It isn't. The overworld in P3 sucks and nothing of value is lost from it's removal. MC losing multi-wielding is a shame but the addition of skill cards more than makes up for it. Also you can swap Aegis out for one of the other party chicks if you want to as well. P3P is overall just a more enjoyable experience than FES.
