Titan weapons was by far the most damaging melee set back on live, restrained by only two factors: it's momentum mechanic (which means some of your swings are going to take up to three seconds to animate before you gain crack speed for a few seconds to swing that shit around like you're a stripper who just took off your top) and that it cannot be paired with shield defense which has has a self-buffing, scaling damage aura that lets you hit harder the more enemies that are around you.
That second part is mitigated by fire armor which which is the only armor set with a build up called fiery embrace.
Can't say much about bio-armor though seeing as i never got too far with it on the test server before shut down.
kind of cool but really not for everyone in terms of concept.

off the top of my head, Shield Defense gave users up to a... 100% damage boost with +10% per-hostile around you capping out at 10 targets feeding you.

Kheldians were a big fucking problem that way just from the way they were designed. Obviously the original idea was to be very strong jacks with each form having different strengths/balances, but in practice that shit was way worse than anyone ever expected it would be. Even after buffs and balance changes, peacebringers were still garbage, and the normal player couldn't do any better with warshades even if the elite autismos could. Problem was, they painted themselves into a corner even just doing the forms thing, since they couldn't remove them and completely overhaul the class without pissing off people who actually liked them. VEATs didn't have that problem, since they learned from those mistakes, but figuring out how to get kheldies to benefit to the same degree without angering half the playerbase one way or the other was apparently too tough a hurdle.

Oh wow, paragon chat has in depth skill details in the character creation. The shield skill is +10% for the first enemy, +5.50% for 9 enemies after that for a total of 59.5%. Bio armor is a bit trickier to figure out. Hardened Carapace says it gives +25% with offensive mode active, which reduces your damage res by 7%. Both the bio armor damage and the shield damage cannot be increased by buffs or enhancements. The bio armor -res aura is near 10%.

back on live, the devs had something called 'the cottage rule' stating they could not completely change the underpining workings of a power (generally, invalidate an enchancement slotted into it). The extreme example given was changing "build up" so that instead of giving +damage and accuracy, you would "build up a small cottage". A more realistic example would be changing Build up from boosting your damage output and accuracy to being a massive -resistance -defense debuff against surrounding enemies.
However, what always could be done was ADDING to powers and modifying the numbers. So plenty of powers could have been modified better (like maybe kheldians could have had two debuffs with their attacks to make them unique), change the numbers on the form shifts (or even add additional powers to them).
Though in the end, what could have helped weas bringing their overall modifiers up.
But I do think adding additional powers to the form shifts could have helped since when I tried a PB... it was boring in bright nova form. just four attacks to spam endlessly.

I mean it wasn't that bad of a concerp given the nature of how you expand powers in the game.
The only issue is that the live devs seemed to regard the cottage rule without realizing there were workarounds.
One of my proposed one was allowing alternate power selections for various powersets, similar to how it worked with VEATS (you pick a certain power, locking you out of selecting another), the idea being to allow single powersets to house multiple concepts within.
For example, an option to alter a few of katana's attacks to fit an iaijutsu master, a HEMA longsword fencer, or go full anime with one selection. The example I actually wrote up though was one to let Assault Rifle fall into either the concepts of 'grenadier', 'machine gunner', 'marksman/sniper' or even 'shot surgeon'

the main issue with i25 seems to be that people just don't want the changes he made and want to start fresh on the last released patch, so those four guys i mentioned earlier are working on the i24 source code and getting it updated to a more recent version of visual studio and then change the way it works so it's not like pic related anymore. the branch they are working on seems to have gotten the name i24F. they are able to use the bin files that were compiled for i25 to learn some things about i24 that they will be using in i24f and apparently have gleaned some good info from it
leandro's SCORE server is playable but it can't really handle large amount of people, mainly because of the way the game does mapservers. some people seem to be in the search for a server that can handle it and also get a webserver to give out the files and such. the big problem is finding a server that will handle the amount of people that want to play at this point, you need one that's got a shit ton of ram and will be really expensive as said in a earlier post.
he already leaked the source and a compiled bin that you can run the game with. it's time to hop off the outrage wagon.

read the entire post, it's usable but it's literally only usable for about 50-100 people. and the server just to run that needs to be pretty beefy so it's expensive. you aren't shelling out any of the money so you don't really have any room to talk. i'm just hoping someone manages to go for it or figure out if they can turn off some of the maps so it reduces mapserver count and can get us more people on the server but restrict us to something like the first couple areas up to level 30 maybe.

Enhancements were the game changer. It had a very intuitive model. Even then you could use sub opt enhancement builds. No pet build was viable end game. Although they are fun to solo/bro-op with. If you must play one pick a build that can be healz at endgame
