I accept that japan can has fucked up many times, and horribly so, with many of my beloved franchises (silent hill, metal gear), but even then you always have better odds in the east, and sometimes you can even witness literal miracles of redemption arcs (dmc5, REmake2)
Meanwhile i have found that great western franchises just get worse and worse until they just fucking die (mass effect, dragon age, wolfenstein, prince of persia)
