The issue with Sony's censorship is that they're the ones doing it, it's completely arbitrary, poorly communicated and is clearly targeted at specific subjects. On top of that, it is there along with the usual necessary requirement of obtain a rating from a national body such as PEGI or CERO, which exists specifically to make this system as simple as possible in the first place. Sony's doing something specifically for them to not have certain kinds of content on their platform, and is done so in a way that negatively impacts developers involved.

The censorship in Smash here is done simply for Nintendo to keep the game at the age rating the game already received from national bodies. Additionally, this is done to their own game and not forced onto other developers.

Context is everything, and just because "this is Yea Forums" doesn't mean you should ignore it or pretend to ignore it. Please treat yourself and this discussion with a little more honesty.

Well no shit it's not literal blood, they're shadowy monsters. It's still stylistically meant to represent blood in the way that it gushes out. For all intents and purposes it is symbolic of blood gushing out of the enemies because you've killed them.
