Have you?

Video games are a derivative art form in all but a very few cases.

>no u

Their fanbase everybody.

No. Basically every videogame is a ripoff of something else or it's completely retarded deviant art OC.

I almost forgot samurai were invented by Kobayashi

>white/black clothing was not just a cowboy thing
The more you know

1. Name one truly orignal, not inspired by anything, product of culture from the last 30 years. You literally cannot.
2. There's a difference between taking an inspiration and plagiarism.

>nu/v/ doesn't even know shit about vidya
Just by being interactive there is so much original stuff not present in other mediums.

This. With billions of people on earth, chances are most of your ideas have been in other people's minds before. What matters is how you well you execute them.

How you interface with media doesn't change if it's a ripoff of something or not. Are you some sort of retarded person?

>1. Name one truly orignal, not inspired by anything, product of culture from the last 30 years. You literally cannot.
Tetris
Pacman
Asteroid

>from the last 30 years
user...

I mean, the concept of mythological japan is pretty untouched in videogames. The only games that even touch upon Japanese mythology are Okami and (to a lesser extent) Nu-Tomb Raider. Keep in mind that the gameplay, design, and ideas from the outset are entirely different in each of those games.
There haven't even been that many movies about mythological Japan to be honest.
But who am I kidding, you're a retarded troll. According to your logic, there literally isn't a single videogame in existence that is original. Nintendo didn't create the concept of plumbers, so I guess Mario Bros is unimaginative. Oh, you think Hollow Knight is cool? Guess again faggot, bugs exist in real life so the game is unoriginal.

Arbitrary date requirement, originality is originality and those games were entirely original concepts.

Japan in general has never had an original idea, they just rip each other off because the concept of "creativity" overrides any sort of copyright, unlike the west which is currently creatively bankrupt and can't make shit worth shit

what did tetris or alien invader rip off?
is terraria just a rip off of terrarium?
is there a pubg book its based off somewhere?
or dota movie?
those are just the most popular examples
the fact that sekiro has samurais doesnt mean its a ripoff of mid-20th jap cinema.
its like saying gtav is a rip off of home alone because they are both set in america.

Asteroid inspired by Star Wars, Tetris inspired by block puzzles, Pac Man literally inspired by trace puzzles and eating pizza lol

>Asteroid inspired by Star Wars, Tetris inspired by block puzzles, Pac Man literally inspired by trace puzzles
10/10 bait here is your reply

Here lol
PUBG rip off of battle Royale book lol

>is there a pubg book its based off somewhere?
Yes, actually, there was a Battle Royale novel in 1999 that was turned into a movie in 2000 which was turned into the first Arma mod.

These are all true. These were the I spiratio a for these games. Pac Man's shape was based off of "a pizza" and trace puzzles according to Iwatani himself. You need to get your facts checked before you make retarded claims.

and music is inspired by air vibrations coming from nature which doesnt mean that braps coming out of my ass are music
though today they could as well be

That is false equivalence. Again please.

>what did tetris or alien invader rip off?
Ancient block puzzles and war of the worlds.
>is terraria just a rip off of terrarium?
Terraria is a 2D rip off of Minecraft, which was a rip off of Infiniminer, which was a rip off of LEGO, which was a rip off of Kiddicraft, which was a rip off of some dude in the iron age who ripped off someone in the neolithic era that was stacking rocks for shits and giggles.
>is there a pubg book its based off somewhere?
There is literally movies and books that the entire Battle Royale genre were based on and inspired by you retard.
>or dota movie?
Based on Warcraft, which ripped off Warhammer, which ripped of Tolkien, which ripped off thousands of years of folklore.

>is there a pubg book its based off somewhere?
No it was an asian movie they ripped off.

Seriously, From? Giant robots? Gundam already did this shit 40 years ago.

Fucking kek, just no, not at fucking all. Go educate yourself moron.

He's not saying if it is ripping off media you fucking mongoloid. He's saying it presents a whole new opportunity to create new art.

yeah but gundam games sucks

>is there a pubg book its based off somewhere?
Actually yes, Battle Royale, I don't think it was even a first game of it's kind.
>or dota movie?
Assfaggots are derivative from RTS games with hero units.
>the fact that sekiro has samurais doesnt mean its a ripoff of mid-20th jap cinema.
Sekiro takes inspirations from a lot of stuff, just like their other games. There's nothing wrong with that, as none of these were insultingly blatant. Arguing it's 100% original never tried before is retarded though. Nowadays nothing is.

...

>no no u
OP everybody.

Harakiri is a great movie.

Yes, that one game about being undying and everything around you going to shit

Who are you talking to? Your discord tranny buddies are ----> that way.
