>everyone finishes it
>thread frequency dies down

fad of the week + no multiplayer

There are still plenty of threads every fucking day. retard.

Attached: Labo-Wojak.jpg (1200x1099, 115K)

I still did until yesterday, but today Joker is out so....

>everyone finishes it

Tips for final boss? Hit a wall and then went back to my strategy games.

>i'll beat it I swear

really doesnt look all that interesting to me compared to other fromsoft games. wont bother buying until its 30 bucks or less

was the endless sekiro general that fags kept calling a help thread not enough

broken game

Attached: teleport_ogre.jpg (770x549, 34K)

The world and story was lacklustre. Everyone talks about the challenge but unlike other souls game that is literally all there is to it.

Not as bad as the ape jumping grab. NG+3 it's an instant kill and he'll always do it at least once.

>FROM game comes out
>gets a lot of threads
>everyone finishes it for the first time
>many continue to play
>thread frequency just lowers a bit

what went wrong?

It was another flavor of the month, but at the speed shit moves now, it's more flavor of the week

I'm still stuck on the bridge corrupted monk.

Attached: 1543181726348.png (645x773, 11K)

Go fight Owl (father). Corrupted Monk feels like babby mode afterwards.

You can stealth two of the three healthbars. The last bar is easy with ash / snap abuse.

You gotta adjust you're internal clock dude, it's been very nearly a month already.

>be
>do exactly this
>get walled by demon of hatred
>go back to playing aoe2 & 3 1v1s

are you me?

>Extremely short after first playthrough
>World is small
>No incentive to play again except going for other endings or challenge
>No build variety
>Boring aesthetic

I fought him about 60 times today. There were attempts where he did the jump grab 3 times in a row. Then I read that you, for some fucking reason, can dodge it by going under his left arm. Beat him on the second try after that.

I'm loving this game so far but this fight had some head scratchers. Like how the second phase is just 5 minutes of getting him until a loop where he does the overhead slash so you can take off 1/10 of his health and repeat

Take your time and learn to deflect her attacks, dodging them is very hard. You get an opportunity to attack after a mikiri or a sweep, otherwise don't attack her. Living Force can be effective.

>get walled by an optional boss
?

Just run towards him on a jump grab, don't run away. The same works for the doodoo throw.

Firecrackers are extremely effective against her.

This game doesn't offer much combat variety unlike the soulsborne games. It feels like the only correct way to play this game is to git gud with parry or you will have frustrating experience.

Also very weak to Mortal Blade.

Because most people here either suck so much they dropped it or are switchfags so never played it

Because those who got gud already finished it and those bitching about it being too hard already cheated to finish it, i hope both parties at the end of the day realised it wasn't such a good game after all.

Attached: 1555220983444.jpg (249x252, 5K)

you can stealth kill her first 2 phases from the farthest top branch on the left, third phase just use firecrackers/pocket ash hit two times and repeat until she dies

Don't attack him unless there's a very clear opening for an attack. Don't dodge attacks - learn to deflect.

If he sheaths his sword, he is going to do a small attack and a sweep (so you need to deflect and then jump on his head, and maybe even attack once).

When he does Ichimonji, deflect at least one of them and he's going to do a huge attack, that you can dodge easily by running (not dodging, running) to his right, then you have a huge opening to attack or even use prosthetics.

If he sheathed his sword and he isn't looking at you - he is going to do a giant sweep around him, you can't jump it - just run away.

Try to do lightning reversals as much as possible during the last phase.

>you cant jump it
you can. you just have to jump off of him. but you can also just parry it instead.

everyone who played is currently getting evaluated for tinnitus

You can cheese the entire fight by spamming ash
From are terrible at AI programming

anyone who complains about Chained Ogre seriously needs to neck themselves. My fucking wife beat this faggot on her third try.

>>Boring aesthetic
kys

the mountain temple areas are fucking beautiful

I never got the timing right, so I just ran away like a bitch every time. The jump doesn't deal bonus posture damage tho, right? Since it's not a perilous attack.

just beat sword saint and demon of hatred today. i think demon was a little bit harder but i liked how it felt like a bloodborne/souls boss. didn't deflect a single thing in that fight. trying to get platinum now so have to play through the game at least a couple more times. still love it 10/10

Attached: B4D3D672-D71C-40BC-8D0B-024BADDE4E2B.jpg (1920x1080, 430K)

i found that's easier to dodge his first ichi and then move two his back, the as he does the second one i can hit him with double ichi

it doesnt but it does leave you directly beside him while hes recovering from the swing so you can hit him/ichimonji/flame barrel/whatever.

>emma mod
psssh

Attached: 4d1cc166204edf46e8203c57b897d944.jpg (896x884, 372K)

the only hard thing about demon of hatred is how much hp it has, NG+ and NG+2 i just did horse skip on him

Fountainhead and Senpou are alright. But you spend more than half of the time in Ashina Castle, Ashina Castle (Dusk) and Ashina Castle (On Fire). The rest is also not really good.

cause it was a dogshit game

yeah i don't think i would want to fight him again. it was so fucking exhausting.

I liked the mythical Japanese aesthetic, but the sparse environments sometimes feel lacking compared to the detail rich BB/DaS III levels. Sort of tradeoffs you make when you swap from a claustrophobic, dungeons/city corridors to open, outdoors environments.

How do you get to that one building nestled in this corner of the flower viewing area? Can't find a hook spot and all bridges are broken.

Attached: fugg.jpg (1920x1080, 424K)

you have sex

I can't bring myself to fight SSI. I have done everything in the game, and only have a few more skills to either farm out or replay to acquire, but its all so tiring.

The details are there, you just need to look harder

>game needs to be talked about for eternity
Why? The game came out and had its moment. If someone saw fit to create threads for more discussion after the fact, then so be it. Otherwise, who the fuck cares? You don't see 70sfag begging for threads about Pong, do you?

top left of the water fall behind the building you're on has a grappling spot. its hard to miss.

>some fights are tiring
This, if there werent loading screens.and cg to skip for thr tougher foghtse it wouldn't be as bad

youtube.com/watch?v=2mOUVpwQW9c

It was though, and it doesn't stop being a good game because it doesn't have a shitload of weapons that are either useless or just slight variations with a slightly different R1 timing. Played it back to back twice which is more than I can say about GoW and will play it again later on, especially if it gets DLC

I beat Lady Butterfly and all the mini-bosses in Hirata, where the fuck am I supposed to go now?

I beat the Chained Ogre and the mini-boss after it, and now it feels like I just hit a brick wall

After the Samurai General jumo below the broken bridge. There will be a visibld idol on the left. Keep following that path

Some eavesdropping told me Gyoubou is on the other side of a wall I can drop down into. About to go in for the first time. Any tips?

It's better this way

wow nigga you dumb.

nobody asked you nigger.

You just asked anybody dumbass

Firecrackers
Be ready to grapple to him when the prompt appears

Let him come to you
Unless you see the grappling hook icon over his head
then you grapple to him and hit him a bunch

Jesus christ, user

easiest boss in the game. you'll be right.

She's cleric beast or asylum demon tier, user.

less replayability, no multiplayer, no autistic tryhards

THE IS A FUCKING NUN WHICH DUMB AMERICAN PIECE OF SHIT CAME UP WITH THE IDEA TO CALL A NUN A MONK REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

It's not fair bros

Attached: sekiro 2019-04-18 01-46-25-25.png (974x919, 1.1M)

Nuns are Catholic. Lmao

because its nothing special among the sea of other games. It doesn't have the mysteries of dark souls to back it up, it didn't provide people with self expression through gameplay or build variety.
Basically its a game instead of an experience some people will take with them. That doesn't say anything about the quality of game as for instance some people get the same effect out of STALKER. At the end of the day you play it but it doesn't change you, its good but it doesn't connect.

Monks are male. Lmao

It was the last game I wanted to play in the first part of 2019. Now that I'm done with it I don't even want to touch video games. I'm seriously over it. Sekiro was such a "thank god I'm done playing this" kind of game that I don't have any desire to do anything else anymore.

Good game, but posture isn't that fun to play with. I'll replay Demon's Souls, Bloodborne, and Dark Souls 3 any day of the week. But probably not Sekiro.

Attached: 1520071566128.jpg (400x450, 93K)

Also correct, now propose a better name keepeing in mind Catholicism is not japanese in any way

See

no replayability except for weird autistic "challenge" runs

at least souls games had build variety for replayability, but this game has nothing except for speedruns

When I plat a Souls game, there’s still a bunch of different shit to do, different things to try. When I play sekiro, a single player action game, that’s it. It’s boring. Not use to a fromsoft game having being this small. Good game but I hope they don’t continue with single player shit. Sucks honestly

When I platinum*

>no build
>no real items
>no exploring it's linear as it gets
>5 bosses
>every mini boss is a rehash
>2 button gameplay

I got all achievements but the game is just dull. Feels like it was made more for speed runners.

Attached: 1539825888339.png (645x773, 11K)

I beat it 2 days ago and am currently doing a NG+ run to get a different ending and to get some stuff I missed
it's kind of amazing how small the game is, I'm already back up to Mibu village and didn't have much trouble with anything, though i fully expect Isshin to kick my ass again at the end

>Sekiro
>Linear
lmao what

it's not DaS3 level linear but it's worse than Dark Souls 1 or 2.

Because it's a singleplayer game with fuckall content?

It's not the newest shiniest thing out there any more.
Now we enter the part where the more realistic assesments of its quality will start to bubble up. Also the part where I decide what kind of price drop I'll wait for before buying it myself.

already uninstalled sekiro. doubt i'll ever finish it. it's cool but i'd say it's about as good as your average joe AAA god of war 3 or something like that, definitely a weaker Fromsoft entry, BUT i hate weebs and have little to no interest in muh japan aesthetic so maybe it's just not for me.

now dark souls, that's a fucking game right there. enough different builds/items to replay it 100 times and not get bored, always something new and weird to see, a dedicated online community this many years later. do you think sekiro is going to stick in people's minds in the same way? of course not.

Attached: 1555059345412.jpg (750x747, 67K)

No multiplayer, no builds, no coop. Most will only play it once. Game is already dead

Attached: main-qimg-c593add38092316afef6b90866c915ac.png (602x781, 776K)

It's not linear, the issue is more that it doesn't matter what order you do things in. There is nothing special you can pick up anywhere that makes a difference if you have it at a point where you normally don't have it etc. because this game has no useful items or any weapons/equipment.

>a dedicated online community this many years later
DaS is fucking dead mate. Invasions are scarce as fuck, and most of the invaders are just bonfire dueling faggots. Not to mention, DaSR's invasion spawn points are atrocious and killed the online.

Attached: 1555565351026.png (563x540, 140K)

pretty alive on switch.

DS3's world design is linear with interwoven, non-linear level design such as the Settlement, whereas DS2 is a wheel where you start at the center and pick what spoke of a N64 hallway you go down.

Guys, any tips for Genichiro Ashina and Way of the Tomoe? I've done all the stuff I can do before fighting him, but I still can't find what the "trick" to his fight is. Am I missing something or do I just have to git gud?

Barring the switch (because I don't have one), it's dead on every other platform. The only souls game that's alive is DaS3. Sucks man.

Attached: maria_cry.png (281x342, 117K)

2 is dead too unfortunately, the final version of 2 had the best PvP in the series with so much fucking stuff you can mix up. I had at least 100 builds in that game. Only 3 is alive now. Sniping people with a greatbow while using the ring that makes you invisible from a distance was pretty fun though.

i got invaded plenty on my playthrough a couple months ago on steam

>fight a boss that is at least two or three times as hard
>it will feel easy in comparison

no shit, sherlock

Jump when you see flashes of lightning and prss the attack button before you land. His way of Tomoe phase is the easiest of them all.

Either you are not facing him properly in his first two phases by parrying him, so you don't know his moves, or you're just too scared.

I see your shitty game everyday on this god forsaken board, what the fuck are you talking about? Fucking idiot.

>DaS2 hater thinks shitiro and DaS3 are good

Attached: 1542091542635.jpg (414x372, 33K)

Do people have issues with his grab?
Low grab you jump. His jump grab you backstep once and it wont hit.

2 has either the same amount or more non-linear levels as 3 though.

based frog retard

>Owl Father
>hard
I still dont understand how people have hard time with him.
He less aggressive than Owl 1 and phase 2 is easiest version of Owl.

>single player no builds game
>still daily threads
dont cry soulsfag we have better game then your roll simulator kek

It's a miracle the discussions event went on for as long as they did. There is really not that much to say about the game and it has nothing to it that makes people come back. The journo articles whining about it pretty much dragged it on, I guess

good individual level design >>>> multiple, dimensionless hallways

Attached: Au.jpg (1280x1080, 290K)

Been really busy and havent gotten around to installing the cracked 1.02 version yet. What version is the game up to now/have there been any major updates since?

And Corrupted Monk might be easier than Gyobu. Seriously, I don't know how anyone has throuble with that fight

Gyobu posture fill up quick so you can finish him off even without learning his moveset.
Corrupted monk is endurance fight.

I'm so fucking angry how they had the gall to split the online base with that shitty demaster with its shitty spawn points.

Attached: 1432434642880.jpg (500x417, 274K)

At least in Sekiro you get different dialog depending on in what order you do things. In DS1 or 2 nothing happens.

how is it an endurance fight when you can just hit her from the back while she paragraphs every action for like half a minute?

what dialogue changes?

>no shitty drawn out story of muh-cycles
>no pvp autism
>no pve autism
It's just a sweet snacc of a game. Why draw it out.

if you have done everything you should have 9 gourds and like 5 prayer necklaces, it should be a joke
i did a lot of stuff before fighting him too and he died second try

grab mikiri and high monk dunk

no replayability
I platined it recently, won't talk about it until they shit out a DLC

>it's not DaS3 level linear
True, but Sekiro forces you to do all areas before you can reach Fountainhead, no sequence breaking, whereas DS3 gives a bit more freedom, for example, you can do dlc early when you reach the cathedral of the deep or do it at the end of the game.
DS3 doesn't have DS1 and 2 levels of sequence breaking and non linear progression, but it's better than Sekiro.

>paragraphs

Also, Sekiro's progression reminds me of Demon's souls where you had to do all levels before finishing the game.

most got causal filtered
I mean look at the steam achievement stats

Reminder if it took you more than 3 tries to beat SS Isshin you're trash worse than DSP, THATS
FUCKING DARKSYDEPHIL.

overhyped mediocre game with almost no replayability besides for a few autists, no online elements also.

I unironically think it needed harder bosses

fotm shit

I thought people were able to appreciate good old action games that didn't have 'builds' or 'multiplayer' before. When did it come to all these people being whiny motherfuckers? I thought forced multiplayer was a bad thing.

When he jumps towards you you have to step backwards or jump retard

I literally had much more trouble with the first corrupted monk because their posture recovered so quickly and they blocked so much vitality damage you tried to inflict. the bridge one was a cakewalk because I had already learned all their patterns

Why do people always make threads where they lie and claim that games that are still talked about constantly, are somehow forgotten, dead, or never talked about anymore?

>Don't attack him unless there's a clear opening

??? keeping up a relentless assault and switching to deflecting when he deflects an attack sets you up for a really easy pattern and an extremely quick phase 1. Phase 2 you need to be a bit more careful but still aggression is key during SS Isshin. Hesitation is defeat.

>If he sheathed his sword and he isn't looking at you - he is going to do a giant sweep around him, you can't jump it - just run away.
Or use the umbrella. Lets you get a hit in immediately afterwards, too.

Attached: tool+loaded+umbrella-min.png (500x359, 46K)

I am pretty sure that the Corrupted Monk is by far the slowest boss in the game.
How come so many people voice concerns over the boss?

I am curious, how do you guys play?

I got the the Mortal Sword and killed all the bosses in the mist area except for headless, keep getting my ass kicked. Is there somewhere else I'm supposed to go? Also are firecrackers that important? I must have missed them I just use the spear
