Just got to Guardian Ape, tried a few times but I'm taking a break so I don't burn out since I've playing for like 8 hours now.

You just need to be aggressive to prevent his poise from dropping.
Keep up the attacks and if you swing and he doesn’t attack, wait for his sword to go back to his side (about a second). This allows you to attack again without being deflected.
This technique works on all forms.

Any tips for Guardian Ape?

They're all the same, you die 4 times to the boss, you learn the patterns and kill him, repeat for every boss. In Sekiro you just press l1 instead of rolling.

Saint was fucking easy, beat him in 10 tries. After you learn how to play the game (around genichiro/LB) none of the humanoid bosses should take more than 10 tries (I’m on ng+ at corrupted monk and haven’t died yet in this run). Just spend your first two tries doing nothing but defending, then once you have his pattern down just weave in slashes. The only thing different about isshin is he sometimes staggers his attacks—just don’t be a retard and confirm you’re safe before attacking.

Go behind him during mortal slash and rape him in sub 30.

Push him to his limits, keep hitting and play carefully on deflects
>Phase 2
Keep on him but when you hit him, don't go insane, 1 slash on openings and then a firecracker to get more hits in, and just keep a decent pace to make sure posture never drops too low on him. Oh and maybe get out of the way during his charge attacks..
>Phase 3
Keep it up, use the rest of your firecrackers if you need them at all during the fight. Play safer and he'll eventually just use the lightning move, reflect it back to the old retard and get your free phase.

If you can't seem to get him that well, play very safely on phase 1 and wait for him to throw a temper tantrum on the ground for a few free hits. Pine Resin Flame Barrel works really well here, and it gives a fuckload of hits since he recoils when you use it. Around halfway through his 1st hp bar you'll notice him stand up straighter while moving toward you, that's a sign to run backwards away from him since he's going to do the lunge grab, and when he whiffs it that's even more free hits.

2nd phase is way easier, if he slides towards you from a distance, you fucking jump over him and get free hits. If he jumps 100000 feet into the air, you jump when he lands and get free hits. If he does his combo and you trigger him doing the huge overhead and deflect it, more free hits when he falls over due to it. The only move you want to run from is the scream, unless you want to use the umbrella to block it completely which should give you a few free hits when it ends. You can also use the spear to pull the centipede from his head, but it's not too hard of a fight so mainly do it if you have leftovers from phase 1.

Been having gameplay issues since the first week. Activisions help agents have been useless and their “higher tech” for pc problems are taking their sweet fucking time getting back to me.

Or you could just aim for his vitality. He leaves himself open quite often.

How do I beat corrupted monk? I do zero damage to him and I can never get his posture meter to reach full cause it drops down so fast.

Cheese phase 1 by setting him on fire and getting in a bunch of free hits
Phase 2 plays more like a normal guy sword fight, deflect the chains and dodge the big ones to punish

Why do people want Sekiro to have an easy mode when by default you start with Kuro’s charm?

maybe use your brain and eyes and ears and think about what it is that's causing you to do no damage

no zoomer posseses the ability to play through a game with minor obstacles

fire works and one two hits will get his posture up there. the best thing you can do is parry all his swirl moves.
I don't know how people have trouble with him I beat him first go. just don't back off and let his posture go down.

She stop regain posture after half health bar.
Continue fighting until you learn her moveset and finish her off.
Or you can chesse her with snap seed, fistful of ash, firecracker setup.

I struggled with him for hours.
Trick is to use the high monk kick when he does side slash and mikiri when he thrusts + parry obviously. Don't panic and play slower and more methodically than you would in souls or bb.

The posture mechanics don't click for a lot of people for a long time.

Yeah gave up on finding any replayability after getting platinum. Seriously there is no reason to ever play this game again ever.
Guess Imma reinstall Nioh and maybe finish it this time until I am sick of japan
