to poise break? Because my bar still fills to 100% so i assume that one more hit and it's over, but apparently im immune? Then why do i get poise damage at all? Shit's stupid.
that sounds like how I felt when Owl mikiri countered me
Have you tried fucking reading you retard?
Emma tells you exactly where to go after the dragon, holy shit.
THIS CHAIR THIS CHAIR THIS CHAIR THIS CHAIR THIS CHAIR THIS CHAIR THIS CHAIR THIS CHAIR THIS CHAIR
mada mada
>beat every boss
>get filtered by grandpa Isshin
well at least it was a fun run
Same. Gonna try him in like a week when I have patience for this game again, I think Owl pt. 2 and Demon of Hatred burnt me out a bit.
I started getting impatient to the point where I was getting killed by genichiro (despite previously making it to phase 3 isshin), that's when I knew I needed to put it down for a bit.
He's all try and repeat. Don't forget to jump deflect attack in his last phase, he overuses the lightning!
Uh...I never saw that guy in my life
You only say this because you fell for the try hard meme of the git gud crowd. Do what you must to win, play like a Shinobi.
steamroll if you keep kuro's charm, even if you give it back it's chip damage from blocks
odds are he's out of spirit emblems at this point. I was, but hey you don't need them, not even for isshin's circle whirlwind
I Mind Controlled 2 of the 3 guys with canons that are at the same room and they did the job.
Where is this guy?
Literally the starting room of the game, in Ashina reservoir.
I mean, the Shura ending literally has you murder old men and women before embarking on a massacre of thousands, it seems pretty solid that Wolf is an immortal murder machine by that point.
MY NAME
Game is really simple if you play it like dark souls. Run around the boss with your infinite stamina, bait an attack, run in and hit them twice.
I did this with every boss, beat Ape, Apes, Owl, Genichiro, Horse guy, and Butterfly dying near a total of 10 times on them. Games fucking easy. Stop standing in front of the bosses and mashing R1 and trying to parry all the time
>Beat lady butterfly on my first try with 1 revive 2 days ago
Feels good bros
Ashina Reservoir. Across the cliff to the left from where the statue is.
It's the place where you started the game.
one of the easiest
>mash r1 with firecrackers from time to time
He's a joke and I'm awful at the game
their will always do certain ones depending on what move they did previous, and what phase they were in
for genichiro, after you parry his jumping slash you can instantly press B/O and you will mikiri if its a thrust, if not you still have time to double jump the sweep
What's the best combat art?
daily reminder that people who place pride in how they beat Souls games are using their "achievements" as a replacement for any sort of athleticism or real-life success
the only people who give a fuck how other play these games are all kissless virgins
Any combat art you can use against swipes instead of just jumping?
Just give her one of these
SENPOU LEAPING KICK is honestly the most fun combat art. Nothing more satisfying than leaping over a sweep and crescent kicking the shit outta some mook.
>a shinobi would know the difference between victory and honor
>your arm will let you use whatever tool is most useful to defeat your opponents
>the most important rule of the ashina style is that we win our battles
Purest love story ever told
Depends what you need. Double Icchi is great for punishing. High monk for sweeps. Dragon flash for high health bosses. One Mind because it looks fucking dope.
Also, is anyone else disappointed that the supposed most powerful art, True Mortal Draw is one of the worst arts?
Walk past the well entrance, and do a dropdown deathblow on him from above. Then you can land 1 or 2 quick hits, and block/deflect his counter-strikes. If you jump over his perilous kick, the camera and tracking can spazz out, so it might be safer to toss out some firecrackers to knock him out of the kick and open him up to 2-3 free hits.
Keep at it, the room size means you fight the camera almost as much as you fight the enemy.
Midair Art into High Monk, it's the curbstomp's big brother
This too but HM just adds sword hits so you can pressure them more, it's how I got in the habit of taking down SS Isshin p1 in 30 seconds
Seriously Isshin p1 is so vulnerable to Senpou moves it's not even funny.
It kind of stands to reason. He wrote the book on all the Ashina skills, and apparently knew the ninjas well enough to probably have known their tricks as well. The monks were weirdos that holed themselves up and stuffed kids full of centipedes all day, so Isshin probably didn't want to pay very much mind to them.
never play punch out lmao
Pot nobles won't give me truly precious bait. What gives?
u need to spend like 15 or so scales at their shops.
a literal giant red symbol appears over your head to warn you every time, and if you cant react and press a button within half a second you may be handicapped
Pretty much.
