MechWarrior 5
They're finally bringing back a beloved classic, and actually doing it justice.
Where's all the hype?
Why is there no hype?
MechWarrior 5
I burdened my hype at the mechcommander reboot.
Zoomers dont understand it, boomers will fight each other to the death over which Mechwarrior is the best.
Battletech was garbage, sure, but it was a completely different dev.
Really? Battletech was so bad that it literally killed all hype for any mech game ever?
This thread is going to die with less than 10 replies?
Other than the initial news about MW5, this is the first thread I've seen about it in ages on Yea Forums.
It blows me away. Is Yea Forums really so full of pre-teens who don't even know what MechWarrior is?
wasn't it like revealed 3 years ago? nothing came up all this time aside from its in dev
No, plenty of people know about it, you can see BT stuff discussed in almost every mech thread that pops up on Yea Forums, which admittedly isn't all that often nowadays. It's just that the last game was that dev politics driven mess as far as the story goes. Personally, I prefer MechCommander 2 over the latest BT game.
And as far as MW games go, I really liked playing Living Legends back in the day when it was still new. How's it faring nowadays?
Badly.
MWO is in a much better state than it now, but still not the best either.
Can you actually blow up mechs now in MWO? Get their reactors to really fucking blow?
Some, yeah.
Supernova comes to mind.
Will it have melee?
No but it will have mod support.
DON'T DIE THREAD YOU DON'T DESERVE IT
I hope the game sells well so we can have a clan invasion expansion :c
It'll have ramming, but no punches/kicks.
Any nigs here know if they're incorporating some mech assault mechanics?
>piranha games
Why would you be hyped for a single player game from a bunch of incompetent retards like piggy? IF it ever comes out and IF it's a decent game, then people will care. Until then it's just shovel-ware verging on vaporware.
stackpole pls go
There are 0 mechassault mechanics
By that do you mean getting out of the mechs?
If so: yes.
It's coop as well.
battletech is fantastic, what the fuck are you smoking
>dynamic lego cancer
fuck no
t. overlyPoliticalFaggot
Microsoft should be burnt to the ground for letting PGI shit all over mechwarrior’s corpse.
Battletech is a bad game by itself and needs the roguetech mod to be somewhat fun. The game is not even optimized as well, it runs like absolute garbage.
What's so bad about PGI?
I keep hearing this, but I can't see it.
If all those years of suffering through the cancer that was MWO brings about a full singleplayer mechwarrior mercenaries kind of game I'll be so hyped.
Co op would be sick as shit too.
>Reactors dont go critical
>Super bad netcode and hitboxes
>hardpoints on clan mechs
>the godawful faction warfare mechanics
I hate those nu'mech designs. Give me back my aesthetic curvy Catapult and Raven. Honestly I hope the game turns out great and it gets an amazing mod scene to bring back the classic designs.
Also really hope it's not SJW cancer like that recent tactics game.
They have horrendously bad management.
>hating the only good thing to come out of MWO
>wahh you can choose "they" at character creation and it's never mentioned ever again in the entire game
fuck off, the GAMEPLAY, the bit that matters in a VIDEO GAME is great
literally works on my machine m8
That's legit what happened.
MW5 is a full story-telling single or coop game.
and qa, and design, and engineering, and cr
GOD I hate that weapon cancer
The time has come and so have I. I'd spam reaction images but I had to reformat and lost all mine.
But the hype is so fucking real. Between this news, mk11, and XIII getting a reboot I am in a fantastic mood today.
>Why is there no hype?
>Piranha Games
Why are you asking stupid fucking questions?
Piranha are incompetent as fuck and one of the most jewtastic devs on the planet.
Fuck them and fuck all the damage they've done to the Mechwarrior IP.
What weapon cancer?
The models are 1:1 ports from MWO, so expect to see a lot of this.
By the way this isn't even a custom design to emphasize the problem, this is how the mech looks by default.
name a better way to implement weapon modulartity between different types across all the different models of battlemechs with consistency.
Its goofy but at a glance I can tell what parts to prioritize. If I see 2 ppcs sticking out of an arm you best bet thats the first thing getting shot at.
I still don't get it?
