I’m mostly just looking for stages that actually mechanically implement something interesting
I’m trying to think of an interesting way to use portals, I was thinking some sort of racing stage where different areas are filled with fire and there’s only anhandful of portals at the end of each track

As long as you don't have too much stuff on the stage, it should be 8 player by default.

Mine is kind of the same as well except the platform is inclined and there are winds coming from below and a small portion from right.

I also did a Tick Tock Clock stage last night. The main platform is an average flat surface, but the pendulum of the clock swings back and forth and can potentially save you from falling off the stage kinda like the rail cloud from the Yoshi's Story stage in Melee.

Most of the stages are pretty cool, but then you're kinda sad realizing that most "good" stages are only good in the retrospective of art and are either very plain or don't offer that much... anything in the stage itself to make it fun or in consideration for the purpose of the art. Those are really rare to find.
