I'm burnt out on RE for the time being. I'm looking for games that have the charm of MGS, Dark Souls and RE. Those are my three favorite series. I have Yakuza Zero but I lost my save file so I have to start all over. I have Uncharted 1 2 3 and 4. I have Vanquish for PS3 - haven't really played it. Nioh, Shadow of the Colossus, Deadly Premonition, Dragon's Dogma, Persona 5,Monster Hunter World, Heavy Rain, DMC HD Collection._. I have almost all of the really good games I'm interested in, I just don't know what to play. Maybe I need to get Sekiro or DMC5 to get me out of the rut...

I guess I'll continue to play RE games. I tried playing REmake 1 again earlier and dropped it after I got two of the four death masks. I HAVE beat the game three times over the past three weeks I've had it, but there's something about REmake that is so boring to me. The game feels like a chore completion list and that feeling is compounded by backtracking for kerosene. I'm gonna replay the original RE2 and see how it feels. I dropped CVX after I got to Antarctica. The game had a couple of annoying puzzles and I dread the future ones. Sigh... I'm running out of good games to play...

Yeah, I've played those on PC some time back. I need to repurchase them for PS. The game that got me into Resident Evil was 7 because the game has a lot of dark humor.It was a game unlike any I'd ever played. Then I bought REmake 2 expecting to get more humorous dialogue and over-the-top moments,but instead got a really good and addictive survival horror game. I like it for different reasons, but RE7 is such a special game to me. It ranks up there with MGS 1 and 3. One common thread I've discovered that RE, MGS3 and Dark Souls have in common is the survival element.
I feel like there have to be more similar atmospheric survival games, but I can't think of any. I think I'll just replay the RE titles which really clicked with me, specifically RE2, RE4, RE7, and REmake 2, and go from there. Everyone has their favorites, right? Some RE games, like RE0, are just boring as hell at the beginning because they're so uninspired and make you feel like you're retracing covered ground.

This may be an oddball suggestion but 7 Days to Die is pretty good IMO. It has a unique sense of humor and silliness to the world. The scavenging and base building elements are fun, and there's a lot of tense moments that happen when you're exploring. I played it single-player only and got about 30 hours out of it before I put it down.
