Monster Hunter endgame is definitely harder in my book, (level 140 Zinogre, Extreme Behemoth, ATs, Lunastra etc.) and positioning matters.

I finished Sekiro twice without any help but started up Monster Hunter World today to do the Arch Tempered Elder Dragon thing solo and just couldn't do it. Literally couldn't. Died 30 times and gave up.

To this day beating the story mode of GX on max difficulty is one of the hardest things I've had to put up with in a video game and I've played a lot of games, that's literally all I've been trying to say in this thread. The only reason I started talking about mechanics is because F-Zero, despite being a different genre, demonstrably requires more multitasking and APM than something like Sekiro (despite the fact that's already been touched on by others in this thread, whether or not requiring mechanical dexterity constitutes difficulty) but I was not making any statements beyond that. Again I like both games and I don't need to justify anything. They're video games and I play them because they're enjoyable, it's the guys that seem to have only ever played Souls game that keep justifying their choices and claiming it's one of the hardest series ever made. christ i'm doing a NG+2 no charm, demon bell run and it's ridiculous. every boss takes like 70 hits to get their health or posture down and you have to perfectly deflect everything or risk getting staggered and one shot. i'm on sword saint now and i beat him in literally 2 tries on NG+ and it takes me like 5 minutes of perfect playing just to get past genichiro.

furthest i've gotten in 15 tries is halfway through phase 2 but i can't perfectly deflect all his spear attacks and if i miss one it takes like 80% of my health without the charm. owl 2 was crazy too but this is a whole different level.
