I personally don't know much about persona, aside from a few things, but here's what I know about the reveal. (Also pic related is fake)
>Persona 5 Arena will be revealed during E3 during Nintendo's Presentation. >P5A will have a total of 11 characters at base launch, with 5 DLC coming later >DLC will be included in one pack >Characters revealed in the trailer are Ren Amamiya, Ryuji Sakamoto, Ann Takamaki, and Morgana. >Running on DBFZ engine >Trailer shows a little cinematic at the beginning in the velvet room, Then it showcases about a minute of gameplay, and then these details >Q4 2019 >Switch, Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC.
I mean, p4au came out for the 360 and PC so it’s not really that far out
Jaxson Martin
>p4au came out for the 360 Oh shit I forgot about that, but I never heard of it getting an official PC port.
Gavin Miller
what were you expecting?
Lincoln Myers
P4AU did not come out on PC. The board that its built on got emulated perfectly so its playable on PC. But you're right that its not unrealistic it'd be for all platforms. DBZF and blazblue tag battle are.
Jonathan Myers
It doesn't have an official PC port, you just emulate the arcade version
Nathaniel Evans
>running on DBFZ engine >also on PC you could at least try
Realistic enough that I should believe you but also I genuinely don't believe you.
Matthew Foster
Why would Atlus bother with 5 Arena when >Persona 5 is in literally the biggest game in the genre at the moment and is a pretty decent advertising for the game itself >Persona 3/4 are still in circulation because of BBTAG being on consoles and now Arcades
Logan Gray
With that logic why did Atlus bother with the P5 anime? Japs love their advertising.
I doubt it'll be announced this year, and if it is I doubt it'll be announced at E3. ATLUS care significantly more about their Japanese audience than their Western audience and never announce things at Western events, so that alone is enough to have a hard time believing this, and ArcSys have DLC for BBTAG, Granblue Versus and DBFZ DLC and going and there'll probably a new Guilty Gear being announced this year too. The only really relevant one of those is the BBTAG DLC seeing as I imagine that's the team that would work on P5A, but there's still some crossover in the staff between games, so I imagine they already have enough work on their plate to be close to announcing P5A, even if I don't doubt they probably have at least done some concept work for it. ATLUS also have P5R and maybe whatever P5S is to keep people's attention on P5 in the meantime, so I doubt they're feeling too rushed to be putting out P5A.
Jose Myers
Arc Sys always on that grind
Asher Morales
It's cheaper to make new 3D models and animate those than draw a bunch of sprites. Sadly.
Zachary Reed
It’s going to be presumably a 2D anime fighter. 11-15 characters is the standard and everyone gets butthurt every time. I don’t know how it’s not expected at this point
Robert Green
>another exclusive lost how will ponies cope?
Jeremiah Campbell
I think it still is cheaper, but the way ArcSys do that Xrd style isn't quite time efficient as the way something like KOF XIV or SFV do 3D models in a fighting game.
Parker Gomez
Persona arena was exclusive tranny
Christian Edwards
>Persona arena was exclusive no it wasn't.
Jaxson Clark
Believable.
Matthew Hall
I meant to type wasn't
Gavin Thomas
It would be nice if they released P4Ultimax on current gen consoles + Steam too.
Ryder Ross
You fucked up the moment you called it P5A and not P5U.
Isaac Evans
I eagerly await the day I can play as Makoto in a fighting game. >martial arts >revolver >motorcycle >MUH JUSTICE fucking hype
Aaron Price
The first Persona fighting game had 13 characters and its sequel added 8 more, 9 if we count a DLC character. Launching with 11 would be a massive downgrade.
Jason Hill
It's in a Nintendo presentation so Nintendo is doing it for them.
Brayden Ortiz
I just want the whole basic cast to be playable right from the beginning. I'd also like to have some bad guys playable like Kamoshida or Shido, but Atlus will probably go with Donut Steel villains and a shitty new story.
>Persona 5 Arena will be revealed during E3 during Nintendo's Presentation. Stopped right there. If a big Weeb game that's multiplat is getting announced at E3, Its gonna be on MS's stage
it's about who goes to the company first, Nintendo could've gotten the deal to announce it first when they were negotiating to get Joker in Smash.
Nolan Evans
>PC nope
Jonathan Gutierrez
>Running on DBFZ engine nice, who's the dev?
William Reyes
Why would you include the dlc to compare against the launch? 11 would be pretty on par with p4u and it may look much nicer in dbzf engine
Christopher Lopez
I still doubt that because it's an ATLUS game so they still get to choose where it's announced unless they have some deal with Nintendo. If Nintendo did want to give them a platform to announce it and they took it they'd probably want to announce it at a Japanese focused Direct like they did with SMTV.
Cameron Butler
Just imagine making a fighting game and using Purseowner instead of bringing Power Instinct back. Fuck Fatlus
Elijah Cooper
obviously kek system works
Kayden Foster
Any DLC predictions you could make or no
Brody Rogers
Meant p4a
Kayden Stewart
>Japanese focused Direct like they did with SMTV. I thought SMTV was announced during E3
Asher Lee
In P4U only Aigis, Mitsuru and Akihiko returned from 3. The rest were added in Ultimax, with Ken/Koromaru having to be combined and console exclusive. This is in addition to adding side characters like Marie, Margaret and Adachi, as well as making Rise playable.
Let's assume they skip Goro because he's dead and Futaba because she's nav. That leaves 7 playable from 5. Bring back Aigis, Mitsuru and Akihiko since they're probably the three most popular from 3 (besides Door, who's a Door), then bring back Yu, Yosuke and either Teddie or Naoto from 4 for the same reasons. That's 13 characters. Then add donut steel girl and bring back Elizabeth. Everyone else can be DLC, sequel, or sequel DLC.
Charles Gray
I really wish they'd drop this "muh canon" philosophy. Dead characters should be playable even if they don't appear in the story.
Henry Lee
SMTV was announced at the Switch announcement presentation.
Dominic Edwards
>Teddie or Naoto from 4 Its gonna be Chie.
William Moore
they'll asspull goro in because of popularity, they brought adachi out of jail for 4AU.
Nolan James
Yeah but Adachi wasn't dead
Cooper Reed
Yeah same. Fuck it, have a story mode and exclude those characters
Isaac Hughes
I can see them asspulling Goro, but not in the base game. DLC or sequel.
Hunter Kelly
>Running on DBFZ engine It's called Unreal Engine 4.
Also, you just stole it from some shitty literally who site that published similar sounding article about a week ago.
That logo looks horrendously tacky, you should make a better one next time user.
Jacob Watson
We have no idea WHEN the timeframe for the fighting game would be, though. Sure, it happened afterwards for P4A, but PQ1 happened right in the middle of the games for P3 and P4 and it's probably the same for P3D and P5D (almost definitely non-canon since they're happening at the same time, while the characters from P3 should be much older than those of P5). Also, at this point, the characters from P3 would probably be considered to be awfully old by animu standards (life in anime basically stops at 25), so I don't see them making a comeback. And Goro's too popular not to include. Just make a big bag that's possessing his body, or spirit or whatever, then have the player use his fujoshi power to save Goro's soul, and have a super gay scene where he thanks Joker. Also, I fucking want my cute wife Futaba playable in the first iteration of the game.
Op here, as I said, I don’t really know much about persona aside from a few basic things but I’m guessing they might bring in persona 3 and 4 characters. Who knows they might pull a DBFZ and make multiple packs.
