i still can't get over how ea managed to fuck up 4 so bad. you have a built in a audience of millions who gladly fork over money for expansions and you still make it so bad that these people walk away.

at its worse it still looks better than this

3, but 4 is the one advertised here all the time.

God, they all had babyfaces in 3. That's really what turned me off of it.

I like 4 and 2 because it's more cartoony and appealing. 3 makes everyone look like a fucking goblin

4 is perfectly fine if you just need an incest porn simulator.

Love 3 but it is kill by performance issues

Sims 4 is decent for porn but of course you might as well just play honey select

Vanilla Sims 3 is pretty good though, town features and create a style really put it up there for me

>watch as public safety declines as I build more affordable housing developments

3 is a broken mess and the Sims look like Play-doh, but the sheer chaos caused by the jank story progression system spontaneously deciding the hobo in the alley is now a fairy and dating your boss was hilarious. 4 is much more stable but also more boring and the microtransactions have truly hit no fucks given levels by (((EA))).

What the other guy said - the mood system but also how various people can do different things and still be in 'conversation' state - one person sits, other one stands, one is preparing food and they are all talking.

They fucked with the defaults, and the low/rare settings aren't low enough so you should go through and turn all autonomy off. Unless you're into it then you might as well crank it up

Same. I don't mind the loadscreens when travellign from building to building but that should've enabled them to make even larger towns than sims 3, not smaller

until you remember what a fucking unoptimized piece of shit 3 was, to the point it still struggles to stably run even on current PCs and still has memory leaks and bloated "temp" files that fail to delete, making it unplayable after a couple months.

the only good way for the series to go is to integrate it with sim city like features in a larger town
maybe with gameplay resembling The Guild series
