I wanted to purchase my father a solitaire game because he is obsessed with it, but always plays some dumb online browser version with ads. Does anyone know any good stand-alone solitaire games for mac?
I wanted to purchase my father a solitaire game because he is obsessed with it...
user, I don't think there's much you can improve upon solitaire by paying for it
It's kinda garbage
A pack of cards?
I mean, I know it isn't very great, but I want him to at least have a standalone version that isn't bombarding him with ads.
I'm honestly a bit worried about him. I try to get him to play other games but he always goes on about how he hates games, but he always seems to be playing solitaire.
I honestly don't know what else he really does besides yardwork, kayaking, reading news, going to friends, and playing that now that he's retired.
I got u f a m
Why are old people such boring potato people?
My mother does nothing but watch TV and tend to her garden too
They have the boomer brain disease.
Not all of them have it though. My grandpa is an alcoholic shut in Vietnam vet who spends most of his free time exploring abandoned areas and worlds on secondlife.
My friend's father was also pretty quirky.
I'm just worried about my dad, and worried I'll end up like that.
you sound like a homo, take him to the strip club and tell him have sex
Even if all you do is keep your vidya hobby into old age you'll be more interesting than most boomers.
Even if they're too technologically illiterate to use the internet or play vidya, boomers can fucking read can't they?
Someone who studies a little bit every day can be a very interesting person, and someone who paints can be interesting, someone who plays music can be interesting
But it's like most boomers just give up when they reach 50 and want to do nothing but sit still and stare at free TV all day waiting for death, and the though of doing something productive is just too much trouble
Please don't post my wife
Windows doesn't have it anymore?
try this one OP
what's your native language, OP? not trying to roast you, but generally curious because of your sentence structure.
English?
cute
I wanted to purchase my father a solitaire game
whereas the construction would usually be 'purchase a solitaire game for my father'
nothing wrong with either, but was odd to read
Macintosh
Does this also have regular solitaire that a boomer could understand?
Just put a Windows XP VM on his mac. It has the best solitaire app.
>solitare
Kek. Real boomer men play this
store.steampowered.com
The best of the best.
me at the bottom
Bruh, install an ad blocker.
Solitairica
youtube.com
That looks really bad
Also probably too complex for a boomer
Yeah this is too complicated.
This seems pretty simple and stand alone. And its only 10 bucks.
This actually looks great. Thanks user.
"Family" license, giving you permission to share the game with your family
Their website is even web 1.0
Yeah, boomers are their target audience
I think I found my answer for sure.
Why are old people so boring? Like, you go to a grocery store and you see 40+ year old people just shuffling around with a dead look in their eyes, completely soulless and you just know when they get home they're just going to watch TV and maybe cook something. Even if they have friends all they talk about is work or some commercial or some really uninteresting shit. And they talk like they're already dead, if at all.
Then I get to work and meet some of my older coworkers and its a fucking relief because they're cool as shit and not soulless husks.
Shit, I used to have a friend whose mom was like that. Crazy bitch would play massive games with like three decks that took hours to complete. She had tons of rows all laid out on the dining table after a bit. Bitch was hardcore, I'll say that for her.
It's not the same thing but I think your dad will enjoy it.
Get Pysolfc, apparently it works fine on Mac if you install a Python interpreter
pysolfc.sourceforge.io
My dad loves Shadowhand, it's got a story mode and dress up with a cute noblewoman. Highly recommend it for your needs
>Old people at work talking about anything but their kids and their aching bones
Where do you work? Disneyland?
The boomers lived for work and once you take work away from them, they don't know what to do. My aunt works long hours but when she gets a day off she just zones out at home.
My father plays those card games on Windows every day too
It's weird, he hates video games but he's obsessed with those card games on Windows.
kayaking and hanging out with friends are probably more important to him, and you should go with him. He will appreciate that more than a standalone solitaire game
Nah, just a warehouse. They have real life interests and are fun to work with and talk to, I don't have to act a certain way around them or anything. Maybe they just haven't been drinking the water, I don't know.
Can't do that at night, in the winter, or after a long day of working on other things, you well intentioned spaz
give the man Skyrim with sex mods
