You can change the music whenever you want by pressing "done" but you can't change backgrounds so you should be sure on what you select
I did a remake of an already fun map without the shitty rising lava. Plays well enough against the AI, so I'm assuming it'll be fine against real players.

It’s tricky, but I think possible? It seems that objects that you place next to each other often stick to each other, for better or worse. Maybe try building it seperate first and moving it over to the main body? Either that or leaving a space in between so they don’t stick.
probably put the arm 1 layer behind the body with the body in the foreground so the arm can be a hazard. attach the rotator to the arm and then drag the arm where you need it.
You'll have to detach the arm from the body just a little bit. Turn off the grid and you'll be able to squeak the arm in tight.
Or put it in a different layer
Have the skeleton's body be a foreground element and the skull be the middleground element, or the body being in the middleground with the arm being in the background, depending on what you want as interactable.

Here. The lava cylinders respawn at the top, the green squares rotate at varying speeds and change directions """randomly""" and since everything green is Bouncy Rubber, this makes the lava things bounce everywhere. Basically the game becomes a clusterfuck.

I've seen someone play a stage in an arena match that they didn't have downloaded so yes.
Also currently there doesn't seem to be any way for them to remotely remove a stage you've downloaded. So if you get a stage before it is removed, you've got it for life.

You can grab on the the right side of the waterfall in a lot of places. Just fyi.
I go to tournaments regularly and one of the best players in my country loves to go to wacky stages and play with some items on.
Most of the regulars there like that sort of stuff sometimes, just not in a tournament setting. We usually hang out a bit after we're done and play some 8 player FFAs with pokeballs, etc.
You're right that we're probably not going to play any custom stages in an actual tournament unless both players agree to it, but you can bet that we'll still have fun trying to make good competitive stages and play them in friendlies a lot.

Need a report or two more to confirm but maybe they did make it check the stage id before approving it online.

I think you can make a stage without having to upload it and still play it through arenas. Not too sure though.
I don't think so. I tried to set up a match that would warp between two random custom stages and I just ended up with Battlefield.
You can set up a match though that will randomly choose one of your custom stages.

I say "kinda" because Sonic at the very least got an additional Assist Trophy, a couple extra music tracks, and a decent few Spirit battles, however the things that really matter are really shitty. I wanna say I'm surprised there's no Sonic Forces or Mania stage, but we hardly got any new stages in general so I guess that's whatever. Sonic's moveset is still really dumb though, they couldn't even give him Boost as Side B or some easy shit like that.
