>normal looking battlegroundish stage in foreground
>back layer is a giant canvas
>mid layer block that blocks the canvas from view (so you can't see what's on the canvas in the preview or immediately after starting the stage) but moves out the way shortly after the stage starts (possibly timed to coincide with music)
>put Avengers Endgame spoilers or some other griefy to normies spoilers/text or imagery on back layer so shortly after the stage starts the mid layer block drops to reveal the surprise to the unwitting victims
bgm is Last Surprise
for bonus points the mid layer drop is timed to happen with YOU'LL NEVER SEE IT COMING

This is a no gimmicks stage I made to address what I don't like about Final Destination, but why I'd always prefer to go there over Battlefield.

It basically makes deaths feel like deaths, and gimps far less likely.

But there's much fuckery involved. It doesn't happen in exactly the way that I'd like. I can't really recommend it.
