it could have been better, but mediocre is disingenuous. it's stellar in some aspects but underwhelming in others. considering it's a niche genre that's unsurprising but it's a shame that with all the budget and time they had they didn't polish up some of the lackluster aspects like the samey level design.
still the things it does well it does better than just about anything. i find it hard to believe a whole lot extra could be added mechanically, except for new enemy types and a brush up for V if he comes back, so hopefully the next game will focus on everything else
