Reading through all 3 novels in order will take you somewhere between 30-50 hours in total. I'd say 20 hours minimum for the last novel, and about 5-10 for the first two novels.
If you want to get the full experience, you're welcome to do all the routes in extra (only Meiya and Sumika are mandatory, do the others only you end up liking one of the girls)
Unlimited is completely copy-paste up the ass, so pick Meiya default and enjoy it (stick around for Yuuko's ending, too), but if you want to pick another girl that's fine too.
The last game, Alternative is completely on the rails, so there's no real choices for you to make, just buckle up for the fucking storm.
