It was decided that getting as much completely free shield pressure as you did was unbalanced and created a bad metagame. They're 100% correct - I see projectiles similarly to a High in Tekken. It should only hit you if you're in the middle of attacking or moving, a counterhit thing. If you're paying attention and actually try to stuff a projectile, it shouldn't hurt you.

After playing around with Joker a bit, I think hes a bit too strong in Persona mode. All of his tilts hit like smashes.

I'm going to be honest, it won't be. Mewtwo's biggest problem in Ultimate is his disadvantage state due to his hurtbox and single airdodge. A weight buff won't fix that.

Mac's ground game isn't even that good. Everything he has is unsafe on block, his grabs aren't threatening, all he has is really good frame data on his smashes but those don't even have good hitboxes like a swordie. His specials aren't very good either, just sort of "usable".

He doesn't really need good aerials that badly, he just needs to be actually good at what he's supposed to be good at. It's not like Ryu and Ken have amazing aerials, but their aerials help synergize with their basic game plan and link into some pretty good stuff, their specials are all fantastic, and their special movement style gives them a good way to attack while spacing the way aerials normally do. That's why they're better than Mac and why they feel like actual rewarding characters even if they aren't top-tier. Mac's just all over the place in comparison. You can even compare their OP OHKO moves - Shoryuken is 100000x more usable than Star Punch, because you can hit it in more situations despite it having technically less power.

Its a shitty buff imo.

His recovery outright got worse compared to 4. Recoveries in Smash are like oki in other fighting games. Imagine that Mac went from having shitty 50/50 oki (where others have like 33/33/33 or even 4x25 oki) to having 60/30/10 oki that gets dropped to 95/5 oki if he gets gimped (where even gimping other characters only usually puts them at 50/50). Essentially, he gained a minor mixup option that he can sometimes use but can easily be covered and punished, and he lost the ability to recover at all if anything even touches him when he's offstage.
