Still the Turok 2 Remaster on steam is glorious as fuck. I mean I was blown away to play the game at unlimited fps with draw distance and decent controls and rediscover that it's better than many new FPS. Jesus hold my beer, it's fucking great. Graphics, music, animation, exploration, sense of dread, metroidvania levels with kickass gory weapons and imaginative enemies. Fuck Hive of the Mantis and Lair of the Blind Ones tho.

I love evolution. The 'city saga' is my favorite. It ends with a whole city falling into a deep canyon. You even get the nuke Rifle during that saga.

I enjoyed it, but it has annoying flaws and bugs. If you find a cool weapon on one level, and that weapon is not on the next level, you can't use it on the next level.
It was the GameCube version I had. Not sure if other people experienced that.

Same here. It's still the best comic series imo. The Acclaim and Dark Horse series were both meh and the Dynamite one was complete shit. Shame it never got reprinted and the only 2 ways to read it are online or hunt down each individual issue.

It was a generic piece of shit that had no right to bear the name Turok. It lacked such an identity that it killed the fucking franchise it was so bland and forgettable.

After playing both 1 and 2 again recently, I stopped thinking 2 was better in every way. 1 has such better level design it isn't even funny. As much as I love 2, traversing the later levels is a complete chore. I now think they're both pretty equal that do different things better and worse than the other.
