They are pretty much the same, except Wario shtick is rushing haphazardly towards his goals and succeeding while Dedede always comes in second despite trying his hardest. Wario is what you wish you could accomplish while Dedede is how mediocre you truly are.

Wario is just under 6’ tall, while Dedede is just above 8”, which makes Wario about 6 times Dedede’s size.

I don’t agree with it at all to be frank, it makes more sense for him to be around 2 feet really, but you can’t say that Sakurai said it and then Kirby’s height is never mentioned again

Death battle is terrible.

Wario should have put against Scrooge.
Think about it, it makes perfect sense. Both are (or were) treasure hunters and both are filthy rich. But while Scrooge makes his money square, Wario steals all he can and floods market with rubbish products. And while Wario lives lawishly and flaunts his money, Scrooge is stingy beyond comparison. They are similar but different.
The way their death battle could have played out is with Wario trying to storm the Money Bin, with Scrooge defending against him with all the traps and mechanisms that have been installed. Then when Wario finally makes it to top(sufficiently tired and beaten up) he has to face off against Scrooge who used to be absolute beast in his youth, but is now an old man.
...I think it'd be cool!
