Welcome to the multi-store world
Blake Price
Brayden Sullivan
>Counting RSC and Riot as launchers
Sounds like a shill.
Lincoln Diaz
He's the dude behind steamspy.
Juan Robinson
>steam cucks fear this
LMFAO
Adam Rivera
We live in a society.
Owen Johnson
I'm getting real sick of americans. Can't you just buy a billboard or banner? Do you have to pretend to be people and even shit up fucking Yea Forums with this crap?
Zachary Brown
Remember user Epic is evil because they make exclusivity deals which nobody has ever done before in history. Also theyre Chinese and I only support Jews.
Zachary Nelson
>implying your precious valve wasnt doing this shit for years
Dumb steamcel
Aaron Peterson
Then go browse the chan made in whatever 3rd world irrelevant shithole youre from.
Luke Moore
Oh wow, release day views are high. They won't be anywhere near that many views in 2-3 days. Cool cherrypicking Sergey.
John Foster
WHERE'S THE SALES NUMBERS SERGEI
Colton Butler
Look at all those people looking at the games and not buying them. Ouch.
Brandon Jones
>welcome to the multi-store world
what does this even mean?
how does what's popular on twitch have anything to do with the store it's exclusive to?
it's so fucking tiresome
Leo Wright
UNIRONICALLY WHAT FUCKING HAPPENED APEX BROS???
Also, it's been a fucking year and I still don't understand Diaperball fags so pic related
Nathaniel Brooks
They weren't? Its not valves fault if a dev only wanted to release on steam.
Ethan King
Oh look, a shill thread! Gotta get that social score or no girls will ever want you, eh Chang?
William Rivera
>being a pc fat
lmaooooooooo
Kevin Roberts
So what he's saying is that Epic Store has the most best games?
Jose James
>I cannot fucking stand all these goddamn americans on my american imageboard
>this is an outrage. they should have their own imageboard to shit up
This is you
Isaac Ross
>IT IS ME! HIRO! REAL AMERICAN BOY!
Kevin Cook
>Still no proof they did
John Torres
>1 game on Rockstar's social club
>implying they aren't playing it through steam
Brandon Allen
i can thank Epic , used to buy games on steam thanks to their regional pricing but know that every game is going to move to the epic store , and said store have shitty regional pricing here and no refunds , it will be a good callback to the 90s wish anew generation of crackers and torrents host rise more rapidly the time paying american video games has ended so thank you epic store
Parker Nelson
>3 from ebin store
Forbnite, anno and?
Also, anno counts as EGS despite having uplay, but GTA5 isn't a steam game. What the fuck? Is this пaцaнчик serious?
Julian Ramirez
So definitely a shill.
Nathaniel Martinez
GTA5 is the only game there on steam.
Carter Jones
>5 out of the 7 games were around before the EGS
I thought Steam was a monopoly
Gabriel Peterson
>thinking twitch views matter
kids watching other people play vidya and bots don't mean shit
Charles Gutierrez
I thought WWZ is the steam one. Kay.
Alright, why mention social club but skip uplay?
Angel Hernandez
>new releases,
>Fortnite 2017
>GTA V 2013
>League of Legends 2009
>Hearthsone 2014
>Overwatch 2016.
Definitely all flavour of the week, they will all die down once the initial hype is gone.
Austin Morales
>Six shit games, Anno, and people watching a girl chat
So this is gaming...
Julian Lopez
He's the lead manager of the epic store. This is beyond shill. He is the guy in charge of the epic store making a tweet about how great the epic store is.
Leo Jenkins
Are you retarded? The site is still majority American, and always will be because its a fucking American site.
Carter Evans
B...B...But you guys said Sweeney was wrong! People don't go to where the games are! they only buy from Steam™. Steam needs their 30% These greedy publishers will all fail!
Henry Moore
Overwatch IS dying user
Christian Garcia
Anno and WWZ are already out of the top 10.
Is this faggot retarded?
Mason Hernandez
I don't really follow it, so I have no idea if that is true or not. But I know boomers are weirdly investing heavily into the esport which I think will flop. Still considering how it is doing 2 years after release, I dont think these are just "release day" views. And it has done incredibly well for itself, despite not being on steam.
Christian Reed
I am actually pleasantly surprised that Anno is popular among the zoomer Twitch audience.
Charles Green
Not entirely correct.
They make exclusive deals a week or some before a games release. Ripping the game from people who already bought it on Steam.
Examples are Metro Exodus and Anno 1800.
If It was entirely exclusive than it would be frowned apon but accepted. But this is last min timed exclusive deals.
Nobody fucking liked it when Xbone did it for the Tomb Raider games even though nobody likes the Tomb Raider games.
If Epic actually funded the games development it would be over looked. Instead they slipped a fat stack under a publishers door at the last min and inflate their library of games on a launcher nobody wants to touch.
Dominic Long
see
Hunter Williams
This was never an issue. How come everyone is bitching now?
Christian Thompson
> Ripping the game from people who already bought it on Steam.
This is false, every existing sale has been honoured.
>Nobody fucking liked it when Xbone did it for the Tomb Raider games even though nobody likes the Tomb Raider games.
False equivalence. Xbox is not a launcher.
>Instead they slipped a fat stack under a publishers door at the last min and inflate their library of games on a launcher nobody wants to touch.
Seems fine to me, they need a large library to get publishers, to get a large library. It is the catch 22 that keeps Steam the dominant player.
Jackson Jones
Legitimately no idea. Sergey is an idiot and a coward
Bentley Cox
Ah yes. Battlenet, Uplay, Rockstar Social Club, as well as Origin and GOG are just now opening because EGS showed them the way. Welcome to the multi-store world everyone, it totally just started and hasn't been a thing for well over a decade!
Also, it's funny that he counts Anno as a Uplay and EGS game but doesn't count Anno or GTA as a Steam game.
Jeremiah James
Tfw you just wanted to play skyrim without sutter since your laptop is getting old
Buy win 10 gaming pc
Vsync completely broken
Win 10 pile of garbage
Comp only capable of running win 10
Can we go back to 2013 please
Parker Cooper
He isn't counting anno as a steam game because you can't buy it on steam
Adam Cook
Mutt world
Parker Myers
DBZ got fucked by Toei not wanting it to becxome an esport, tough they did back down the damage was already done.
Juan Mitchell
He's being disingenuous. The crux of the argument EPIC puts out is that Steam suffocates competition unfairly because they are so large. By posting "Look, all these diverse stores!" He's trying to subtly win you over and say "Steam is losing, and that's a good thing!"
Caleb Murphy
WWZ.
> but GTA5 isn't a steam game.
It is "just chatting" isnt a game, he counted GTA twice. Cause technically it is for sale for Rockstar Social Club, and the steam copy is just selling you a shortcut to the social club copy iirc. Like Uplay games (which he also counts twice)
Kayden Hill
You do realize you don’t need to own the game to watch a twitch stream right
Dominic Robinson
When the fuck did watching other people play video games become a thing and why did we let it?
Adrian Garcia
No, it has the most watchable games. You won't see something like MHW on it since it's fun to play, but not fun to watch.
Nolan Parker
>3 on EGS
>b-b-but Steam and others are a monopoly!
>the Chinese are innocent!
rly meks u thnk
Hunter Bailey
see
He didnt put anno for steam because it is not on Steam. Also he is not really saying that. He is just pointing out to steam fanboys that steam is more or less unnecessary.
Brandon Lopez
But he's also hurting his own argument, since most of the games there have been around for a long time. Before Epic came along swinging their big dick around
Jose Sanchez
This is dishonest, most people play Fortnite, Overwatch & GTAV on Consoles
Anthony Martinez
Oh my god guys, I'm fucking blind and legit didn't see UPLAY.
Daniel Thomas
who are you quoting.
>EGS is a flop, nobody will buy there, no steam no buy!
>oh yeah if Steam is a monopoly, how come EGS is doing so well!?
>steam is necessary for success, but also not a monopoly!
See I can make fake arguments to!
Adam Howard
Riot launcher is not a fucking store, what is this fucker smoking
Nathan Johnson
Why would you buy Anno from them and not uplay?
Nathaniel Sanchez
Damn, this would bother me if I played any if those games
Grayson Ramirez
>all of them are complete shit
Ian Foster
>what is this fucker smoking
epic shill bux
Levi Gomez
>GTAV is Rockstar Club exclusive when it's also on Steam
>Anno is EGS exclusive when it's also on Uplay
Amazing logic, also this is the same guy that said a store without cloud saves is garbage, but he works for Epic Games & their launcher has no Cloud saves
Xavier Gutierrez
Is it on steam?
John Nelson
> I don't know how to count
you sure showed him with making up random shit he didn't say, and ignore him literally mentioning steam and uplay!
>yeah but he said Cloud saves are important, and is working to bring them to EGS
Fuck you really showed him there again.
Austin James
GTAV is also a Steam game, hes being dishonest
Eli Morales
>Every existing sale has been honoured.
How so? And don't tell me they gave people Epic Store copies because that ain't honored. If they bought it for steam they expect to play it on steam.
>False equivalence.
It's not though. The whole problem is timed exclusivity and that's what Epic and Microsoft both did.
>It is the catch 22 that keeps Steam the dominant player.
But it's not. Steam doesn't pay publishers to get their games on the launcher. They instead provide numerous services that would otherwise cost publishers tons of money to keep maintained. All for a ever decreasing tax of 30% of sales.
Epic slips a few bills and assures publishers that even if their game fails on the EGS they will be reimbursed the difference of the production cost of the game. All for 12% of the games revenue on the store forever. While providing absolutely no support for the game outside of the monetary handout.
You know what would have worked better and didn't cost anyone untold amounts of money and hostility from the public. Just releasing the game on both stores without the draconian practices.
Luke Murphy
No he isn't. The only game on that list that you can buy on steam is GTAV.
Sergey is a cunt, but there's no need to be retarded user
Caleb Wilson
ape legends had upper hand of being something new in stale battle royale climate but it becomes itself stale
Ayden Miller
>counting views as sales
is there a more childish and insecure industry than video games?
Jonathan Harris
What is Just Chatting? A spinoff if Just Cause?
Jacob Reyes
How much is China paying you?
Ayden Howard
Zero. I'm just trying to point out that there's no reason to lie when you're criticising Epic and Sergey
Ian Smith
>How so? And don't tell me they gave people Epic Store copies because that ain't honored. If they bought it for steam they expect to play it on steam.
No like every steam preorder has been honoured on steam with steam copies that exist.
>It's not though.
The platform is windows. They were announced on windows, released on windows, they have not been gatekept from any hardware.
>But it's not. Steam doesn't pay publishers to get their games on the launcher.
They did not have to because they were first, and thus everyone goes to Steam because they are the dominant market.
>hey instead provide numerous services that would otherwise cost publishers tons of money to keep maintained.
Correct, and EGS is essentially doing the same thing for cheaper. Big publishers like EA, who can afford to do it themsleves have, Ubisoft is more or less doing the same, but for everyone else they cant do a big push like EA .
>Epic slips a few bills and assures publishers that even if their game fails on the EGS they will be reimbursed the difference of the production cost of the game
yes because nobody wants to be the first to jump ship. They need to reach a taking off point.
David Gomez
people talking in the camera, that's it.
Samuel Reyes
no one fucking bought gta5 through the social club LMFAO!

Thanos dies to Thor before the opening credits, but he has already destroyed the stones. The rest of the movie centers around using the Quantum Universe to retrieve the stones from the past timeline.
Natasha and Clint go to retrieve the soul stone, with Clint sacrificing Natasha to access it.
Stark builds a gauntlet to wield the retrieved infinity stones to reverse the snap.
Banner has become Hulk permanently, but retains his intelligence and memories as Professor Hulk.
Scott, Hulk, Steve, and Tony travel to the battle of New York to retrieve the mind, space, and time stone. Steve fights his past self.
Thor is living with Korg and Miek, getting drunk and not caring about what happened. Hulk and Rocket go to get him, and his beard and hair are messy and grown out.
Hulk tried to wield the Stark gauntlet, but it appears to be too powerful for him.
Steve dual wields his shield and Mjolnir, it’s unclear how mjolnir comes back. Thor still has Stormbreaker, possible meaning he’s become unworthy due to him neglecting his duties.
Sam is the first dusted avenger to come back, we hear him say to Steve “On Your Left,” then we see T’challa and Shuri coming out of a portal, and Sam flying out.
Big scene with all the Avengers, including Wasp, the Guardians, Spider-Man, vs Thanos and a revived Black Order. It looks like the big fight in Ready Player One, but we actually care about the characters
Stark reunites with Peter and gives him a hug
Carol gets the short hair she has in recent comic, and Peter Parker gives her the Stark Gauntlet

Here's your Top 30 Right now.
Tyler Brown
It's actually great. I had missed out on that release week rush of getting to play the game and share tips and secrets and shitpost on Yea Forums because I was always waiting for sales. Renewed interest in piracy has made me question why I ever spent money on video games in the first place.
Evan Diaz
>7 games in top 8
>9 games across the platforms
wat
Thomas Morales
those are all shit games
Anthony Torres
I just pirate everything thats not on Steam or Multiplayer.
Thomas Morris
>GTAV
Why do people everywhere keep playing and watching people play this game?
Its been 6 fucking years, every time on twitch's most streamed and console sites like psnprofiles GTAV is ALWAYS amongst the recently popular
Why?
What exactly is go god-tier about this game that poeple can play it for THOUSANDS of hours, and then WATCH people play it for hundreds more?
I have it on my shelf and believe it or not i have never played it yet, probably gonna 100% it once unless theres stuff like bullshit races or 5 billion collectibles but thats it
Joseph Hall
GTARP is fucking huge because really big streamers have been jumping on it. Of those 220k people watching it more than 150k people are spread across maybe 30-40 streamers. Basically you'll see all sorts of games shoot up in numbers as people like summit who pull in 10k for anything jump on them for months.
Parker Parker
I mean I always pirated. But this is pretty fucking stupid. HBO Go, Netflix, Prime Video, Hulu+ or whatever the fuck, combined with whatever Apple's + Disneys will cost, is still cheaper than the Cable package to watch all the content, by a metric fucktonne. I used to pay $100 a month for Cable, + rent a bunch of tv seasons from blockbuster, +buy a bunch of TV seasons on DVD, which was expensive. And that is before you even factor in movies. Like yeah I will pirate everything on Disney's platform, because fuck you I can. But that mentality predates the platform, and the platform is still cheaper than cable. If anything all these services are making cord cutting more appealing.
Levi Gray
It decided to release several months too early because EA saw that Anthem was a farce. So they couldn't get content out fast enough for Apex Legends for it to keep it's momentum.
That and it was release shortly before a new Fortnite season.
>they have not been gatekept from any hardware.
Not hardware no. But they are still very much gatekeeping. Semantics mean nothing here. It's the same shit different location
>They did not have to because they were first
They weren't the first. They were the only one giving enough of a fuck to improve themselves though.
>EGS is essentially doing the same thing for cheaper.
But they aren't remotely doing that. Epic doesn't run the games online servers, forums, Mod support, tech support, or anything really that Steam does for a publisher and game.
They just put it on the store front and give the publisher a hand out when it inevitably fails. That's not support. Steam is Domanint because they are good at what they do and nobody else feels like remotely putting in the effort. Especially Epic. Releasing a launcher several years ago that isn't even up to par with the fucking Itch.io launcher. Sitting on it until they start buying up timed exclusivity and getting yelled at that their Launcher is trash and allegedly stealing people's Information.
>EA and Ubisoft.
They have nothing to do with this. They publish and sell their own funded games. nobody else's.
>yes because nobody wants to be the first to jump ship.
2K seemed pretty fucking eager to jump ship at a few bills.
Hudson Ramirez
>Steam doesn't pay publishers to get their games on the launcher.
Oh no no look at tp of head has has has
Joseph Campbell
>apex nowhere to be seen
kek i guess you can't pay people to play your game forever
Hudson Adams

Alexander Roberts
makes me mad that R* and GTAV got bailed out AGAIN. this time by RP faggots
Julian Martin
This is still being spread around despite it being completely false.
Owen Russell
Toei liked it becoming a ESport. They didn't like that they weren't getting anything out of it though.
Carter Watson
>anno was on steam
>literally nobody boy gta5 on the social club
>LoL client being counted as a store
lol
Mason Campbell
>But they are still very much gatekeeping
how? what prohibits anyone who can run the games, from downloading EGS?
>They weren't the first.
They really were, there was no incumbent for steam to challenge. Your nostalgia glasses are bullshit, I assure you HL2 and CS source fans were not hugely amazed by how much they loved steam and its great features. Before steam I just bought Manhunt 2 from some random website Rockstar linked to, that was hardly steam tier competition.
>But they aren't remotely doing that. Epic doesn't run the games online servers, forums, Mod support, tech support, or anything really that Steam does for a publisher and game.
Okay fair, so if I am a singleplayer game, or can provide my own solutions to all these myself that are better, Steam will let me keep 88% right? How much does Nexusmods charge?
>Steam is Domanint because they are good at what they do and nobody else feels like remotely putting in the effo
Nobody gives a flying fuck. Origin is a great launcher, you want to know the only reason anyone, including me uses it? because the games aren't on Steam. And my god some EA games do really well without giving Valve a penny. To me Steam is a dumb service that runs in the background when I launch a game. It is that to most people. Yes it is also a social media platform and forum for you faggots. But 99% of steam users, use it solely because they games they want to play are there. Not because of whatever bullshit talking points people always bring up in these threads.
>They have nothing to do with this. They publish and sell their own funded games.
And their launchers are successful, because they could steam roll it until it was popular, can afford to market their games heavily, and don't have the same dilemma as Epic because of their insane library of games they publish carried them to a takeoff point.
>2K seemed pretty fucking eager to jump ship at a few bills.
not without financial guarantees.
Dominic Bennett
>Correct, and EGS is essentially doing the same thing for cheaper.
No it is not, look at dangerous driving which is an EGS exclusive
>Dangerous Driving is currently an Epic Games Store exclusive title. This usually wouldn’t impact a review in any way, but the client’s lack of features makes this PC release strictly inferior to its console counterparts. Since the EGS currently doesn’t have achievement support, neither does Dangerous Driving. This is excusable, but the additional lack of online leaderboards is the real bummer.
They can't even provide leaderboards or achievements.
Lucas Powell
DBZ is just shallow compared to SF and everyone in that community knows it so they play SF instead. More diversity on what's viable. Less of the same old same old every match.
Asher Scott

>Origin is a great launcher
Is this a joke? Every single time I've tried to play a game with my friends on origin it's a fucking nightmare.
>try to squad up in bfv
>my and my friends can't see each other on the friends list even though we're both online
>after many restarts it works but it puts us on the wrong teams
>try anthem
>it puts me and my friend into different instances even though we're in the same squad
These are EA's own devs using EA's own frostbite engine and they can't even get their shit to work right, imagine if origin had more non-EA multiplayer games. Don't even get my started with their download speeds.
Juan Morgan
>no leaderboards
OH NO NO NO EGS BTFO HOW WILL THEY EVER RECOVER!?
In all seriousness, if that is the only online feature who really gives a fuck? Look, Steam makes sense for certain games. And Steam is not really going anywhere anytime soon. For a game like say MHW, which is a consoleport of a japanese game with moderate online features, is Capcom not gonna host their own online servers just for that, and there is no real third party competition. But the feature is necessary, so they have to grin and bare it and pay the valve tax. But if your game has no online, or something as frivolous as just an online leaderboard is it really worth it. The game uses UE4, so they are saving the 5% there as well. So would steam really justify 23% of sales revenue, just for them to host a leaderboard system? This is why I always get screeched at for being an EGS shill, and always find myself defending them. Because this is such disingenuous sensationalist bullshit. Oh no the sky is falling cause a game doesn't have an online leaderboard. Would it be cool if EGS had some online service to host that? sure. Am I going to scream and curse them all day cause they do not? no.
If Valve was smart they would start doing A la carte, pricing to compete. Match EGS on the cut if you dont use their online services etc.
As for Achievements, if you actually care. Just print yourself out an "I participated" sticker, put it on your shirt, then try for the achievement of most backflips complete whilst jumping off a skyscraper.
Daniel Butler
The guy is being disingenuous. Anno was on steam and it's on uplay and EGS, GTA5 is on steam and RSC, the LoL client is not even a store where you can buy games, it's as much of a store as any MMO client.
Juan Rodriguez
>Every single time I've tried to play a game with my friends on origin it's a fucking nightmare.
That is their stupid webbrowser launcher thing though, not Origin itself. Origin itself just werks, been fine in Titanfall 2 and Gaypex. Not like no games on steam have problems. Ever played Dark Souls? Origin itself is pretty great and actually better in a lot of ways. They beat Steam to generous refunds way first, and Origin Access is unironically a decent value(though I am expecting it to decline now that they have "premiere")
Benjamin Miller
>primarily mp game has no basic mp functions
Yeah, who should care except those who play it.
Parker Bennett
EGS haters BTFO.
Jackson Taylor
You are missing the point, something as simple as leadersboards is too much for EGS to accomplish. You can defend EGS not having this stuff in 2019 when even fucking uplay and origin have it, I don't care, for the people who actually care about this stuff including the devs who go far enough to put achievements and leaderboards in their games it matters. You have to be autistic to not understand that different people value different features.
John Jenkins
>from downloading EGS?
The fact that the launcher is utter trash with no features whatsoever and bloats your ram more than running Steam as a browser.
The fact that I'm still getting emails about how people are trying to get into my Epic account and I made that account 2 years ago.
The fact that people don't want to use 40 different clients because a new publisher thought it would be a cool idea to make their own store front this week.
The fact most people want their games in a neat little packages and not scattered among countless launchers.
The fact that everything on the EGS is overpriced.
Just to name a few.
>They really were,
GFWL, Battle.Net, NCsoft, Nexon, Windows, WildTangent,.
They really weren't. They were just the only ones that tried. and outside of Gog. They still pretty much still are.
>can provide my own solutions to all these myself that are better, Steam will let me keep 88% right?
No. Those people go to GoG or someplace else because they don't need what Steam can do for them. 2K sure as fuck isn't in that situation.
>Origin is a great launcher.
It's only for EA games so I beg to differ.
No need to get hostile. Your shill is showing.
>their launchers are successful
Their games on Consoles are successful. They constantly have to give away free games for people to care about their launchers. The EGS isn't even successful because 80% of the people who own a EGS account are the people who were required to make one to play Fortnite and another 15% or so are those who nicked free games.
>Not without Finacial Gaurantees.
Randy is burning some bridges right now over this Epic deal.
Also spell check is a thing. Maybe start using it.
Hunter Morales
Can you even buy shit on the RSC? This dudes desperate not to give Steam any quarter.
But also fuck steam.
Jordan Bailey
If you think a system of exclusivity benefits you and not corporations, you're retarded
Gabriel Edwards
I personally will never use the EGS until they have as many half-baked, hastily added, broken and then swiftly abandoned "features" as Steam does.
Connor Myers
They don't give a shit what you want, that's why people hate epic. Imagine trying to sell people something without caring about their wants or needs, reminds me of when GFWL tried to sell PC gamers on paying for the PC equivalent of XBL and they got btfo.
Julian Robinson
reminder that steam has its own streaming service so it doesnt even need to use twitch
Thomas Gutierrez
They don't even have 1% of the fully backed, perfectly added fixed and fully supported features steam does.
How do you expect them to come up with a ton of broken shit when they don't even want to start doing anything?
Liam Cruz
They need to work on that shit because it's worse than mixer and youtube, I was expecting them to make it a big deal with that steam.tv thing but nope, nothing happened.
Levi Sullivan
>Try to watch some stream on Twitch
>Suddenly +2min of ads during gameplay
>can no longer block them
How do people watch this shit?
Liam Howard
>primarily mp game
I thought we were talking about Dangerous Driving?
>You are missing the point, something as simple as leadersboards is too much for EGS to accomplish.
That is like saying, yeah the airfare on Southwest is drastically cheaper than United, but you have to pay $5 for a blanket and it is not available on some flights. Would you really fly an airline where something as simple as a free blanket is too much for them to accomplish!? Fly United today!
It is incredibly disingenuous, and obviously blind fanboy rationalization.
Look I pirate a lot of shit, you know what no pirate has ever said in the history of piracy? "yeah I was gonna pirate it, but then I would't have access to the online leaderboard!" Maybe one day EGS adds something for that, maybe they don't but it hardly justifies the price of admission for publishers. And hardly worth complaining about as a consumer.
Luis Garcia
>Developers will decide
a paychecks and paycheck to developers.
They have no say in where and what the game they are making is going to be on unless they are both publisher and Developers.
But Epic has made it perfectly clear that if you are not Triple A or popular. You are not getting on EGS. So most Indie games are never going to be on EGS and Publishers are getting paid off.
The Consumer determines the end of the war. Because the consumer is the only way the publisher survives.

>The fact that the launcher is utter trash with no features whatsoever and bloats your ram more than running Steam as a browser.
I dont use game launchers for their cool feel or ui on their dumb chromium clients user.
>The fact that I'm still getting emails about how people are trying to get into my Epic account and I made that account 2 years ago.
I mean just an anecdote, but I get this for steam but not EGS, Steam is cooler in that it tells what third world shit hole they are trying to sign in from though.
>The fact that people don't want to use 40 different clients because a new publisher thought it would be a cool idea to make their own store front this week.
I dont care, most people dont care, the OP shows nobody cares but steam fanboys, who are just a whiny minority.
>GFWL, Battle.Net, NCsoft, Nexon, Windows, WildTangent,.
None of these were the same thing remotely user. GFWL wasnt actually a store, battle.net, nexon etc did not sell third party AAA games.
>No. Those people go to GoG or someplace else because they don't need what Steam can do for them. 2K sure as fuck isn't in that situation.
GoG still takes 30% and won't let them use Denuvo. Also even CDprojekt is too pussy to go GoG exclusive.
>It's only for EA games so I beg to differ.
What does that have to do with anything?
>Their games on Consoles are successful.
And on PC as well, BF1 BTFO out of anything on steam that year. Gaypex did alright recently and even Anthem somehow managed to do fucking well on PC. Origin exclusivity seems to be 0 bottleneck on EA.
>The EGS isn't even successful
too early to tell, but seems to be doing alright.
>Randy is burning some bridges right now over this Epic deal.
Randy is not his own publisher here retard.
>Also spell check is a thing. Maybe start using it.
It is a Yea Forums shitpost, not a fucking master's thesis.
Andrew Brooks
I use uBlock but it doesn't help. The ads are now shown directly on the stream.
Not even Steamlink helps anymore.
Jordan Mitchell
some streamers spam ads during gameplay, you're only supposed to see 1 ad when you open a stream, if you see more than that then it means the streamer is pushing ads for extra money.
Thomas Ortiz
in the eternal words of that /pol/tard youtube """"philospher,"""" not an argument.
Juan Fisher
but I was told that competition is great.
Charles Sanders
I mean this is stupid for me to say because it is not zero sum. But I really wish streamers did more of this and less of the fucking obnoxious donor shit.
Logan Mitchell
Is WWZ any good? Looks like L4d3 and that might be what I want right now.
Josiah Adams
>GFWL wasnt actually a store
GFWL was LITERALLY a store. You have no idea what you're talking about
Jayden Ortiz
Have you checked Anno recently?
You can't buy it on the store anymore.
You might be surprised to hear that most people don't preorder.
>responses to the gripes
You are not everyone and like myself don't speak for everyone.
>None of these were the same thing remotely user
They are game launchers. Can't play the game unless you had the launcher. Same thing just didn't do third party. Semantics ain't going to help you here Epic Shill.
>GoG still takes 30% and won't let them use Denuvo.
Which is why I also said "Someplace else". Try and keep up. They could stand along release a disc out into the wild if they are so well off or sell the game from their own website. Nothings really stopping anyone from doing this.
>CDprojekt
Literally co owns GoG.
>What does that have to do with anything?
Other than EA games sucking complete shit? Nothing.
>too early to tell
They are burning through Fortnite money in an attempt to build a Library for a Launcher everyone hates. Yeah. Pretty sure it's already far passed the point of no return.
>Randy is not his own publisher here retard.
But he is a Developer under 2K and him being a giant douche right now negatively affects 2K.
Christopher Taylor
If Epic's doing so great then they should release their sales and active user numbers.
Dominic Robinson
>0 games with discounts due to price competition
Let me know when the price war starts.
Jose Reed
NOOO THEY CAN'T DO THAT BECAUSE STEAM IS EVIL WE NEED TO SUPPORT EPIC BUT NEVER ASK QUESTIONS
Josiah Taylor
if adblockers stop working completing people who spam ads like that will probably lose viewers since people hate having ads constantly interrupting gameplay for minutes at a time
Isaiah Reed
>I think your IQ is just too low for this discussion
At least he has the brain capacity to formulate a proper response, fucking faggot.
Juan Johnson
>You are not everyone and like myself don't speak for everyone.
Sure but consumers as a whole mostly dont care. vocal minorities exist, with a wide range of genuineness.
>They are game launchers. Can't play the game unless you had the launcher. Same thing just didn't do third party. Semantics ain't going to help you here Epic Shill.
Yes, and this proves they were the first mass digital store to have a huge library of third party AAA games before steam how? steam was first, if anything going "well technically maple-story used a launcher" is the semantic argument, rather than the substance one. No idea how pointing this out makes me a shill, if anything it is a good thing? good on valve.
>I also said "Someplace else".
yes, that someplace else is this new store called EGS, heard of it? kinda been making headlines recently.
>They could stand along release a disc out into the wild if they are so well off or sell the game from their own website.
lol. Apart from the huge negative costs of doing physical over digital, and costs of running their own distribution platform, and literal 0 visibility that comes from just hoping someone googles it. The ones who can afford to do this, already do, the only holdout until recently was Ubisoft.
>Literally co owns GoG.
My point, they don't even release anything GoG exclusive. Suggesting it is not the most viable. They literally give Valve a 30% cut to sell an inferior version of the game they sell themselves and keep 100% of the revenue from.
>They are burning through Fortnite money in an attempteveryone hates.
they don't care if you love it or hate it user, just if you use it. Everyone hated Origin as well. Everyone hated Denuvo. Turns out "everyone" is a very small group, most of whom buy the game anyway. I doubt it is costing them much either, they are garunteed sales mostly, not huge unconditional cheques. I think most the publishers jumping want EGS to succeed, they just dont want to assume any risk
Ian Ross
Are you gonna cry now? Pusy
Julian Diaz
aside from launching well after steam, most GFWL games were available for purchase on steam. Only wnes I can think of that were note were Halo 2 and I think Fable III? basically UWP of its time.
Leo Lopez
>Carol gets the short hair she has in recent comic, and Peter Parker gives her the Stark Gauntlet
Flat butt with shit feet.
Christopher Baker
REMINDER
SERGEY GALYONKIN IS LITERALLY THE BOARD DIRECTOR FOR EPIC GAMES MARKETING IN EUROPE
Brayden Moore
>Everyone hated Origin as well. Everyone hated Denuvo.
Everyone hated GFWL gold and everyone hated paid mods on steam. Neither of those things exist anymore.
Aaron Ward
>people who spam ads like that will probably lose viewers since people hate having ads constantly interrupting gameplay for minutes at a time
Steam already has this. The adspots are just incredibly cheap spots called "bits" Steamlabs is also another ad agency there. Most the top streamers spam ads like no tomorrow with this shit and do fine. I would much rather see a for profit company shill me with a well produced commercial during a designated adbreak than be constantly interrupted by these annoying faggots.
Daniel Collins
the point is you could buy games on gfwl
Evan Lopez
fair and noted.
Why I said it is too early to tell. But I would liken it more to Uplay or Origin, than paid subscription service or paid mods. GFWL itself more or less lives on in the rebrand that is the Windows 10 Store.
Brandon Martin
>steam already has this
Meant Twitch
Jordan Kelly
the gold account stuff is gone forever though, no one in their right mind is going to push for pc gamers to pay for the ability to play online the way consoles do
Jace Parker
Agreed, I just don't know what the hell that has to do with EGS.
Henry Baker
>Welcome to the multi-store world.
He's several years late.
