Yes

It's alright, very repetitive, most of the levels have you fighting in the one same environment with minor changes. I prefered the atari game on ps2 and the highmoon studio cybertron games.

Yes!! It's one of platinums best games.

Yes it is. Not very long but it's good.

I wished they also this much care on that TMNT game, what a waste.

it's ok but it's pretty much identical to most platinum games now spam dodge and spam weak and strong attacks to make yourself feel cool

Like the anons said it's relatively short and kind of repetitive, but when it's good it's really fucking good. Fantastic visuals, bosses and fanservice

Attached: arcee (2).jpg (620x443, 70K)

Its great, especially if you like g1

Attached: TF_Devastation_Launch_Screen_8-1940x1091.jpg (1940x1091, 183K)

It's fantastic but super short cus Activision were basically "ayy yo were about to lose the Transformers license can you make a game in like 8 months lmao".

But it's made to be replayable as fuck.

Why the fuck has Hasbro given up on non mobile vidya?

The soundtrack is cool as fuck. It's worth a play for the music alone.
youtube.com/watch?v=U9v41R2jr9E

And some of the PS3 ones too. This one its like bayonetta that's why is good.

The length is not a problem.

Not profitable enough I would assume

Bayonetta with Revengeance soundtrack and cel shaded g1 transformers. I cum in my pants. Even though megatron doesn't turn into a gun.

Attached: 614.gif (480x270, 1.18M)

thanks doc

The combat is really good and the enemies are very agile and aggressive on the higher difficulty levels

>banned from steam
The fuck?

Yes, and bless this board for FINALLY realizing it after me shilling it in every action game thread for years.

Activision doesn't have the license for transformers anymore or something like this

That's kind of an oversimplification. The melee is definitely a lot like Bayonetta, but it's sort of like someone stapled Vanquish, Twisted Metal, and half of Diablo onto Bayonetta.

>my copy is forever tied to ps+
How hard is to find a disc for it these days?

>2 of those giant dudes at the same time
Oh fug

It's exactly that. The license takes their copyright away which means games can no longer be produced anymore. It's always been this way legally, but with hard copies of games you don't notice because they typically aren't getting new pressings by the time the license expires, copies are already out in the wild. But with digital download games, every new copy sold is treated, legally, as a new copy pressed, meaning when you lose the license you have to immediately delist the games from all digital outlets.

bayonetta is also shit though
and yeah it's an oversimplification we're on Yea Forums recommending if a game is good or not i'm not some fucking youtube reviewer who needs to stretch his video to 10 minutes for ad revenue

>Prime Difficulty
>the overhead segment where you have to carry an Energon brick to the barrier
>5 hammer dudes drop down at once

Huh that’s weird. I was just looking at this game in my PS4 library and wondering if it was worth playing through.

Alright thanks lads, I downloaded it and played it for a bit. The whole RPG random weapon stuff and stats doesn't really sit well with me in a game like this

>Bayonetta
>Shit
I wish there was a place to actually discuss games with knowledgeable people

>Bayonetta
>shit
out with you

100% Yes. It's a cross between Bayonetta, Revengeance, Vanquish, and a loot-based RPG with G1 TF that's executed extremely well in terms of gameplay, visuals, sound, and story. The only issues are a lack of asset variety in terms of environments, no way to craft the exact weapon you want, and a couple of sections designed to pad the campaign. The replay value of the Challenge mode is unmatched though, since there's 5 distinct characters and a ton of weapon varieties you can put in your 4-slot loadout.

Same here, my friend. It's like everybody started to fucking listen this week for some reason.

Attached: 1530888672639.gif (932x992, 288K)

the game requires 0 skill to actually play just spam dodge for epic slow down time and just bash your head onto the controller

Thankfully TFD had disc releases on 4 consoles and some PC physical boxes with Steam codes inside so there's way more ways to find it and the High Moon TF games than digital-only games like Scott Pilgrim, Afterburner Climax, and Platinum's Korra game.

It was stupid how he shrank so much when he transformed anyways. Plus, who the fuck wants to transform into an inanimate object? Galvitron was a straight improvement in every way.

Does the new Power Rangers fighting game count?

Pretty great, short but so is MGR and thats pretty great too.
A lot of good fun for classic fans of Transformers as well, and a great final boss.
I would say its worth a playthrough.

Post footage of you playing NSIC getting PP

Witch Time is literally a crutch mechanic that the game makes less effective on higher difficulties and removes entirely from the highest. Judging an action game with any level of mechanical depth on its lower difficulties is almost purposeful idiocy.

I think both Bayonettas are pretty flawed games but you have no clue why they're flawed based on this post.

Attached: 1529013515092.jpg (500x375, 26K)

>It was stupid how he shrank so much when he transformed anyways. Plus, who the fuck wants to transform into an inanimate object?
It was a limitation from how the original Megatron toy was part of a separate line of toys from the vehicule Transformers

Lmao you retard. You really only repeat what you see on this board, don't you?

i don't record myself playing games
also you'd have to replay bayonetta to play on NSIC ontop of that PP requires things other than skill

>I have no proof
Every single time

Almost. It reuses assets from a mobile game and clearly has a tiny budget; it's only any good because they got actual FGC OGs to design the systems. The roster is fucking weird and basically designed for nobody too.

higher difficulties that aren't unlocked from the get go?
Proof of what
No that's what most bayo fags do not me silly

>PP requires things other than skill
???????????????

>Bayonetta is easy!!
>Post proof of you doing well
>Uh I have no proof
Hmmmm

I don't care.

because i don't record myself playing games ontop of that you're asking me to play on a difficulty that you unlock by playing it multiple times why would i play a game that i think is shit multiple times?

>No proof
clockwork

>why would i play a game that i think is shit multiple times?
To proove how easy it is

that's not exactly an argument but ok user

This game was also made to promote the Combiner Wars toyline. Which has Megs turning into a tank.

Megatron turning into a gun honestly doesn't fit his character. He can't do anything in that form, he has to have another Decepticon fire him. He's a leader and doesn't work alongside the other Decepticons, he delegates. Shockwave being a gun makes a lot more sense since he's very loyal to Megatron, even if in Devastation he's a comically large gun so you can see him in combat.

i have better things to do such as play games i enjoy

>Bayonetta is easy
>I asked you to post proof of you playing to see if you understand the game
>You have no proof
Imagine if I said I was the greatest Blazblue player in the world, you'd ask for proof. I would provide none, then you'd call my statement false

Take a picture of your results screen in Bayonetta with a timestamp. No recording needed. Yea Forums deletes exif data now so you don't have the excuse of "but I'll get doxxed".

He automatically fires by himself in the show's opening but doesn't do that in the actual episodes while Shockwave does it just fine

i'd have to reinstall bayonetta which i don't feel like doing

YOU GOT THE TOUCH

Honestly the only thing bad about the game is the fucked up scoring system.

The only way to get SS in everything is to just abuse slowmo and headshots. So that sucks the fun right the fuck out. Having a good weapon actually takes away from your score cus you'll kill enemies too fast.

Hell, post a screencap of your results screen proving you even cleared NSIC.

Post a screencap of your results screen proving you cleared Prime Difficulty on TFD, too, because that's 100% harder than clearing NSIC.

Platinum have never developed a decent scoring system, but you also get mad points in TFD for using Rush attacks a lot, so just keep going fast.

Game is incredible, but I do wish it hadn't had the weird loot mechanics. Just got annoying managing weapons between every level.

you're missing the point why would i replay a game i don't enjoy?

That game was so obviously made to be free to play then they charged at the last minute.

It has a free to play season model like Fortnite etc. So they'll be constantly adding content every few months for the foreseeable future. So the question is when does it go free to play across the board?

>Prime difficulty
I never claimed that, I'm OP and just started the game after the good word of mouth from this thread
>NSIC
Working on a PP run of it, not going well

Attached: 20190419083116_1.jpg (1920x1080, 350K)

Nope. It's just a very basic C.Action game without much that's new or engaging about how it's played. It's got some great music, and if you liked the old cartoon then it's a decent enough play, but most people will rightfully go through it once in a few hours and then never touch it again.

oh boy, what a day

(You)

Are you the guy who's saying Bayonetta is shit? Wait I'm confused

I think he was talking to the guy who's dodging constantly. Good on you for posting your Stone trophies, at least you cleared NSIC.

No I'm the guy who asked the "Bayonetta is shit" guy to post proof, then someone asked me to post proof

no i'm the guy saying it's shit

yes
it's like a halfway fusion of Metal Gear Rising and Bayonetta, it plays great.
Also I mean come on, they hired Stan Bush to make a fucking new song for it. That's a ton of love shown for the franchise.

The soundtrack is god-tier.

Attached: Aneki.png (413x418, 325K)

It's true though
Without tracks like youtu.be/QQODg8KOvjQ and the Transformers setting, people wouldn't really have cared about the game. There's nothing it really offers that other C.Action games haven't done better, unless you're just that enamored with the poorly-made weapon stat system.

I wasn’t challenging you, just chiming in an addendum to your post.

Attached: TRANSFORMERS_ Devastation_20190106214240.jpg (3840x2160, 570K)

If I didn't love War For Cybertron and Fall Of Cybertron so much this would be my favorite Transformers game. It's fantastic and definitely the best licensed game Platinum has made.

Mobility and ranged combat are top-notch and no other stylish action game has even come close to how great they are. The closest game in spirit is Warframe but while mobility and gunplah are better, it’s 100x grindier and the melee is way worse

>C.Action games
Kinda off topic but who came up with this shit name? Why don't we call em 3D Beat em ups? It's what they are.

>without much that's new or engaging about how it's played.
It introduces a bunch of mechanics to the general Platinum formula that no other action game of this type has attempted:
>Mixing complex melee combat with TPS gunplay and building an entire character (Wheeljack) around it
>Loot-based weapon drops and character/item leveling (this takes a little too much menu time to be fair)
>the Vehicle mechanics in general
>With one exception (Sentrybot), every single boss fight is a humanoid with distinct patterns and AI
>Overdrive, a combination of Style Meter and God Hand Levels that actually gives you more combo options and higher damage as long as you keep your momentum going
>Only action game with a dedicated grappler character (Grimlock) other than DMC4/5 (Nero)
>Somehow the ONLY action game I can think of with a dedicated drop-in Challenge mode where you can just fight a set wave of enemies or a boss or a duo/trio of bosses

Attached: 1530262813023.jpg (349x324, 75K)

it's a term from Japan that was used for certain kinds of NES games
it's more useful to single out the genre than say, Hack And Slash is, because in the 90s Hack And Slash already meant shit like Diablo. So that's kinda like suddenly calling FPS shmups outta nowhere.

THE SHADOW REMAINS CAST
boy, have I ever been there.

I think it’s a shame that action games as a whole put so much emphasis on not dying. I wish more games ranked you on your actual encounter performance rather than how many attempts it took for you to learn an encounter and master it before moving on.

100% kino ending. Optimus & Megatron just beating each other up in Earth's orbit, arguing about philosophy. Then that scene happens, and it's everything that makes Optimus a good character.

Hideki Kamiya calls them “stylish action” games, and he literally invented the genre, so

Because whenever someone calls them 3D Beat Em Ups, someone else always asks why not just call them Hack and Slash, and that always leads back to someone saying they're not like God of War or the original Splatterhouse, so the cycle continues.

As someone who has over 900 hours in Bayoneta across 3 versions, I'm going to give you a fun tip
trying to Platinum everything is shit and tedious and is the reason Jeanne and Little Zero can be unlocked with cheats

as long as you beat Rodin and Angel Slayer without cheating I'd say you've full cleared the game, the rest is too grindy and annoying to recommend bothering.

I agree. Pulling a whole rank from you for dying once is pretty shitty. I wouldn't remove this, though. Just make it so you can die a couple more times before the de ranking begins.

I never actually watched Transformers at all as a kid, and this game made me really like Optimus Prime. He seems like a super legit guy.

>he literally invented the genre
This is what platinumfags actually believe

Attached: 1533158933190.gif (320x240, 2.65M)

Theres a reason an entire generation saw him as a father figure. And cried uncontrollably when he died in the 86 movie.

That makes kinda sense, I'll accept it. Would you call MGRR a Hack n Slash or Beat em up? Just curious.
Aaaand I disagree. The hunt for Plat is very satisfying and rewarding.

can you name a game before dmc1 that could be the progenitor?

You do realize Kamiya directed the first Devil May Cry, right? I like Itsuno at least as much as I do Kamiya if not more but DMC1 was the first game to do a lot of the things these games do.

"Invented" might be giving him too much credit but this genre would absolutely not exist in the state that it does without Devil May Cry, so I think it's pretty fair to give him some credit.

If you bring up God Hand or Rising Zan now I'm going to step through the screen and kill you.

I've always believed that the best difficulty design in any game was Super Meat Boy: the game will punish you with immediate death dozens and dozens of times in a row, but it instantly restarts you without penalty, the levels/distance-to-checkpoints are mercifully short, and it demonstrates to you at end-mission how much you've improved.

It's a difficult game that wants you to master it and knows it's going to be hard.

I wish more games, especially action games, took that approach. I wish ranking systems were designed so that if you cheese-stratted an encounter, it would give you a D and ask if you wanted to retry the encounter, but if you died 30 times trying to play it "fair" and finally overcame the challenge in an amazing clutch play, it would give you the S rank and move on.

Which, you know, it does, but then at the end it counts up your retries and docks them from your score. It shouldn't. It should just be a running total of your mission results scores with a deduction for things like mid-fight items or revives.

Wow spoilers

i didn't mention itsuno anywhere at all

calm down, he comes back.

Attached: optimushuge.jpg (1535x2048, 261K)

Bayonetta's problems in that regard are numerous

Battles are hidden in areas you've already been forcing you to backtrack literally all the time or follow a guide, making everything tedious
there is no method of restarting a fight aside from full quitting the game and going to previous checkpoint
The game's scoring system expects literal perfection (or at least near perfection) on every encounter
The reward for doing this is an entire playable character, when honestly Jeanne should have been unlocked after clearing Hard or something.

I thought it was Shinji Mikami who did DMC 1

>Would you call MGRR a Hack n Slash or Beat em up?
No him but it does have that one VR Challenge mission where the camera is pulled out to an isometric sidescroller and it adds "GO>>>" arrows to the right side of the screen, so I know where it took its inspiration.

He was a library nerd that got forced into a leadership role because of planetary civil war and decided to devote himself to it.

I inferred that you either didn't know Kamiya directed DMC1 or thought that DMC3 was the originator, based on your post.

Okay but did Kamiya direct Rising Zan: The Samurai Gunman on PS1?

Because that's the true great granddaddy of this genre

you know what they say about assuming user you look like a real ass right now

Enjoy

The O is a 0

Please confirm if you redeem it.

He doesn't strike me as a father figure. He strikes me as an idealized political figure, which is actually why I like him.

>He was a library nerd
depends on the continuity desu.
tv show he was some blue collar worker
marvel comic he was already a senator
dreamwave comic he was some office worker that was selected as the next prime
idw comic he was a fucking supercop

Attached: Optimus.png (640x960, 745K)

Mikami and Kamiya co-directed Resident Evil 2. Kamiya was put on a project that was originally Resident Evil 4, but changed into a new IP because they kept changing mechanics and aesthetics. Mikami went on to make the actual RE4 later on. The only games in these sphere of stylish/crazy action that Mikami directed were God Hand and Vanquish.

I guess I do.

>He was a library nerd that got forced into a leadership role because of planetary civil war and decided to devote himself to it.
The best leaders are ones that don't want to lead.

Thanks

egg is truly on your face buddy

>no sequel where you beat the snot out of nova prime despite the ending setting that up
it hurts bros.

I wish I could find a dlc code.

nigger literally EVERYONE would love if their dad was optimus.

Attached: Optimus2.jpg (305x359, 22K)

Based user gifting pulled games. Literally playing my PS4 disc copy now so I'll let somebody else take it.

Thanks bro

Watch the cartoon, you'll see.

I like my dad, but Optimus would make a cool uncle.

The day it was delisted I went on Humble and bought a second key. You can still find it on key sites as well if you look hard enough.

Yeah, if only for posterity's sake. It's just three costumes, although Nemesis Prime looks sick and I'd find it useful in that one Challenge where you fight Megatron and Optimus at the same time; playing as Optimus during it can trick you on occasion since they don't recolor the enemy Optimus.

Post proof that you got it so I can see that people actually are nice and I'm not just getting trolled right here right now.

>tfw there was an Eva X Transformers crossover, but we never got see Optimus act like a dad to Shinji

Got it and am downloading right now.

I've gotten confused by this so many times fighting the Clone Autobots.

youtube.com/watch?v=g_Es7S0pVJs

I TYPED THE 6 AS G WTF IS WRONG WITH MEEEEEEEEEEEEE

>Vanquish
You're gonna like this game, user. Try running Sideswipe with a few ranged weapons once you get acclimated.

Attached: 1542399369541.png (239x372, 128K)

Speaking of Vanquish how do you git gud at it? I keep wanting to do cool slow motion stuff but I get ruined and overheat

You're in for a treat. Just remember:

>it gets harder. Much harder.
>the challenge missions are the best thing about it
>Bumblebee or Optimus are the best characters to pick until you know what you're doing
>You can turn off the on-screen prompts for shit like Vehicle Attacks since they're pretty annoying once you learn the timing
>You can turn off aim-assist but you definitely shouldn't until you've mastered incorporating gunshots into your combos naturally
>the game doesn't teach you half of its mechanics, but the Autobot Icon is your style meter and when it starts to flash red, you actually get access to better offensive options.

I played a demo for this a while ago and found it fun but just never picked it up for whatever reason.
Also the PC port of Vanquish is amazing, I always found it a very subpar game on console but with M&K (and the weapon DLC) it's fantastic.

im sure it shouldnt be hard to find it used.

Just tell yourself it was claimed by the time you finished typing it.

Yeah....

Dodge roll to cancel your reloads
Use the shotgun to bully everything
Wish that Vanquish had a Ki Pulse mechanic to restore your cooldown if you timed it right.

Pretty good, but a little short. I would say it is a good game to pick up at $15.

I know everyone loves free shit but be aware you can totally still buy keys for this game on G2A. It's not unavailable (yet).

The number one way to play Vanquish is to completely not give a fuck about leveling up your weapons. That mechanic is poorly done and is a waste of time and makes you keep the same 3 weapons during the campaign, which is tedious.

Number one tip is to hold down spacebar to move. It's fast, dodges attacks, allows your heat to recharge, and you can pop into slowmo just by aiming at any time.
Try to keep a shotgun at all times as it has a lot of ammo and massacres things up close. Easily the best weapon.
You should not melee unless it's on the last enemy because it overheats you. If you have a gun that has the Guile Flash Kick as its melee move, you can actually use it with no enemies around and aim while in the air to slowmo.
Once you're in a new firefight, speed along to see if there's a power weapon available and take out any nasty bigger enemies.

Or if you want to play the safe pussy way, grab the laser gun that uses your heat and use that to headshot all enemies.

Fuck all Decepticons.

Attached: Optimus Prime slaughters decepticons.webm (720x540, 2.85M)

the boss battles in this game were basically what a good new 3D Megaman game should be like

>fucking 4 player co-op campaign
>in what is basically Bayonetta Diablo
Platinum was on some serious shit when they made this

That is how I ended up with two copies of the game.

The code I posted was originally posted with a Q instead of 0 in text form, It was only later I got the key in image form.

In the meanwhile I bought and activated a copy from a diffrent seller.

TLDR
Spent more than 150USD for a game.

Devastation doesn't have co-op. It was TMNT that did, and that game is easily the worst game Platinum's made.

>TFD as the basis for a 3D Megaman game
10/10 idea, except it doesn't have wall kicks. Add Warframe's wall kicks and you can have all my money.

>tfw Bumblebee was legit
>tfw China saved its box office numbers
>tfw its now an official reboot and has a sequel in the works

>Is this game actually good?

NO, it's a smash-em up. Was dying for a G1 game and they fucked us with this trash. I wanted something on par with War/Fall of Cyberton but with the cartoon aesthetic!!!FACT!!!

You're made of AIDS and retarded.

>You're made of AIDS and retarded.

How droll, faggot!!!FACT!!!

I hadn't seen this FACT!!! guy make a post around here in a fat minute

It's great. It's somewhat repetitive and the level design is a mixed bag, though. I wish it had a sequel, especially given that bait ending.

Attached: 1444205386706.jpg (1920x1080, 264K)

Mind buying some keys for another 150? Hahaha. Also, I think I'm just going to buy it over Amazon, apparently they sell those pc codes still. Might try but I don't want to lose 40$

>tfw this is the only transformers game I bought before they were all gone
why couldn't activision let people know they were going to lose the license?

Shockwave's alt mode is also a Transformer-sized gun that can float and move and fire itself.

shockwaves gun mode is literraly car sized, its goddamn huge

I don't see any on AMAZON.

Ahh

Local ones.

Ye

question:
started playing on hard and enemies have a fuck load of health
am I doing something wrong? it's like 5-7min for each encounter

It's a poor man's Bayo with wonky shooting and terrible loot.

The game has stats, both the characters and weapons. If you're good enough to can beat Commander from the get-go but early game it'll be like that. Just make sure you feed some of your weapon drops to the weapons you like whenever you get go to the ARK, and maybe feed excess credits into stats as well. You also get better damage when you're in Maximum Overdrive, so just keep dodging and doing Vehicle Attacks when prompted to keep your momentum up and build Overdrive.

Christ, i paid $7 for the physical ps4 version brand new

I got mine for $11 after trading in my copy of Street Fighter 5. 2nd-best time-for-investment I've had in vidya since I've put in a few hundred hours over the past 2 years. Only beaten by Ultimate Marvel 3 which I easily have 1200+ hours in.

The hunt for plat is flawed, but ultimately a worthy soujurn imo. The fact that you have to hit every alfheim isn't so bad, but some of them are harder than like anything else in the game. Getting plat on them while not abusing KG glitch, Gaze or sword PKP spam (IE, "trying to be stylish") is a nightmare, and they can be a little challenging even if you DO abuse those things. That said, they are all "fair" and require you to strategize and react well. I highly recommend getting used to quitting to title (not to chapter menu) so you can reload checkpoints, and also leave an alfheim after you enter it to make a checkpoint for future retrys. If you're on PC, learn to save scum. If you don't wanna save scum (takes 4 seconds, don't be a bitch), then you gotta learn which verses allow you to pause on the scorecard and quit to title if you failed, and which ones checkpoint before scorecard. 80% of them checkpoint after, so you're mostly good, but they can kill your level progress if you fuck one up at the end of a chapter. Also finishing a fight with tetsu will have bayo shout Juunen Haya Daio if you got the PP, so that's one way to "check" if you get to PP before scorecard, but you'll have to end EVERY fight that way.

So what exactly gives points for scoring? So far I've just been spamming reversals, headshots and vehicle attacks.

Kind of weird for me though considering I played exclusively as grimlock as soon as he was unlocked so optimus stats were shit.

Main bonuses are for completing it quickly and not taking damage, but you get bonus points for about a dozen other things every time you do them. Vehicle Attacks, Headshots, Parries, Reversals, Grapples, Ultimates, etc.

The one issue with the scoring system is that it's a raw point level for each ranking, and there's no multiplier penalties, so you can SS a fight even if you got hit a dozen times, even if you healed. The one way around this is if you develop a TECH with the All-In ability, that buffs your damage but takes away your ability to heal.

Various things and i'm still not certain how it all works. I think some things can stack, as i can rack up hundreds of points from rush attacks, rush combos and vehicle attacks during the longer challenges. However, status effects seem to be a flat number (maybe increases for DIFFERENT types of status effects?). Overdrive and focus give score too, but i dunno how. Attacks landed during them? How many times you activate? How long you stay in them? Regardless, i don't get too much from them even tho i'm in focus all the time and overdrive 95% of the time.

You have a good method. Don't cancel combos forever like it's DMC, finish and get the "reward" at the end like you're playing bayo. Finish strings into vehicle attacks, cancel those into gunshots til you get spark, then VA, then shove or spin, VA, shoot, VA ETC. Use counters after your dodges in order to get even more VAs, don't be afraid to do the burnout VA if you only have one dude left in a wave. Headshots are worth if you're using the dodge + aim, but they'll kill fast. Remember that you're TOO strong with decent gear. If you use ulti on CD and mash on attacks, you will probs kill too fast and not get score. Save ulti for annoying waves or last ~10% of boss health. If you have strong SS weapons with speed on all slots, then just mashing on attack is some of your best DPS. Ignoring shove and VA will let you burn through healthbars, but those normal attacks don't get score and they don't smack enemies around like your VAs and certain gun attacks will.

Thanks. I haven't really gotten far, just cleared normal once. How stats-based is the game?

You won't need to worry about character stats much as long as you keep using the character. Weapon stats matter though, but you get better rarities the harder your difficulty and you can farm Challenges on your hardest difficulty to get some. Once you get an A or S-Rank of the same type as a weapon you have, just feed that old weapon to it to get it up to speed quickly, since the EXP it gives is based on its Level.

Only thing to note is that beating Commander will unlock your level cap, and then beating Magnus will give you the final cap as you unlock the final difficulty, Prime.

>Pull them to you
>Immediately do the Drag-and-Dunk command grab OR launch into midair dunk
Only thing better is being in Dino Mode and launching into a T-REX PILEDRIVER

Platinum should make a Master of the Universe game

>RPG elements and grinding
lol nah

I fucking hate witch time,
I played through the fucking game 3 times and then on the highest difficulty they just drop it entirely? Now it's a fucking clutch that I relied on for multiple fucking playthroughs, why is it even in the game in the first place if you don't want your skilled playerbase to use it. Fuck. Just let me learn the game proper from the start. It's like playing DMC and Easy Automatic is impossible to switch off unless you are playing DMD.
Gracious and Glorious are the best part of Bayo 1 btw bar none.

Sort of a lot or not a lot. It's hard to describe. See, i was just posting this in CGG, but basically once you get decent leveled weapons, your best DPS is ltierally mashing attack. VAs and fancier stuff is all for stacking score or playing safer, but just mashing punch with an SS weapon that is leveled to 50 while fuck health bars up. You don't need to go ham on the skills (that's the stuff you slot into weapons) to do well, but you should aim to eventually have something fun to use.

Most youtubers that i copied did something like this:
>6 attack speeds on all melees
since melee speeds up how quick you get to the end of your strings and speeds up shove/spin. Also it'll get you to overdrive quicker. Also charges faster for drills/hammers/anything. An SS weapon deals PLENTY of base damage, you don't need damage +.

>main gun
load up one item pull and then 5 overdrives. This weapon is best as a spreadshot, but blasters, dualies and assault rifles can work. The item pull is for fueling your ammo without having to walk over stuff, the overdrives are for getting to overdrive ASAP so you can abuse shove and spin/get free speed. Once you're in OD you can swap to a ranged weapon that's more ammo-dependant and skilled with cooler stuff, then swap back to your spreadshot when you drop overdrive. Try a heavy named weapon like devestator's rifle with two energeon attack +, maybe a couple of ammo + and then energon drop +. It does plenty of damage. Go back to spread so you can drag in energy when you run dry (which'll be soon).
>4th slot
Whatever. On WJ i run another gun, on everyone else i run an alt melee. Grim and prime have a hammer and something lighter, the other boys have their named weapons then the star saber and dark star saber for prettiness. Same principles, all melee have 6 attack speed. Guns get tailored builds based on their ammo needs and their "role". A "main" gun should always have overdrive x 5 and item pull, and it should be good on ammo.

Alright. Time to keep playing then

Locked difficulties are the real cancer here, theres no real reason any of these games should force you to unlock the real difficulty settings. Its probably so that idiots can get excited from upgrades and unlocking weapons like theyre playing fuckin Zelda.

>Why is it even there
So people who don't explore the depth can have a fun time, the team at Platinum have had interviews where they say they want the novice players to have an enjoyable time as well

Then make it a purchasable ability or give an option to turn it on/off with the default being off, like other crutch mechanics.
God knows Platinum doesn't have an issue with forcing you to purchase game critical mechanics.

Hey buddy I didn't make the game, just that's why it's there

You do have a point with that last thing. W101 has Hero Time as an optional upgrade in the shop and they lock Unite Guts behind it too.

Who is that tanned stranger with pecs like melons and knees of fringe? And why is he never seen in the same room as handsome Prince Adam?
