It all keeps
Tumbling down
Tumbling down
Tumbling down~
It all keeps
whats the point anyway
just download a emulator its litteraly same thing except u cant pick what games u want
has somebody tried those pads on pc?
why even bother?
Link?
The problem with playstation classic is that it didn't have any memorable games or they aged terribly. NES and SNES worked because the graphics are basically timeless, could play them 500 years from now and it still looks good
This, I'd like one for $20.
to play games with
I literally wouldnt take one if it was free. No games people wanted and has shitty slow PAL versions of the ones it does have
There's a lot of people who don't even own a computer these days. Some that do own one are literally too braindead to use an emulator.
You can just get a ds4.
As an fyi like Said, the PS Classic runs half the games it has on PAL. So they are 15% slower than normal, including Tekken which ruins that game. You might just want to emulate, unless you plan on hacking it.
the biggest problems is that it's an extremely bad fucking emulator, they didn't even get the basic fundamentals right. of course everything else was shit too
Can I mod it to be good?
ds4 has gay triggers. I hate them. thats why I'd like a PS1/2 pad with USB. optimally with analogs but sony was too incompetent to add that.
the d-pad is objectively bad and there's no analog don't bother
>the biggest problems is that it's an extremely bad fucking emulator
To be fair, it is better than their in house emulators.
Sony has literally never made a good one.
Sale already ended unfortunately

Yeah I was thinking about hacking it since it’s braindead easy.
let them suffer
I wouldn't even buy it for $20 if I couldn't hack it, I know all about disabling PAL and stuff, I intend on loading the entire US PS1 library onto a stick.
ps1 on psp was excellent and ps2 on ps3, despite its flaws, is kind of a miracle for working at all given the specs
You'd be better off getting a wii and hacking that. The thing probably has better ps1 emulators at this point.
last I checked ps1 emulation on the wii was garbage
Plus the snes Classic came with an unreleased game never before seen
So:
outstanding emulation
A new never before seen game
Easily hackable and runs like a champ
PlayStation classic has none of that
Damn, I just looked at the list of games, what the fuck were they thinking?
Is it hackable? Compatible with any kind of dualshock?
>when you realise ps fanboys are by definition smarter than the retards gobbling up the nintendo mini consoles
surprised me to be honest
>ps1 on psp
It really wasn't. The games managed to have more slowdown than their original hardware counterparts.
The ps2 and ps3 didn't emulate them outside of the classics versions on ps3 that ran like a hot turd.
The snes Classic had games
>Is it hackable?
Not so much "hackable" as it is "they forgot to disable keyboards so all you have to do is plug one in and hit the hotkey for the emulator menu"
it had roms
PS1 emulation can run on smart phones or 40 dollar thinkpads you buy on Ebay.
Stop baiting.
>and ps2 on ps3
They actually had the hardware to play them.
I know but try to explain that to a computer illiterate normie whose only way to access the internet is a phone.
You're joking. You must be.
He's not wrong. I mean, who wanted intelligent qube?
No, it's like that. Watch any video on YouTube.
I mean they are using a public emulator, pcsx rearmed I think because it's optimized for the cheapest ARM processor they can get to run the games with.
there was more slowdown but considering the specs of the psp it was still impressive. and most games were playable.
>no Castlevania Symphony of the motherfucking Night
Dropped like the ugliest baby in the world.
PS2 Classics downloaded from PSN are emulated.
The original ps3 could play ps2 games. That's part of why it was so expensive.
The nips at least got armored core and parasite eve.
Who plays games here?
Yes, but I'm not talking about that.
Then why did you jump in?
If you had played the ps2 classics versions you would know that they're even worse, especially in Europe where the PAL versions introduce a hell of a lot more problems.
No those worked because nintendo is the domain or socially rejected autists.
Because there's no fucking way a machine with the specs of the PS3 should be running PS2 games as well as it does.
Look up AutoBleem or BleemSync.
Both are pretty good at redeeming what a garbage fire the Classic is.
It doesn't.
The ps3 ps2 emulator is one of the worst ps2 emulators to date.
PS1 emulation is somehow way more of a pain than any other major system. PS2 you can have going in seconds. Gamecube, easy. Any of the Nintendo Handhelds, done in seconds. Mega-Drive, NES and SNES, goes without saying.
They're all plug and play, you get the emulator and you're basically done. But the last time I tried getting PS1 emulation going I was fucking around with settings, downloading files and configuring shit for more than an hour before I finally gave in and stopped bothering with it.
>PS1 emulation is somehow way more of a pain than any other major system
N64.
Again, had it up and running and was playing the N64 Evangelion game in probably a few minutes. That was back in Windows XP though, so maybe it's broken for 7/10, but I definitely don't recall having any issues.
I got in a mood to play FF7, I spent way, way too long fucking around trying to get the PS1 emulator to work, and then I wound up just b*ying it on Steam.
The vast majority of n64 games are completely unplayable, only a few favorites are tinkered with until workable.
Meanwhile I've genuinely never had a problem running any PS1 game.
That might be the case, I'll admit I've only done N64 for the Evangelion game, OOT and like two others. Wouldn't surprise me if most of them don't work.
>the d-pad is objectively bad
Did they alter them..? Because if it's a perfect recreation of a PS1 pad, it's one of the best dpads ever made. I'm currently using a PS1 controller through a PC adapter to play most emulators and Hollow Knight right now, and it's fucking great.
>and there's no analog don't bother
Most PS1 owners never got those updated controllers. By the time were was an actual need, the PS2 came out and it had sticks out of the box.
>it's one of the best dpads ever made.
It was a shitty d-pad for everything that isn't fighting games, Saturn and Snes are way better.
>It was a shitty d-pad for everything that isn't fighting games
>the type of game that's the most intricate and demanding
What's wrong with this thing anyway? Could it realistically be turned into a nice little emulator with the whole ps1 library loaded onto it?
2nd the question
user, please, think for a minute, how well you would play donkey kong 2 with a sanwa made arcade stick or Megaman 2 with neo geo styled microswitches. Don't be stupid, a D-Pad and the way to control a game can change depending on the game itself. The PS1 controller had pretty clear inputs and that was fantastic for fighting games. But just becuase some people use them on tournaments doesn't mean they are as good as you seem to think. The 6B Genesis d-pad was great for sport and racing (where diagonals were really important), but was garbage for everything else. The ps1 controller was good and it's ok is if your favorite (mine is the 3b from genesis, a really shitty controller), but it's not top tier, it's not as good as SNES, Pocket color or Saturn
it's the lazyest emulator box ever released
The Fire stick 4k has the same guts, but is more powerfull. Ps1 classic is worth as a collection piece, nothing more. For emulation any laptop is better, for cheap emulation box? go with the fire stick. The 2 controllers are a nice thing, but i don't know, for my playing Rondo of Blood with the NES controller on wii on a CRTV was way better since it actually gets you closer to the real deal. That'0s the thing about retro gaming, and sadly the ps1 controllers are mostly useful for Alpha/mame and not much more, since a ps3 controller will always be better for ps1 games than the ones included in the system, for $19 is still a great deal, i bought it for $50
>Ps1 classic is worth as a collection piece, nothing more
I wouldn't even say that. Way better models exist not to mention you can just buy the PS1 itself for dirt cheap.
