Sometimes I swear I'm the only Switch owner that doesn't give a fuck about Smash
Am I truly alone, user?
Sometimes I swear I'm the only Switch owner that doesn't give a fuck about Smash
Am I truly alone, user?
blue lightning is cool.
as for your question, probably. The only Switch games I own are smash and Marble it Up
Yep always find be as well
Yeah, you're the only retard that has a Switch and doesn't care about one of its biggest games. Congrats special snowflake
There are a good number of us. You also have the group that doesn't care about the party games in general.
Why would you buy a system if you aren't interested in the games?
I mean what the fuck else is there to play apart from smash and zelda
Honestly it's got almost nothing worthwhile on it
Zelda and Mario were worth the price of admission alone IMO
But yeah, my Switch has been an indie port machine for the most part
Kind of a bummer - I was expecting the release droughts to be less common since Nintendo doesnt have to worry about two platforms now
After unlocking all the characters, I barely play it anymore. It lacks some of the personality of the older games.
Theres so many good ports that I play it every day and am having a great time.
Not sure if troll or idiot
My switch is hacked because I'm not a retarded sweaty faggot caring about a shitty fighting game enough to deprive myself from all the hacked games like some turbo-autist.
I give a fuck but while it's trying valiantly the series still hasn't fully climbed back out of the hole that sloppy, floaty fuckfest called Brawl dug for it.
No, I'm in the same boat. I only ever once played Smash back when it came out on Gamecube, but I didn't like it.
I bought it for Breath of the Wild, Odyssey and Shin Megami Tensei 5. Wnted to buy Kirby too although the demo was pretty shit.
>I was expecting the release droughts to be less common since Nintendo doesnt have to worry about two platforms now
And they aren't, you just didn't have any interest in the games that are coming to it and are calling that a drought.
>buying a system for three games
And here I thought only sonyfags were this stupid.
>buying a switch at all
Nintendo's consoles are clearly aimed at young children. I've always thought it would be cool if they made a slightly more mature Zelda title aimed at adults, or if their consoles had GTA, etc. (I guess the DS had Chinatown Wars but that's not really a full-blown GTA). But it doesn't look like that will ever happen.
Yeah, Breath of the Wild looks sort of cool, but it's still clearly a game for young children. I don't know why any adult would buy a Nintendo Switch. Buy an Xbox One, a PS4, or a gaming PC, where you will find games aimed at adults.
>where you will find games aimed at adults.
That's an oxymoron. There's no such thing as a game for adults.
I bought the Switch for Splatoon 2, Bayo2 and Xenoblade Chronicles 2, so no OP its not rare.
Dwarf fortress and space engine
Which aren't for adults.
The same breed of autists that play those games also have an interest in Nintendo platforms
No you aren't alone, I don't give a crap about Smash and never did.
But not for kids either.
It's for gnomes aka adult that doesn't wanna grow up.
Nah, I don't give a shit about party games either.
On what planet are they for adults when they're the antithesis of a game a normal person in general would play?
I dont even own smash bros on switxh, or wii u
Can confirm, I like Nintendo stuff and also like Dwarf Fortress
Why am I ignored by everyone when I talk about hacking on the switch? Is it because Yea Forums is only inhabited by shills and they don't wanna talk about something that'll hurt daddy Nintendo sales?
GTA is definitively made for adults because it's illegal to even sell it to children. Same with RDR 2. And lots of other games.
Here we have an exhibit of a man unsecure in his adultedness. He must continually remind himself of his adulthood by proving that he, himself, has moved passed it while all others are still stuck in their own childhood, else, they would denounce all that continually reminds him of his own childishness.
No. I didnt like the 64 one when rented from blockbuster and I have never looked back. I moved on from fighting games after mortal kombat 3 in 1996
Now now user, please ensure that you are actually secure in your adultness and not just being a manchild
These games were made to appeal to the average 13 year old, don't even kid yourself.
How many people first played these types of games at that age for the first time?
Gore like Mortal Combat as well, aimed at adolescents.
See? It's being ignored again!
Shit, I'm getting paranoiac, it's the tenth time everyone ignores this on this board. And the "what are you playing on your switch" is basically one big advertising thread.
You got triggered enough by that other user to post an image. You have no right to call anyone else a manchild.
You got told by the diamond dogs Chad, it would be better if you just sit down.
I'm not interested in Smash, you are not alone.
Apart from illegal NES clone and recent Switch marketing push for Switch, Nintendo was never relevent in my country and I don't care about most Smash characters. No one here used to play Smash games in their childhood/teenage years, and pretty much for everyone Nintendo stuff is "childish"
I play Taiko no Tatsujin on my Switch, finished Sonic Mania on it, bought Xenoblade 2 recently.
Just like I got Wii U for Bayo2, I will buy Bayo3 as soon as it's out.
There are not enough games to bother with hacking.
Had my Switch with old firmware just lying there, all dusty and tired, and I realized that hacking it now is just bothersome. Nothing to play.
Being an adult means that you understand that enjoying something *potentially* designed for children doesn't mean that you actually are a child. You should be able to understand the differences between an activity, an activities suitability, an activities requirements, and the age of the actor participating in the activity, are all seperate things.
You may be right on GTA, but RDR2 is too slow and boring for your average zoomer
That's a game thats clearly meant for the dude in his mid 30s that games for an hour or two after work to unwind
You live in Europe? Because I'm french and frankly it seems like nobody really care about the switch, it's more of a joke if anything. I guess it's mostly popular in the usa.
The niggers and arabs all play the PS4 over here.
>You live in Europe?
Yes, Eastern Europe.
Copy pasted from a Smash thread that just died. I really don't like Smash Ultimate. As for the series in general its sitting at 2 great entries and 1 good one, and 2 really fucking bad ones.
>Worst game in the series by far. Does nothing new, and nothing as well as the previous entries. Single player content is terrible. I'd prefer the total lack of content that Smash 4 had over world of souls or whatever that shite is called. And the controls are terrible. Inputs constantly get eaten, new airdodge mechanics are a shitty mid way between Melee and 4, loads of advanced movement removed, no wavedash, no item slides, no DACUS, no perfect pivot. Online even with the Switch docked and using the ethernet adapter is laggy as fuck and the online options for match making are retarded and a huge step back from Smash 4 and now you have to pay for the displeasure.
its the worst Smash game by a long way. I can't understand why anyone would think otherwise.
>not interested in one game
>dont buy the console
what
also no OP you are not the only one. I also dont give any fuck about Mario games. never cared and never will. it was the same with my 3ds
I tried it once on the 3ds and i thought it was garbo. Idk why there are people literally screaming over some shitty anime character being playable when the base game is so bleh
Not alone, I’m not feeling the way it plays. Usually playing Mario kart 8. Also can anyone tell me how the TWEWY port plays and is it worth it?
An obsession with maturity is a very obvious display of immaturity. You sound like the kind of guy who breaks into a cold sweat over the idea of people on a bus or a train you'll never see again in your life seeing you play video games.
You sound like the sorta guy who gets all defensive when he gets called a hipster
Okay so you admit you don't have an argument then beyond desperate accusations of being a manchild, thanks for clearing that up.
No, I hate it too
Don't see what the fuss is all about.
I've pirated it and tried it. Plays and controls like shit. I rather play Street Fighter.
>How many people first played these types of games at that age for the first time?
Yeah I was probably 12 when I first played GTA. But still, these games are aimed at adults AS WELL as teenagers. And yeah, something like RDR 2 in particular, that's probably aimed at a more mature audience.
My original point was about the Switch and its games being made for children. I think there are more adults interested in things like GTA and RDR 2 than there are adults interested in things like Zelda and Mario.
Yes user. You and only you. Every other Switch owner in the world cares about Smash. It's JUST you. You are truly alone in this. Most definitely
I am here for you, user! I hate smash, it's truly the most mediocre game on the console. I don't get why so many braindead retards are buying it. It's the same game over and over again.
I played GTA vice city when I was 3. My brother who's 10 years older than me had me on his lap while I gunned down everyone in sight. Truly one of my greatest memories.
Same situation but on PS4. I feel like I'm the only PS4 owner who prefer japanese videogames over big budget western trash. That's why I feel more at home on Switch and I'm going to play Persona 5 on it.
Well the main point of Zelda and Mario is their creative game design and mechanics, and the amount of different actions you can do with the character. They're games focused at creative game design and directed by game designers
The main point the GTA or RDR games are their story, graphics, voice acting, anythign related to their big budget. If you're an adult interested in game design creativity you won't have many interest to play these.
Kinda? I skipped smash as well but only because I got burned out by playing the 3DS version a little too much
My most played game on switch is Celeste. Have probably sunk like 200 hours by now. I do care a bit about Smash, but I also know the hype is temporary and im not going to enjoy it as much long term since we've been playing a variation of the same game for like 20 years. The smash I played the most was tied to miiverse, and that was one of the main things that kept it interesting for me. I'd always play on the miiverse stage just for all the drawings and fuckery.
The one thing that has me interested in this update besides joker is the stage builder. Since its in depth enough that it acts like a mini miiverse and they inclueded that 'Yeah' option and uploads. I hope and pray everyday that they bring miiverse back, hopefully with the switch revision later this year.
My gf loves Videogames but even she thinks only manchildren would Play them in public
Miiverse was a resource hog, especially on RAM. You're better off waiting another 2-3 years hoping for a full on switch successor that has at least 12gigs of RAM on a CPU/GPU combo that's at least better than a regular PS4 for it to come back.
I fucking love my switch. Odyssey, BOTW, MK8D, Splatoon 2 alone make it worth the purchase. I like smash for the hype around reveals mostly. Not sure how people can be so into it after playing real fighting games though.
I bought it because you pretty much have to own it. But I don't play it much unless friends are over.
I bet you love ONIONS too
The amount of people in this thread getting mad at OP for not liking their casual soi-tier "fighting" game.
Nah, I don't really feel it either. I enjoy the shit out of 4, but the cross over hype has completely worn off for me. As a fighting game it just doesn't really grab me all that much, and as a party game there's other shit I'd rather play.
>after playing real fighting games though.
How is Pokken Tournament? I haven't a real fighting game since SNES.
Switchfags have more than 1 game
Also Fifa is on Switch why do they need a PS4?
meant for
Things like GTA, COD, FIFA, RDR, are played by normal functional adults - in addition to teenagers, yes, but young adults play them too. Things like Zelda and Mario are mostly played by young children. That's just how it is. I don't make the rules.
I don't care about Smash either. Maybe it's because I have know friends.
>Any rock* game
>COD
>Any popular game
>Played by normal adults
I fucking wish that was the case.
Not only do you not make the rules, you've also entirely failed to describe them in a way that reflects reality
I don't give a fuck about Persona, does that count?
>the My Little Pony defense
It doesn't work.
Sorry but reality is what it is. You can choose to get butthurt about it if you wish. I really don't care.
I give a fuck, but certainly not TWO fucks.
I'll buy it eventually.
Now what I don't give even a single fuck about is Pokémon, Bayonetta, and Fire Emblem.
