Was that one of the ultimate RPG boss battles, or what? Took so much planning, battles and manpower just to stop one man.
>create the party that will take down luca
>tfw have to use replacements because viktor and flik are in different squads
>use viktor, riou and flik most of the time in my party because theyre my favorites
>have to use underlevelled shits for luca blight
>No runes or anything
>He was just too mad to die
I love this shithead
What the fuck was his problem?
my first team was enough to kill him but would go to the next battle if enough damage was done
his dad was weak and gave no fucks about him or his mother
Had to watch his mother get raped over and over again by city state soldiers dressed as bandits as a young kid while his dad ran like a coward. His sister is the result of that gangbang.
>Got hot sister out of it
I'm not seeing the problem here
Luca was the ultimate villian
The fact that the game doesnt end with his fall was dissapointing
Time to go full retard. How would Luca fare if he was transported into GoT or LotR?
>Worship me, worship me
>Now bow down on your knees
>Beg for it, beg for it
>Now piggy say please Piggy say please... oink
Jowy did nothing wrong.
I would have killed him like 3 times earlier, except his units cheats and won't go below 1 health.
Also, I didn't suck, so I beat him in the first ambush.
Same as in Suikoden - would be ganged on and killed
What a madman
youtu.be
To be fair, that was only possible cause his strategist betrayed him.
>beat luca
>think i've completed the game
>only halfway through
I didnt like Jowy as much as a villian though the reunion battle in Matilda against Gorudo was kino.
Shinning Force is a better story!
The problem with Jowy as a villain was it felt like he wasnt really trying. he was just losing territory the whole time all the shit Luca conquered like he was giving it away to Dunan.
Best final boss in any game ever
I can't tell which battle you mean, and whether or not your tastes are shit.
Luca Blight is the best final boss
Who would win between Luca and Lu Bu?
>final
Alright good, now you don't need to suffer the mental trauma of getting your opinion made fun off by someone on the internet. You're welcome.
yes?
Luca. Lu Bu doesn't have too much plot armour, all things considered, while Luca is basically in a plot armor tank.
When you beat him the game is only halfway through. How is it a final boss?
How is he not the final boss when the supposed actual final bosses are A stupid giant wolf or your best friend in a 1 on 1 duel where you win by doing nothing
The rest of the game after Luca Blight is whack a mole minigames and pointlessness
The rest of the game is just anime filler tier. The war literally ended.
>Sneaks into your bedroom at night with a whip
I'd pay 200$ for another 2d suikoden game by the old devs.
>proceeds to slice her not once but twice
was he the best villain in the Suikoden series or were there better? i only played the first 2.
He is the best JRPG villian
Maybe even best videogames villian
3 was ok, you probably remember Luc from the first 2 games, he's the villain in 3. But the gameplay was ass honestly. I dont even remember the villain in 4.
Your opinion on Nanami?
Well, no True Rune anyway.
He used a Rage Rune.
He's also the only boss in the game that can attack three times per turn.
spark slave
didnt care about her death
>wow took 18 of you to kill me lol
Less annoying than lyon but Gremio is still the goty sidekick
To be fair, everything after luca was more personal.
The ending shouldve been jowy alone and nanami dead, not 'everything is okay again'.
>death
Best videogame villain period.
Luca is among the great villains. People will think he's shallow, but you learn of his past too which corrupted him.
He's easy to hate, makes you feel good when you defeat him and has some fucked up backstor.
>rage rune
>used it on himself to make himself stronger instead of using on enemies like the normal rage rune does
>he didn't get sekrit ending
Nanami is a bitch
Luc did nothing wrong.
The problem was that Jowy was facing Shu.
He was doomed since the beginning.
kek what a bitch
There were several times he could've done something but everytime he just pulls back or retreats because lol friendship. One time in muse, one time in matilda.
Greenhill too. it's like he wasnt even trying to win.
Because Jowy was a gigantic pussy. If Luca had been faced with hurting someone he loves at a peace talk he'd probably just have killed her anyway then set fire to the building.
Maybe he didn't. Maybe he just wanted to take leadership so he could minimise the loss and. It activate the Beast Rune ?
>and it wouldn't activate*
So did Jowy ever scored?
Was it because of the nature of the True Runes that Riou and Jowy wielded that pitted them against each other? Jowy was determined to fight even though there were peaceful solutions to consider, was it the influence of the True Runes?
Yeah shield and sword are destined to clash
>repulsed by sex because he saw his mother get raped when he was a child
>cares only for bloodshed
ameriburgers would be proud
>no new suikoden game ever
Was Suikoden IV as bad as people say? I heard it explores an interesting True Rune, but the entire game is hot garbage.
I really liked the way that Suikoden and Chrono Trigger structured their bosses. It felt like entire sections of the game were devoted to them. You're always working up your way to kick their ass only for there to be even more game afterwards, on to the next boss's sub-plot.
Compare that to FF7, which of course is a fantastic game that I think is still better than Suikoden 1/2, where the first section of the game is against Shinra and the rest is against Sephiroth/Jenova pieces. At the end of the game you defeat Shinra, then Jenova, then Sephiroth within minutes of each other instead of taking them out through the course of the game.
Despite being a very long game, longer than Chrono Trigger (maybe Suikoden1/2? I forget), it felt like a straight line to one single goal.
Neclord sub plot in Suikoden 1 and 2 was neat even if it was unrelated to the overall story.
Opposite, the runes were attracted to them because of their destiny'
Because it feels more like an adventure/manga with different stories taking up each chapter with an overarching plot..
FF7 didnt really have anything memorable inbetween.
Suikoden 2 had rebel flik chapter, muse chapter, neclord, gathering armies and support, that school/dorm thing, those skirmishes, etc.
It was to Viktor's and that what makes the Suikoden world building so great : it is based on its characters story and progression.
It's amazing how we all still care about some minor character like Pesmerga.

>he doesn't know
well, it's technically not suikoden (only the director if I remember correctly), but still it's better than nothing.
It is great, when you think of greenhill you think of Nina, shin and teresa. When you think of two river you think of Ridley, Chaco and Fitcher. when you think of the Tinto region you think of the bandit brothers and Sierra and khan.
Every chapter has a new set of characters introduced with their own development and personality. It's really well done.
Why is he so based?
>Wooooooow, it took 100 of you to kill me!
luca was so good that as a result the actual final boss was fucking lame
Why didn't he make any other good game ?
Based Ridley.
Because rune cancer would eventually kill them both if they keep avoiding each other, unless they want to repeat history and seal both of their runes.
>Riou really is a bitch
Tir would have 1v1'd Luca desu
I wish we could have another chaotic wvil villain like Luca. Everything nowdays must be sympathetic in some way, Jesus, just give me someone I would be happy to kill.
