impossible to fail*
just cheese her with shuriken throws and followups
Did you try hitting her until she dies?
mada mada...
t. Puppy
Stop playing it like dark souls
You can literally beat the first phase by just dodge-attacking in succession. One of the easiest bosses in the game.
>Big obvious jump attacks
>Only dangerous move is a sweep
>arena with places to hide and recover health
Do you not know what the red kanji in the middle of the screen signifies?
the game tells you how to beat her
I'm pretty shit at this game and died probably 10 times on Seven Spear but the granny was easy as fuck.
The cutscene intro to this fight was genius game design
>Wolf comes across Kuro
>Suspects Kuro might be an illusion
>Performs the "Illusion Technique" which appears to be a simple hand clap
Illusions aren't weak to Snap Seeds or Firecrackers exclusively. They're weak to sound and the game specifically goes out of it's way to communicate this subtly.
>Mega64
Ah, I remember them. Cool guys
How the fuck do I beat the second phase?
No, he just notices that Kuro is under an illusion technique and removes it with sound.
Then why doesn't the sound of my sword hitting theirs dispel them?
Why do I need snap seeds at all if I can just clap?
emh, those hands are a little big for a... ejem... lady?
>defeat Geni
>defeat the Monk
>defeat the Ape
>can't defeat the old hag
I don't know what i'm doing wrong. That annoying fast slash move she does takes my entire life bar.
my only real advice is to sprint in circles around the outer edge of the arena, and attempt to destroy the spirits if you dont have any snap seeds. if you don't, keep fucking running, because all of those fuckers turn into projectiles when she dispels them. If youve ever played dark souls 3, its kind of like the Aldrich fight where you cant roll the stupid magic or arrows. Otherwise, she fights mostly the same
Not loud enough in the moment
Prove it. There's no visual indication of actual illusions in the cutscene.
Because you are hitting illusions, that's not the real sound lmao
>There's no visual indication of actual illusions in the cutscene.
Yeah no shit, only Kuro sees them because he's the only one under the technique. Notice how he says something about butterflies.
Just play it like the first but be extra careful with the butterflies. Try to lure all the illusions to one side of the field, kill as many as you can and when they explode, dart to the other side and use one of the pillars to block the butterflies
>Notice how he says something about butterflies.
Well yeah, he was currently under her care. I'm sure he saw her illusions at some point. I just completely doubt that he was trying to save Kuro from some sort of spell.
Look at the physical mannerisms. Wolf doesn't relax or show an emotional response to Kuro until AFTER he uses the technique. He thought Kuro was fake.
The sweep? Just jump. Deflect everything else. You should have the vitality and attack power to make this trivial
LMAO!
I was on this boat too user. Ignore all advice, here is the truth.
Just beat your face against her over and over until it clicks. The rest of the game is ezpz once you finally get it
I noticed that she always appears on the far side of the room once she respawns so I just bumrushed her immediately and she didn't spawn illusions. After that it was just dealing with the patterns from the first phase while being wary of the butterflies.
punish everyjump with shorikens, in the second phase use snapseeds. never let her breath, keep attacking
And yet, beaten by many.
Where can I grind for divine confetti? I need it for the Abandon Dungeon boss. I could probably beat him without it, but it was just so laughably easy the first time, I don't really want to try without it. Only reason I died is because his one sphere attack actually hit me for the first when he literally had the kill marker on him.
with no stamina bar you have infinite dodge and attacks, just run around till you feel confident enough to engage, also dying is meaningless so don't be afraid to spend time learning the different attacks the bosses use
Blue Ashina Samurai.
I killed her on my third-fourth try. Had a hard time with Genichiro. Just use the pillars as cover and you're done.
How do you dodge his beam attack? It tracks you so dashing doesn't do anything for me.
It barely tracks and it's extremely slow after he fires. You should sprint sideways without approaching or only approaching very little and it'll never touch you. I got whiffed by it a few times but aside from the Terror effect, it's not that damaging. Same goes for most of his attacks, except for the large spirit balls which are dodged better if you run sideways until they're chasing you and then towards him when they're about to hit you.
you don't dodge it. you can parry it.
