Almost like the story of it being launched quietly and blowing up organically was bullshit.
Yeah they paid off top streamers, who all abandoned the game once the contract was up.
If they would've released the patch 3 weeks earlier they might have saved a bit more of the momentum. There's really no saving such a manufactured full force marketing campaign like that from falling in to some sort of balance. I've NEVER seen anything like that and it may be the first of it's kind.
>Have the best BR game
>It launches for free "out of no where"
>Behind the scenes and in plain sight they were just dumping millions in to streamers to market it
>After the terms went up most of them went back to their other games or had a fuck ton of critiques because it wasn't being patched
Not to act like the game is dead or not enjoyable, but they did botch the shit out of that launch and the most important weeks following. The game leveled (or is leveling) out to it's realistic level once all the artificial hype ran out.
i don't get it. he's not even talking about women
I really like Apex because of how fast you can get into games. I absolutely hate waiting in a lobby for 1-2 minutes like in PUBG or Firestorm, because I'm so shit that I usually die in a few minutes and thus end up waiting more than actually playing.
Are there any other BR games that just start really fast?
I play apex from time to time, I would get more into it if they had crossplay.
It's nice to get rewarded for leveling up qt least, EA could have done a lot worse on that.
Zoomer attention span.
Was that ever the "story" though? It's not like they were being sneaky about it, all the top streamers were up front about the sponsorships as far as I'm aware.
