When Yahtzee was big, people flocked to him because he was a snarky bugger who took a shit on most games. If he suddenly became really positive, his primary viewership would turn off.

I've liked a few of his videos explaining the sort of back stories of various events in Fallout.

EA, despite being listed as one of the most evil corporations several years in a row is still one of the most profitable assholes in gaming in existence. That's all the investors care about.

People shit on indie developers for being boring 2D metroidvania clones (fair enough to a degree) but at least in their early days, they're mostly beholden to their investors which are specifically gamers that supported them through kickstarter and shit like that.

The game honestly does go out of it's way to guide you into that thinking though. The ONE pro-brotherhood party-member in the whole game ends up in a unavoidable faction quest that feels like it's designed to make you hate the brotherhood. In the end you are forced to kill the person who inspired you to join the brotherhood, or have to disobey the brotherhood. Every other companion ether has nothing to say about the brotherhood, or just has snarky comments to drop about them whenever they get the chance. Really feels like Bethesda crammed the game with anti-brotherhood bias.
