I'd have preferred Adventure Rebirth over Adventure, obviously. I feel like Rondo and SotN will make it to other platforms in the form of the recent collection based on Rondo being excluded here, but we'll see. If not, I'd have liked to have seen Rondo over Kid Dracula but I've also never played Kid Dracula so I'm kind of excited to.
Otherwise, great collection. I get why people want Chronicles but I think this is meant to be a primer on the series. Having multiple retellings is odd for a limited collection of games and leaving out the original is probably a riskier proposition.

I'm not sure is that last bit is really accurate seeing as Super 4 is just a retelling of 1. If they could have 4 then I can't see why they would need to skip Chronicles

But that's what I'm saying, we'd have CV, SCVIV AND Chronicles all covering the same story. I could see either SCVIV or Chronicles, but not both. As this is meant to be a classics collection, IV makes more sense to me to keep.

People complaining about no rondo I guess just forgot the other collection released last year has it and symphony. I don’t blame them cause it was a pretty small release but yeah.
The last collection was good but that version of symphony has the re-recorded dialogue from the psp port which is disappointing. At least Rondo is the original but I believe it also had the the psp remake dialogue.
The bummer of this port is Adventure rebirth is a fanatic game while the original I hear is hot trash so it’s a shame we didn’t get the remake or both.
I hope the NES game’s are their famicon counter parts for the better music tho.

Real question is, if they do make another compilation - it's somewhat unlikely they'd have the DS games, unless they made official no-touchscreen versions. In the case of no DS games, would the collection just be Rondo+SOTN+GBA, or do you guys think they would throw in some random shit like the N64 games too?

The PS4 version is an emulation of a PSP Castlevania collection - assuming I'm not misunderstanding you, I believe you could play it that way using a PSP/Vita. I think an untranslated version of Rondo was available on virtual console at some point, but I don't think you can get that anymore.

I don't remember the original Rondo being on PSP just the remake of Rondo which was Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles and it looked terrible

Vanilla Adventure instead of ReBirrth is fucking retarded but other than that it's a fine line-up and if you're mad that Konami is jewing you into buying another collection than just emulate them. The ROM collection has already been posted here and gets posted every other thread.
Honestly if they fix up Simon's Quest, localize Famicom Kid Dracula and let us switch between the JP and US versions for games like 3 I'll pick it up just because they seem to be actually giving a shit.
