I can see why it may not work well in Zelda, but you made it sound like you had previous experience with something similar that proved to be a bad experience. I have already successfully done a lot in VR that I have been told shouldn't be done, so I'd prefer not to just take someone's word for it. I actually do think a standard 3rd person orbiting camera will be pretty rough, but I would like to be able to try it for myself to actually confirm.

3rd person view tricks your brain to be a floating camera and if there's no stabilization, it can't handle the sudden, instant movements of a video game
I hate to repeat the same term over and over again, "stabilization", obviously these higher budget vr games are going to be built from the ground up to not induce motion sickness even with the view being what it is, just tacked on VR to a game that's not supposed to be VR is enough to make movement unnatural and fuck with your brain
