Base Joker is supposed to get his kills by edgeguarding.
Both his Fair and Bair are great edgeguarding tools, his grappling hook (and inherent floatiness) lets him go unfairly deep to catch motherfuckers and down airborne gun and Eiha fucking ruin recoveries.

If you hold down while firing in the air, you can do rainstorm until you touch the ground. It has basically 0 endlag, meaning Joker can almost always land safely while clearing under him directly into any attack or a grab. I guess if what the guy you replied to says is true, the knockback can set up an fsmash
