Why do most developers tend to focus more on graphical fidelity, rather than frame rate?
Why do most developers tend to focus more on graphical fidelity, rather than frame rate?
publishers that want the game to sell want prettier pictures to shill with
cause your modern kids only want graphics and not smooth silky gameplay
Because most people are retarded and only care about how pretty it is, not how well it plays.
cinematic is usually only 24fps you should be grateful for the extra 6fps you entitled baby now buy my next movie game and don't you fucking dare think about having fun
My roomate tries to make fun of me pc gaming at 1440p then i walk out and watch his xbox at 4k chugging along at 25fps and its hilarious
Many people don't even notice. I was over at my parents' earlier today and they were watching a TV show where the framerate kept switching between 30 and 60fps depending on which camera angle was being shown, I was actually getting nauseated. Neither of them saw what I was talking about.
I'm pro 60 minimum FPS but this gif is retarded because 30 can look smooth if done right. Quake is a game that's made specifically for 120 fps or higher.
cause no one but autists care about MUH SHOOTY JUMPY FAST FAST ADD AND SODA TEEVEE MOMMY TEEVEE MCDONALDS MCDONALDS style games
Except fps is typically a matter of how images are displayed not what an image looks like or how it fits on a display. Also the xbox juan is no where near as powerful as a mosk desktops with gaming in mind are. So im not sure what you are getting at
i think its harder to notice on a tv farther away than a monitor up close
This is a retarded comparison. So long as your monitor can do 100fps, you're good. I had a 28 inch that could do...I think 155, but what good was it really? Now I have 3, 38 inch that do 100 fps so I can use my flight simulator and it's much fucking better.
I've felt nauseated as well and adapted in less than a week. You didnt explain well and i absolutely understand why
I too am enlightened by my superior intelligence :^)
How do you adapt to snap cuts between 30 and 60fps? Imagine watching the OP webm for half an hour straight. It's one thing to deal wtih frame dips or just dealing with lower framerate content in general, but those constant transitions just get to me.
You wouldn't even notice this if you had a premium gsync monitor like me.
And trent reznor designed the music. I just learned this. Can you cite your source? Because i can.
I aint gotta imagine jackshit i could still notice the difference between a 4k display and other displays. But the nausea was gone. A great example in your situation with folks is to have people visualize how a day time soap opera views and then consider the similarities in their 4k display and how that could make someone at least uncomfortable
Console peasants literally don't know what high FPS looks like.
That 25 fps sucks major dick
Its motion sickness quite simply. Some people can overcome, some cant. Nothing to do with willpower.
Thats your opinion, and although i share it, i wasnt a complete asslike you and allegedly your friend.
This but unironically.
what game is this anyway?
Shootmania, cool game but has died long ago.
Christ you're a bit late to this topic, maybe next time just ask google. The answer is advertising, dipshit. TV isn't at 60fps, youtube has only recently had 60fps as a common option, and screenshots are still images. If the average fifatard gave half a shit about framerate, it could overtake advertising as a concern, but they don't.
Because graphics also have an effect on the experience.
Uncharted 4 is 30 fps in single player and 60 fps in multiplayer for a good reason. Same with Splatoon 2 which is 30 fps in the hub and 60 in actual gameplay.
Personally, I think 30 fps is fine in slower third person games like Uncharted, HZD and XC2 but absolutely atrocious in first person games (which is probably widely accepted since many FPSes aim for 60 fps.
garbage ass shootmania
30 fps looks good on a CRT
Aint gotta explain shit
Some console peasant saw me run a game at 144hz and complained that it felt "too fluid and artificial-looking"
This is literally how retarded normies think
