How do I get good at it?
How do I get good at it?
Play the superior Contra series.
just put in a bunch of coins like 30
don't get hit
Play is a shitton.
Jump bounce on enemies that allow it.
Never die.
Knife kills give the most points.
Never die.
Always beat a stave in a slug.
Never die.
Take your time.
Never die.
Bring extra quarters
Don't die.
Practice invincibility frames with slugs.
Play 1 and X. There're not that bad to 1cc.
This is the key
The game doesn't tell you about it but it's the trick to 1cc: jumping in and out of a slug
You need a lot of nickels.
Slide, it can save your life when getting bombarded on a bossfight.
literally pay to win bro
Die less
This.
the whole point of the game is to die shit loads because it wants your money
Apparsntly you shoot, shoot, dodge. The devs says its based around periods of shooting then dodging.
Ill let you know when I find out myself, one day.
Use savestates or level select to memorize and practice the levels until you can do them without getting hit consistently, then do full runs to put everything youve learned together
Reminder that the developers once left the prototype cabinet for metal slug running overnight. The game caused the hardware to overheat and burst into flames.
You know those commercials where the thing explodes? Metal slug did that literally.
No thats just what happens when youre bad, the idea is to get better and get more playtime per coin and bigger puntos on the leaderboards
Boy, that is only possible in 5
Well, it was still somehow running on AES hardware really late into the system's life. Like, 8 years after it should have been discontinued. I think that was also the first playmore MS.
Do you think SNK would be around today if they had switched to Naomi hardware around 2000-2001?
Play it in 3D
The general routine for a 1cc goes like this:
1) Play the whole game through a bunch of times with credit feeding until you feel familiar with it.
2) Start breaking the game down into smaller parts to practice. Use any stage select modes or make basic save states (if using MAME) at level starts and bosses.
3) Note where you have the most difficulty and practice those individual parts until you don't have trouble.
4) Once you're confident and can play through the sections you practice with minimal mistakes, start trying to put it all together and do full runs.
If you are dedicated and practice like this every day, then the 1cc will eventually come.
That work in most games except 3.
Shit is RNG galore that even TAS have issues in doing good clears.
