Ironically Zelda runs better on handheld mode at 720 than docked at 1080p, so it should be fine on the go (with even more speed)

I live in mexico. I had all versions on my wish list for a long time, there was a good sale for new 2ds but I missed cause I was short of money and thought I had time.

Now there is none and I contacted amazon, they basically told me that they have no plans to buy more to sell in the short time...

I haven't done any careful testing, but my experience has been that handheld performance is generally smoother than docked. Zelda and Tales of Vesperia in particular.

Looks like it's still dockable. I'd assumed it wouldn't support that since they wouldn't have to provide the cooling for docked mode.

Dispense with a lot of cost/complexity with non-removable controller. I'd expect this to cost like $150

Presumably this will be on a new node and passively cooled.

Plan B is to hold the one I have until the end, the battery last like 3 years, yet I have 3 backups, 2 from the wiiu pros and one from a 2ds I broke almost new.

My first 2ds buttons lasted 5 years, so I was hoping for a backup to reach 10.

I guess if I never play smash on it, plus I already played all the games, it can last much longer.

I thought the mini wasn't going to be dockable? There's the little cut out alignment bit on the bottom, same as the normal one for the dock.

Don't you have to place switches side by side for one of Party's gimmicks? Would be pretty awkward if you couldn't remove the joycons.

It is a completely optional, separate mode for a couple of minigames because they knew that would be a super niche feature. But yeah, toad's rec room would probably be nearly unplayable.
