what is your favourite nation to play as?
Eu4
I've recently taken liking to the Mamluks, they are comfy.
i just got bored out of a diyamo vassal swarm campign. any good euro countries with decent ideas group?
Sweden is pretty good and decently interesting to play due to always having something to do. Also developing Dalaskogen and taking over Lybeck trade note will make sure that money never runs out.
Unifying japan as any of the daimos.
EU4 has the same problem all 4x games have (not implying EU4 is 4x).
Where if you know what you're doing the eclipsing the AI is a matter of time regardless where you start from. And the stronger you get the less you need to play smart.
I hate that it's not really possible to play tall in this game.Playing as a OPM like Lubeck or Frankfurt and creating your trade league and making money is simply not possible because the game starts punishing you with small land force limits and naval force limits no matter how rich you are.
Best nation is Aragon with a no cb into Byzantium. Wait for ottomans to attack then vassal the ere.
I think it's a bigger issue that you can't use money to increase base development or drain swamps and the like.
I mean fuck, it was done irl.
They're not meant for challenge. They're essentially roleplaying games
One thing I prefer in EU3 over 4 is that almost everything in that game is done with cold hard cash instead of mana. It did tie things like forcelimit to size of country too though.
That's boring. Where are the proper geopolitical strategy games!
Morocco, Genoa and Japan.
I tried latly with oda can do it but shogun still has provinces worth of over 1000 adm to core for few
so i stopped,,,
this hurts and i am adm behind already
Muscovy and Milan.
Both have a neat unique government and starting position.
ditmachen
Not going full autism mode with Ryuku with a world conquest and instead just slowly expanding in Japan and South East Asia is kinda fun but then becomes tedious. Especially because Japan and Korea are too developed and you can't take too much in a single war and just have to go to war again and again and again.
How do I stop being bad at this game?
Just accept you're terrible at it and use console commands. It's not like the game is fair to you anyway.
What are you having issues with?
there is a guy called pravus who is literally doing just that. he is one of few 'youtubers' that i recommend
>let's make muslims the strongest, most tolerant, and bestest countries in the game!
Fuck Paradox.
I've done it with the shitty low dev OPMs.
The key is to get big fast and have big allies and reduce the number of entities in Japan.
Your force limit will jump when you declare war.
Those allies follow you against the shogun and then become vassals.
I have almost 800 hours and I still don't know how to break the game. I can only do basic bitch shit.
>>>/pol
you forgot most tech advanced
Honestly speaking everything that makes enemies of European powers harder to beat is positive. I would not mind if they had even more advantage. Ottomans should be intimidating final boss and India should be tough to conquer because there should be challenge through the game. Pure power fantasy map painting where nobody can resist you past 16th century makes for a dull vidya.
You misunderstood me, i hate the idea of WC. It's too reliant on bugs and exploits and overall is too gamey and takes me out of the expirience. I like roleplaying as my rulers and take decisions according to their traits even if it's gonna hurt me, not making border gore to conquer every single province in the world by an obscure tag like Rwanda
its not hard just admin costly... over 1000 adm points to core and to attack shogun you drop 3 stab points fuck...
i noticed shogun also stealing my dev when i tried to force renaissance
wtf when did they add this? I never noticed it some patches ago when i played shimazu
Only at the start, which is accurate.
Orthodox is the strongest religion in the game.
Great Britain, as long as you have your wooden wall you can have virtually no army, flip Europe the middle finger, and rake in duchats on trade and pirates.
>Orthodox is the strongest religion in the game
Not so much after the conversion nerfs. Now the tolerant religions like Tengri, Fetishist, and Islam are way better.
Fetishist and Tengri are shit tier.
If you don't want to bother converting, just get humanist ideas.
Tibet, Dutch Republic, Prussia.
Oh sorry, I didn't realize you don't actually play the game. Have you even picked it up in the last year? "Pick Humanist" alone is no longer sufficient and you need additional sources of heathen tolerance in addition to it. Because of this Tengri is a top-tier religion for world conquests.
Stop talking about things you know nothing about.
what is the quintessential ideas for ANY nation?
I always go for religious and humanist every single time.
Is there anyway to get around desyncing in multiplayer?
I'm constantly 3 years behind my friend and unable to make any moves
i never take those as any country
C u c k.
unless you are catholic or sunni, how can you stand having shit religious unity and missionary strength my dude?
Trade. Almost any nation can eventually make more money through trade than all other income combined.
I do play it, and I've never had any issue converting in the new patch.
Islam doesn't even have any religious acceptance bonus. Only Confucian and Hindu have tolerance of heathens. Confucian can harmonise with religions but is terrible beyond that. Hindu is really good though, probably the second best religion.
>Islam doesn't even have any religious acceptance bonus.
PLAY THE GAME
Just kill them when they revolt and don't rely on infidel provinces to be your economical backbone.
Half your ideas should be military.
Admin if you're going to blob.
Trade
You could just point out how I'm wrong instead.
Dutch don't need humanist, they can naturally attain full acceptance
