Seriously though, why is there so much random sexual content in VNs? I dont mean the dating sims or whatever, but I've played stuff like Zero Escape, Danganronpa and Umineko, and all of them just have weird out of place dialogue talking about boobs.

Why should I care about some literal randoms review? In fact, why should I care about ANYONES reviews?

I think many people get off on the immersive element of it, making it hotter than regular porn, so instead of fapping before or after playing, they do it whenever an h-scene comes up.

I've only played 999 and don't remember anything like that in there. Danganronpa has a mainly teenage audience and I think it's just in there at the start of Umineko to disarm the reader. Higurashi did a similar thing.

It's still the standard. They don't use tags to indicate presence of sexual content like most mediums, but rather "No sexual content" is what you see, because it's assumed to be there by default unless specified otherwise. That's the point I'm making, other things have sex in them but they're not so common as to make it a core, 5 minute feature in nearly all of them unless you state otherwise. It's a convention of the genre, that's quite literally just how they do it. Whether you like it or not, you cannot deny it's a more significant part of VNs than movies or non-h manga or pretty much anything not explicitly designed for you to jerk off.
