>granny hunt has a quest for me to deliver an item to the pirate chick
>naive me thought il lget immunity for the delivery
>her cannons tear my flagship apart in 5s
that tfw when

did they changed the performance over the Beta?

>these credits
The game has too much soul, bros.

Its good but its just the same old. The new world and the change when you get electricity are neat.

Can they crack it already? I am not rich.

>Its good but its just the same old.
Shut the fuck up, the game brings dozens of major changes to the series.

>sign an exclusivity deal with scumbag company and try to pass it off as “competition”
There must be consequences for this shit. Not getting my money ever. Crack when?

>Available on Epic
>Available on Uplay
It isn't exclusive at all.
Quit making up justifications for your niggerish behavior.

And it's not going to be cracked for WEEKS, maybe months.

New world is comfy.
Pro tip: never play against the 3-star AI. They are all assholes

Attached: Anno 18002019-4-18-17-52-25.jpg (2560x1440, 1.35M)

Does the AI cheat or are they just more efficient in how they build?

Is there any way to take over islands peacefully? Can you annex it if you own all the shares?

What do you think the shares are for?

Pretty sure they cheat but they are easy to beat militarily. What sucks is that their diplomacy is full asshole mode. Impossible to even get trade rights and once they declare war on you it's impossible to get a ceasefire.

If they are gonna act like niggers then I will too. Try and stop me faggot.

I understand but if you think about it, it really does make the most sense to get it on uplay if you had the choice of any number of stores.

DEVILISH

So ultimate question - is this game Yea Forums approved?

Attached: AnnoUnionSeasonPasst1.png (1920x1080, 3.12M)

I'm having a fucking brainfart. Just hit stage 2 of campaign, working on getting steel going. Going by this image, a "perfect" balance of production is 1 iron mine, 2 charcoal plants, 2 furnace and 3(?) steel mills? Just feels like a lot of steel can be produced from only 1 mine, technically

Attached: 1555576744446.jpg (4116x2884, 859K)

Technically yes, but steelworks also need a lot of workers while iron is also used for a couple of other production chains. Not to mention the massive attractiveness malus of steel works or iron industries in general.

so then starting out is it just best to do 1 steelworks and pump up its productivity?

>massive attractiveness malus
It's like -100 if everything is set up. That's like 3 shitty green artifacts, it's nothing.

>need a large armada for final battle
>shipseller douche only selling clippers

Attached: 1464133420165.jpg (399x388, 17K)

Who cares what Yea Forums thinks nowadays. This is the board that now thinks WoW, Halo, CoD: Modern Warfare, Oblivion and Mass Effect are classics of the genres. The rest is pathetic consolewars shit. It's literally the third worst board on the site and in no way better than Reddit or any other site with the exception of a proper imageboard layout still.

Jesus Christ I'm going to have to settle multiple islands just to feed the foundries.

Yeah, if the 50 smash threads that pop up every time there is even a whiff of a new character "getting in" doesn't clue you in then I don't know what will. It's the most normie fighting game in the history of gaming.

They cheat. They can start more advanced and with more materials.
By the fucking time I had gotten 50 Workers, Beryl O'Mala had Artisans and was producing steel like mad.

And she's only god damn Advanced, not even Expert.

Quit following charts and just use your head

Ok, so is that game approved by (you)?

It's a great game. It advances what 1404 started which was a direct upgrade to 1701.

it gehts further complicated since you need the steel from the furnace for other endproducts as well. You can substitute 1 steel mill for 2 Weapon factories. At Artisans, you will need to build sewing machines, also using the same steel. And even later you need steel for steam motors to make steam carriages. I guess it helps to think of this as two different things. Make steel in the most efficient way (2 coal, 1 iron) and then add all of the various buildings that need steel as necessary. You will propably not build completely new and seperate production chains for all the aforementioned goods.

I reject most of my quest until I unlocked a stable tier 3 inhabitants. most of the early quest rewards below tier 2 are mediocre just like previous anno games. it's not worth the time to get distracted by it.

It actually manages to beat 1404 which was arguably the best Anno before 1800 came out.

How does this Anno compare to the others?

>He doesn't sell ships to Sir Archibald for fat stacks of cash

Attached: counting-money.jpg (640x427, 34K)

>is this game Yea Forums approved
>imperialism simulator
>comfy
>autistic
>99% of Yea Forums will never reach end game
looks like it

>he doesn't earn 5k+ income and already have 100k at least saved up

Those are rookie numbers. A Ship of the line will net you $50k and they are easy to pump out early game.

It might be the best Anno since 1404. I like 1800 a lot. It still needs to be tested for endgame viability. At the moment it seems like in the late game multiple mechanics of the game force you to build/play in a certain way. For example you need to use influence points if you want to min-max your production chains (+prod% items in trade unions), build a merchant fleet, build war ships and add to your zoo/museum. At the end of the day you propably won't be able to do it all simultaneously and building a huge mega city is penalized/made less reachable than ever in the Anno series. If you just want to build beautiful cities without minmaxing and trying to build huge cities, you will never see these or any limitations.

mfw you didn't get to bang the princess and Jorgensen but the game implied that your sister rode the minority cock carousel for the sake of wokeness

Attached: 1461114544978.jpg (1920x824, 567K)

>The rest of the old worlds oil is on the AI islands
Sorry Wibbly, I take no pleasure in killing you.

you actually need ships of the line to fight wars unless you are playing on easy mode.

Oi, b-but what a'out the shnakes mate
mental innit

>start an expert game with granny, the mad autist spic and my jorgensen wife
>30mins in and the autist is already sieging thhe jorgensen islands while giving me quests to sink his ships that dont fight back
tfw

she also funds the pythorian or whatever they are called war by supplying weapons to them
>hey sweety, a ship forgot to load a few crates, be a dear and bring those to them
>10t of weapons directly to a madlad warship

How did this guy make it into a game that's supposed to be kid friendly?

Attached: Alonso.png (584x584, 405K)

Imagine a 12 year old playing fucking Anno. His zoomer brain would explode.

After he fucks Jorgensen he will come for you.
Build harbor defenses. You have been warned.

Imagine not playing city builders by age 12.
Your childhood must have sucked.

tfw anno 1602 was my first game

I feel like 1800 is far less intuitive in this regard. Other annos it was fairly simple to see 2X=1Y or whatever it was but this one there seems to be far more sharing of production chains so that you never really have a "perfect" chain going, its more of a give and take as you need it

what did he mean by this??

Attached: really tinkers the noggin.jpg (601x296, 33K)

I heard the last few Annos was bad. Is Anno 2070 any good?

campaign got really buggy in the new world quests. i had to go back to and old save three times now because quests didn't work. also old world drink run WAY too fast, its worse than spices in 1404.

2070 is great, especially with deep ocean.
2205 did some really cool stuff, but for every cool thing it did it did 10 wrong things. all the good stuff from it was brought into 1800 though.

Some Patch Notes for next week (4/25)
>Diplomacy: Lowered the cooldown of “Flattering” and “Gifting” from 60 mins to 30 mins.
>Diplomacy: Negotiations in the late game now cost ~70% less.

Jesus christ

Anyone else keep getting this stupid bug where you select a fire station and everything in it is gibberish and it won't deploy the extra firefighters?

Attached: 20190418182901_1.jpg (1920x1080, 787K)

just turn off the ai people at this point. there's nothing wrong with wanting the whole map to yourself, hell its still a great logistical challenge juggling all the goods, but don't cheapen diplomacy for everyone else.

There's also a couple items I found are completely broken. One of the items called "ship tools" or something is supposed to increase self repair by 400% when used and also work even when taking damage. It's a ship item and can only be equipped onto ships... but it only works on buildings.

>already making a ton of money off shares I bought on other islands
>carnival hits
I'm not even developed enough to spend all this money

r8 my zoo
had 2 expeditions come back so i needed to rush some fields in the back without propar ornamentation

Attached: 20190418215945_1.jpg (1920x1080, 739K)

That ain't shit. It's not even enough to buy the half decent items.

It really isn't, but in the span between my post and yours I've made another 70 grand.
also, trade unions are flat out busted. pic related

Attached: the pigs grow themselves.jpg (316x323, 34K)

another 200k and you can get your first truly good rare item/person.

>70 grand
Again, literally nothing

>+1220
>a ton
heh, wait till you get investors and set up a zoo and expo then start bringing in tourist whales.

Can you marry/fuck the pirate lady?

you need a bigger gun than she has to fuck her
otherwise she will fuck you

Which trader sells fertility items? (Are there fertility items?

There are are but they suck. I think they only work within the radius of a trade union.

the productivity boosts only require the farm house to be in the radius, not the entire field. Don't fertility items work the same?

>Don't fertility items work the same?
They do. Decent Items in general are hard to come buy I've found though. Especially if you have a particular one in mind.

Though the Baker is a common item and easy to get from the prison and greatly improves the bread chain by cutting out flour and making it 1:1.

Well yeah but it's still an issue. In older anno games, all you'd need is the item in your main warehouse and the entire island would have fertility. Now you only have whatever the union can touch and that's not a whole lot of space.

>6k population
>still enough room for a giant zoo like that
Fucking how?

just build a gulag for your farmers and workers.

This game goes from fun and comfy to immediately panic-inducing stress once you hit Artisan
Can anyone help a brother out and give me some advice for this particular point of the game?

Have a farmer island to feed your main island with raw resources.

Just wait until you hit engineers and have to scrape together all the coal and iron you can find just to keep the foundries going.

So basically never have full production chains on other island? Just build a farmer gulag?

Later on when you have commuter ports you can, its just easier to only have farmers and maybe a handful of workers on other islands because they are easy to please.

you can transfer workforce between islands once you hit engineers. That's when you can move whole production chains easily.

Playing on normal gives a very large island to play with.

its the campagin map on almost expert

Attached: gulag.jpg (1339x840, 294K)

I wonder if trying to get ship of the line (or maybe even just a big fleet of frigates?) as soon as possible to knock out your rivals is the best strategy for actually doing the 100% hardmode. Because the amount of space really is miserable, though it does seem to vary a bit depending on what layout you use. Archipelago just gives one decently large island per player.

Attached: 1547480878414.jpg (1920x1080, 338K)

I did it.
:3

torpedos are OP btw. Made really short work of that last fight.

Attached: 20190418200538_1.jpg (1920x1080, 333K)

Did you get the ubisoft club achievements (not the in-game achievements) when you finished it?

CRACK PLEASE AAAAAAAAAAA

This game is too stressful for me. I want a city builder to be comfy.

I guess I am playing on Normal difficulty and I could go to easy, but then I'd feel like a bitch. But jesus there's so much shit going on and to keep track of and worry about, and fucking archibald is commenting on my trade every 2 minutes SHUT THE FUCK UP

fuck the yogscast and their greedy jew scams and fuck this game for supporting them

I'm not as far along as a lot of you guys but I'm having a lot of fun.

Attached: anno1800.jpg (1919x1200, 1.17M)

There's no shame in playing how you want. After beating the campaign on expert I'm chillaxing with a no-rivals easy mode game just to explore the late game stuff.

what

>it's a find the miniscule single pixel character that moves around your massive sprawling and busy city and then do it four more times quest

I've nearly unlocked Artisans (just need Education), and I'm still only making like 160 gold and only have 56000.

Should I just restart
Fuck this game reeee

Just focus on making sure your luxuries are maxed out. You can recover.

I saw a couple pop up but didn't read them.

Friendly reminder to keep your beaners supplied with tortillas!

It was so much easier in 1404 when there was a clear highlight on the target. 2205 and 1800 is a total eye strain.

You can always make a sandbox game and remove all the AI players. Then it's just you building at your leisure.

See, that's how I play it. I never bother with AI players because I don't want to be in a race with them for land.

How hard is it to BTFO the AI of islands anyway? I haven't tried yet but im really slow to expand.

Pirate in the New World is 300% nigger. I thought Anne was annoying but she's just a little girl pretending to be a pirate compared to this guy. Had to beg him for a ceasefire or he would have shut down my entire operation.

Attached: BBM3666_DevBlog_Pirate_SA_Screenshot_01-1024x576.png (1024x576, 983K)

its like any other rts game, its a rush for land and resources then building enough military power to both defend what you take and take more for yourself until the other guys has nothing left. you can form alliances with other people as well.

>o'mara is now up to 4 islands after BTFO'ing willie
and I just got trade rights with willie. fug

Attached: bread city.jpg (1920x1080, 1.07M)

I can't build pigs fast enough for these needy fucking workers, why cant they just be happy with half sausages fuck

Would you be happy with half a sausage? I wouldn't be, I'm barely satisfied with 2

I feel like 2-stars are way too kind tho

I have this one cute AI girl who gives me money and always allies me instantly, what a nice girl I like her. I'll protect her from that evil nigger and that fat white drumpf male.

I'm specifically wondering how long it takes to kick them off an island and/or how to do it. I have no idea. Do I have to destroy all their buildings? I assume not.. their trading post?

C-crack soon, right?

Attached: 1522512369762.jpg (604x613, 51K)

What should I play while waiting for crack?

Attached: anno.png (339x275, 23K)

Give me a quick rundown on this

1404

>overlooked that my new world colony doesnt have any bananas
fukkkkk wat now

How do you invest influence?

>18 hours playing
>only just this moment realized you don't need to produce hard-to-get items
>you can literally just have anything you need wormholed into your warehouse using money

Has this always been a thing in Anno? I never fucking knew that.

Attached: 1339203359287.png (273x253, 152K)

1602

Manage production chains and logistics to fulfill the needs of your citizenry and upgrade them to citizens with more complex needs. Future industries might cut into old production chains forcing a restructuring. You also need to manage several islands to have access to all the resources you'll need and ship resources to and from places.
For instance
>need beer
>make grain farm, make malt house, make brewer
>oh no hops on another island
>settle another island
>fulfill those citizens needs
>build hops farm
>ship hops back to brewery
>citizens have beer

What's a good product to overproduce for export?

I was told going into ship building was a good idea and i should spam ships of the line to Duke Whatshisface

This, but I've noticed that sewing machines are very expensive too. Generally higher tier products are good to sell even in small quantities

>Want to play battleships and blow shit up
>Need to get competent enemies
>But get highly stressful building phase

>Want to get comfy game
>Need to remove enemies
>But get empty map with no need for military portion of the game

tsk

Bros, I can't stop restarting...
How do you start your city off the right way so you don't end up with a ugly mess?

Sewing machines need iron though right
I kind of disqualified stuff like sewing machines and Isabella or whoever's requests for weapons because theres only so many iron mines to supply you

At least something like soap you can spam to the Alcatraz guy for as much land you have available for pigs

1503

Embrace the grid.
Look at Bright Sands and note the square 9x9 blocks of engineers/investors with the fountains in the center, seems like a nice template

Attached: maxresdefault.jpg (1280x720, 386K)

>tfw still no Anno 9
I want it to take place in Greece so much

I'm gonna be fucking sick.

Attached: tre.jpg (300x300, 18K)

Germans at it as usual

Attached: anno 1800.png (796x172, 36K)

I swear most citybuilder players see the world as black and white.
Nothing keep you from using a little bit of grid for your important shit then make it nice and go a little wild decorations.
Best of both worlds, niggas

Are you referencing importing? They don't give you a stable supply that you can rely on.

>>a game that's supposed to be kid friendly?
>Game about colonisation, literally the most evil thing man has done after the holocaust and separating undocumented children from their parents
>Kid friendly
Lmao

I haven't even attempted playing with them in 1800 but it's Bluebyte business as usual for all AI players to cheat.

They're programmed so that instead of actually needing resources or anything they just have timings they use to determine how much shit they're cranking out. For the hard difficulty AI it's frustrating like pushing a boulder up a hill trying to fight them.

You could only unlock the portrait for Cardinal Lucius in 1404 by fighting against all of the hard difficulty AIs and it was hellish. I honestly bet less than 5% of players even beat it.

>patch 01
>we fixed deyncs and crashes but you can have the patch until next thursday
but why?

>citizen quest where they want you to collect stray dogs
>stray dogs are there all the time as props
>no differentiate which are the ones the citizen wants

Literal needle in a haystack tier bullshit. Done for the day. This is stupid.

The stray dogs walk around on the street in a large group

Yeah I noticed they're like a huge group of dogs. There also 3 of them (groups) but once I clicked one group the others also disappeared and I was done with the quest.
