Gun feels like shit. Eiha is surprisingly good and Eigaon's great. Recovery even without Arsene is solid, and with Arsene it's 10/10. Counter feels a bit weaker than I would've liked, but maybe I'm just not using it right. Arsene lasts for longer than I expected.

Yeah, definitely. Increasing the intervals of when he could move by even just .25-.5s or so would go a long way, and sliiightly increase rate of fire. Feels like he fires faster if you mash the button rather than just hold it, though, so maybe that has something to do with it.

I like his tool set in general; his tilts, dash, u-air and side-B are great, down B is super useful and mastering it will be fun, but I can already see how several opponents will just want to camp against Arsene, which is a bummer.
His stage is fun, but a bit flawed with how hard it is to die in it.
Moveset-wise, I'm a bit disappointed that he doesn't summon multiple personas to do a variety of attacks like how they do in P4A.
And the music, while good, could have been way better if they went beyond the entry tier songs that pop up on youtube's suggestions, but having said that, fighting with the P3 and 4 battle themes is GOAT.
Overall, I'm happy with him, he doesn't have Mega Man's, Simon's or Ryu's level of love and representation, but he's slightly up there with Bayonetta and way above Pac-man and Cloud.

And I really want to stick with him to see where that leads.
But how the fuck do you use his gun effectively?

It's accurate thematically and inaccurate mechanically. I get what they're going for, personas were all summoned when the users were beaten into a corner in 5. They're going for something akin to what initially summoned his persona. Doesn't make a whole lot of sense though because once the persona is initially summoned, it's not like the tenseness of the situation continues to effect their ability to summon it in game.

Wish they came up with something more unique for his Arsene down special than a counter. Really enjoying him other wise, combo game feels pretty free form.

The head of Level-5 is buddies with Sakurai and has discussed in regards to Layton to him before. Plus their one of the few remaining notable Japanese third parties that don't have any content whatsoever yet. Even Koei Tecmo has at least that Fatal Frame chick as an Assist Trophy.

Joker fucking sucks. All of his moves have no range even with his persona. His nair takes a fucking year to start up. All his moves get outspaced or just outprioritized by every other move in the game. Very easy to just run under his side b. Literally all joker can do is play defensively and there are better characters for that. He loses hard to small characters because none of his moves have any fucking range. His only good move is back air and that barely has any range

I'm very upset at no Blooming Villain and I think that Our Beginnings is only there for the classic mode fight and that irks me. His mechanic for Arsene is kinda lame, and his Neutral B is clunky. I think his movement options are fun, his side special is neat, when Arsene is out he feels super meaty and impactful, and his fan service is pretty good save for the song choices. Overall like a 7.5 out of 10 for a release, but as a character like an 8.5.

He has a good recovery but has shit range and killability without the Rebel Gauge, which the opponent has a lot of control over. His speed and weight are also pretty fucking bad so he can't even combo as well as the top/high-tier characters. Joker is only a threat if Arsene is out, which again, your opponent has control over. A character that gives control on how they are used to your opponent is fucking stupid. He is mid-tier at best.

Busted as fuck. With Arsene out, if you block a fsmash, you lose. His next fsmash will come out faster than even grabs, and it breaks shield in two hits. All his players run around with thier free fucking character spamming smashes and projectiles until they grt their guarranteed win mode, then get up in your grill and basically cancel everything into anything.
