Anus 1800 lmao
it is a good game, you buy, you pray, buy on epic store yes yes
So people keep saying this is SJW shit. Just played a couple hours and don't see how.
>!1! black dude in the game who also used to be a slave
>Black women in this game actually look normal and not like african gorillas
>No SJW shit in the campaign so far
>95% of characters are white
It's made by upisoft so people assume it would be filled with multicult stuff
so hows the campaign? and are there scenarios?
Campaign is very short almost like a tutorial
There are no scenarios
You need to enjoy sandbox
I have a NAT issue and can't play multiplayer, anyone had the same issue? ubi forums are useless.
There's not a single cross in the entire game, not even on churches. There were plenty of those in Anno 1404, even with direct references to christianity in dialogue too.
Does it really matter? They have a church and not a synagogue or mosque.
Given this is Ubisoft the SJW shit could be a whole lot worse.
Cracked yet?
Whats the different between charter and trade route?
Trade route uses your own ships, charter routes hire neutral NPCs to do it
>city builder
nice
>1800 period
yikes into the trash
how is this not on mac. fuck ubigay
Nope. Give it a week or so.
it's industrial revolution period. they called 1800 because blue byte is autisitc
The 1800s is the most interesting period.
this series has never been on mac from the start
rip
How is this different from previous historic Anno games?
Looks pretty much identical imo.
Didn't even get rid of the square grid lmao.
>mac user on Yea Forums
what am I witnessing?
people see sjw in everything, what did you expect

What is the best ship for expedition?
unirinically ship of the line. you need so much slots
I think I gotta restart my campaign since the game didn't fucking teach me how to colonize other islands and I found out how only way later into the game
Should I play the campaign or just go straight for sandbox? The campaign is just a sandbox with some dumb story added to it right?
you unlock some portraits and stuff to play with and you get the ubi achievement points for doing the story which you use on the store for a discount.
If you're a noob play the campaign as it serves as tutorial and leads to sandbox.
is it back to being like 1404?
Gotta wait at least 8 month before piratecucks can play it too. Then we will get a lot of replies. So far based Denuvo is still protecting it and the new version is basically uncrackable.
I can't stop playing Annon, this game is way to comfy.
yep, its actually better than 1404.
GOD DAMN IT I WANT TO BUY IT SO BADLY
But I should just wait for the crack.
General Anno question
Is it better to produce goods n transport it to my main island or transport raw resources to main n produce goods there
give one good reason to support them
>Income shoots to -300 or -500
>Occasionally darts up to +150 or +200 for a few brief seconds
What the fuck is going on I'm hemorrhaging money
I don't care about supporting them. I just want to play the game.
your population is reacting to the needs you're providing, or lack thereof. if they dont have needs met your population starts declining and you lose workforce, production, and money.
Stop playing Anno 1800 and start playing Workers & Resources: Soviet Republic.
City skylines meets Factorio.
crack when ?
Another Anno thread being shit up by the same handful of questions again.
who /quaint/ here
It's much, much better to ship goods around in the long run, trust me.
finally, a true game for true proletariat
favourite game of Skylines is OVER! It is bourgeois propaganda and probably made with the labor of underpaid workers, is shit quality. Workers & Resources: Soviet Republic is my FAVOURITE GAME now!
Ah yes, I see you man of tastes too.
Reminder that 2070 was a good game
Mechanically yes but it was ugly (for Anno standards) and the constant environmental messages were fucking annoying.
It was. And while 1800 is better, I hope 2205 didn't ruin the chances of another future one. I hope there's a 2106.
Nah it was soulless.
What type of game is this? I'm interested.
A production chain simulator. Fill demands to tier up to build more to fill more demands of higher tiers. Bonus points for some comfy city building and naval combat,
>people still making circular efficient cities
Thanks. So something like a mix of city skylines / Sim city and age of empires?
i thought circle cities were no longer needed for efficiency
Based German autism
nihoel.github.io
Kind of. Anno has always been about efficiency in the layouts, maximizing space and productivity. Or you can ignore it all and build pretty and comfy, both work honestly.
I like to role-play and ship raw goods to my main island where the heavy industry and elite workers live.
they're not but that's not gonna stop turbo min maxers from creating soulless towns with all the stuff in the center again.
That sounds appealing. I want a new game like this.
1404 and 2070 with mods are better if you want to design a beautiful island with lots of extras, doodads and whatnot. 1404 even has walls and land combat, whereas 2070 has air combat, subamarines and underwater bases. 1800 has trains, tropical paradise and pies that smell GURT LUSH
1006 when bros
>Doesn't add up to 9.
Try again.
9 B.C. when?
Appreciate it. Hmm I'm unsure which one's I'd try then. Could probably pirate the others whereas the new one I'd have to buy.
1080 AD when bros?
Try the period that interests you most. Age of sail? 1404, 1701 and 1800 for Victorian/colonial era. Future? 2070. Want to land on the moon? 2205.
Start with 1404, it's on gog so easy pirate.
Game is so stingy with stuff to socket into Trade Unions/Town Halls. Can only ever find the same few shitty ones at traders. Has a few decent ones from inhabitant quests but that's a really unreliable way to get them.
SEED THE GOD DAMN TORRENT AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
>your factory have exploded
>a fire started in your city
>Fuckwit started a war with you
>destroy those ships under strict time limits
>your workforce started a revolt
i just wanted comfy goddamn
>public
>Game hasn't even been cracked yet and won't be for weeks.
Keep seething poorfags.
Build things further apart. You're penalized for building super close now with increased fire chance. Destroy missions have a 30m time limit though, what are you doing where your flagship isn't available for 30 minutes? Or even just a frigate.
you can ignore all of those.
>won't be for weeks.
tommorow.
i'm never gonna finish the campaign because i keep ignoring the objectives and building parks instead. send help.
tick tock cuck
>tommorow.
Nah weeks, scene has already confirmed that it's going to be a long wait given the complexity of Denuvo's implementation and finding all the content triggers to patch within a sandbox game.
How does it compare to 1404? What about 1503?
I don't dig the 1800's a huge amount because I'm not English and obsessed with the time period, but if the game-play is stellar I can get behind it and 1503 is...dated now.
that crazy psychopath NPC wiped my island within 3 hours of the campaign start.
Game definitely got harder compared to 1404
So, it's good?
Not really sure how involved Ubi is with the development. They are definitely involved with addition of unnecessary fuckery (uplay store ornaments tab, season pass, etc), but not with the creation of the actual game. Quality of the game is way too high to be meddled with by Ubi.
It's very similar to 1404 mechanics wise, just with a few key changes to labour. Buildings now require workers to be on that island, or to build a port. That port tanks happiness of the workers so you're better off dividing your labour on islands, or keeping things together.
Old world and New world are also on seperate maps so they don't interact quite like the Orient does in 1404. It's good though.
Playing Tycoons is fun because you can burn fossil fuels and have a gritty industrial city, but Eco cities are quality aesthetic. I think it's best to have a mix though, especially for eco energy generation to complement nuclear power. Nothing beats 1404 decorated cities centred on a cathedral though.
>overpriced fixed menu that you can barely alter
>all additions cost ridiculous amounts of money
vs
>modular
>can be as expensive or cheap as you want
>can mix and match different 'ingredients' and make it as healthy or unhealthy as you want
Yeah great analogy. How retarded is he exactly?
All Anno games are great. we don't talk about 2205
Love it, but
>park surrounded by farmer's houses
Luxurious facilities such as parks are reserved for the elite user.
This.
The Farmers and Workers must be in crippling misery while the Investors live in luxury.
yeah that was my newest part of town when is using all the new park pieces i unlocked. those farmers have ascended to upper class and eat all the god damn bread, sausage, beer, and canned food. they're total assholes now.
How many of these are there?

Oh god please tell me it's not another one of those games that runs like shit and has an ugly blue filter on everything
good
Am I the only one who just hated the Orient? Like the whole setting just pissed me off, the desert, the noria stuff, the Vesir. Caribbeans are sooo much better, I really enjoy the buildings, islands and setting.
That's funny considering fruit is just balls of sugar and isn't healthy at all, probably why he's a fatass
It's really a shame that 2070 got review bombed, it has a lot going for it. I say if you wanna play Anno, 1800 and 2070 is all you need for two different directions of the same game series.
i liked the orient it wa
YOUR WATER SUPPLIES ARE RUNNING OUT
YOUR WATER SUPPLIES ARE RUNNING OUT
Runs like a charm
No blue filter
Soulful.
What other game that does this other than Stronghold 1/Crusader and Anno?
Noiras made the orient way too easy, you could cheese them super hard to mass produce stuff.
Nice, guess it's just an ugly screenshot. Phew
Anno also wishes you merry christmas and happy new year, also changes the look of the market place, adding christmas trees and stuff.
epic exclusive = pirate it
I remember that from 1404, it was a really cool addition. Does 2070 do it as well?
I believe 2070 gives you a Happy christmas message, but not changing the marketplace.
>It's on steam
???
I don't think it was that annoying. The whole plot is because of global warming, yeah. But despite there being two factions, the AI was on a spectrum. You had the extremist Tycoons who hijack your oil ships and give zero fucks about the environment despite it having helped destroy the planet, and then you have the extremist Ecos who get violent toward you because you're polluting, and then you have the ones in the middle who have their preferences but are willing to deal with you despite being on the other faction. Also they seemed to poke fun at the vegan food your Ecos prefer.
more like Uplay exclusive
dumb nigger
Is it just me or are the islands pretty small even on large? Really samey too. Struggling to find a decent island for my main city.
it uses uplay dear user.
It has to do with the difficulty in previous games. Easier = large, flat islands with lots of mines.
damn I wish my favourite franchise stood the test of time like Anno.
its not even a screenshot, retard. its clearly prmotional art
It's pretty fucking incredible that it survived atrocious DRM, horrible and inconsistent naming in the west, changes in developers, Ubisoft in general, a completely irredeemable game, and still lives today.
It warms my heart that a random ass PC game my mom bought me in 2000 still lives in 20 years later.
>just release the same game but change the time period
works every time
Black & White does it, then after a few more hours it will start quietly whispering your name making you think you are legit going insane.
it was on steam now its only on epic and uplay
Anno 1404 best Anno. But 1503 and 1701 are quality too.
only for a year. like metro and every other epic "exclusive"
>Anno 1404 best Anno
not any more, annon.
I hope the new Settlers will be good.
not him but 1404 = 1800
doesn't apply to
Stronghold
Empire Earth
and many other
etc
Why is no one posting cities?
I haven't played anno since 1602. I'm currently on my fourth attempt to not go broke after my citizens reach the third level, whatever its called.
I'm having fun, but you got any tips?
I don't want others to saw my atrocious clusterfuck of barely working mess.
btfo
Still is.
fulfill the needs of your people
set trade roads
It's still weird as fuck to have churches with no crosses on them dude.
HMMM, a game happening in the times of the crusades, and dealing in European expansion, features crosses? Weird.
Not only is it wrong that 1800 has none, but a game focusing on the industrial revolution doesn't seem obligated to spout Christianity everywhere.
Besides, where the cross on this cathedral from Anno 1503?
I can't deal with this anymore bros, I'm buying it, I'm sorry
When will it be on sale
>he thinks christianity is some stuff that happened in the crusades and was abandoned afterwards
It's a church, put some crosses on them. It's the new world, let me spread the word of christ. Not only is the complete and utter lack of it ridiculous, the timeframe is even notorious for its missionary work and foundation of modern religion.
I bought it when I shouldn't have bought it
so buy it so I shouldn't feel bad.
Pirate it instead, user. If you really want to play it, pay what it costs or own up to not wanting to pay what it costs.
Theres several crosses on that cathedral though, even some religious imagery above the entrance.
It's ubisoft, you can expect a 33%off on uplay in 2 months and a 50%off in 4.
That's the most ridiculous paraphrase I've yet been subjected to.
I'm saying that it is entirely within reason for them to display crosses prominently in 1404, but the developers didn't actually do it in any of the other games, and it's not like actual cathedrals and churches all have crosses everywhere, even if some of them do.
>a game focusing on Europe at the time of fully integrating the new world shouldn't even mention christianity
You people know fucking nothing about religion and history.
>game was $50 on official key sites like GMG
>release day
>"This product will not be available again until one year, after EGS exclusivity ends"
So apparently that deal also fucks key sites. I'm so glad EGS is coming in and providing competition so we can pay more for our games than we used to. Of course I'd just buy the Uplay version, but you can't even get Uplay keys cheap like you would if it didn't have some exclusivity deal.
They should at least have some christian references on the expeditions to be fair. I get that the game is pseudo-historic and basically a fantasy world but there's nothing wrong with implementing it.
I'm not saying there wouldn't be religious imagery. Or that you can't spot a cross if you squint.
I'm saying user is a goon for thinking the prominent presence of that symbol has much of anything to do with accurate portrayal of western societies, or that the absence of it would somehow be a new SJW-imposed take on the ANNO franchise.
>dumb allied cunt declare war on other
>never show up to help during the war once
Another paraphrase. Brilliant.
Keep shooting them strawmen.
I get that the expeditions could do with it. Missionary work in Africa and South America was kind of a big deal, but if it's not the story they want to tell, it's not the story they want to tell.
Christianity was absolutely everywhere in that timeframe, it's an integral part of western culture. One of the very first things they would build on an island in the new world would be some kind of religious building to house all the missionaries.
>Keep shooting them strawmen.
>immediately agrees with the notion of missionary work being a big deal at that time
You just want to be contrarian.
It's not a drawing or something made with its own modeling, it's a literal screencap of the game with added filters.
Retard.
Again.
I am NOT saying that Christianity wasn't present.
I am saying that the cross symbol isn't important at all to the focus of the game.
Is Wizard Barristers worth a watch?
You guys have some weird obsession, you must be fun at parties.
I never disagreed.
There was clearly a strawman being killed in telling me "You people know fucking nothing about religion and history." if agreeing with you on that matter is all it takes to know something about religion and history.
We're the best.
Don't put on a song from 1988 at one of our '90s parties though.
this seems like a really mediocre city builder honestly. too much focus on making multiplayer and dumb quests and boat stuff rather than just on city building and trade.
Why can't they just add the cross on those churches? It breaks immersion if I don't see a cross on a church or around European settlements.
Omitting the cross symbol entirely (and no, I don't count two tiny crosses you can barely make out fully zoomed in next to half a dozen other graves) in religious context (a fucking church) is simply bizarre.
Anno has always been the gold standard for city builders, you seem very misinformed.
Making a small animation for dolphins swimming around isn't important at all to the focus of the game either, yet it's there for immersions sake and because it fits the setting.
Evidently not, when a large chunk of your gameplay isn't even about city building. Maybe that was different for other annos, but this one definitely not
What type of cross do you want in your fictional world?
Greek, latin, byzantine, patriarchal, double, lorraine, papal, salem, tau-rho, labarum, stepped, jerusalem, ringed?
Anno focus isn't city building, it's primarily a ressources management game.
Well they're clearly going for a european or even downright british setting here.
THAT is what breaks your immersion?
Not all settlement churches had visible crosses, and quite few ANNO games feature a bunch of crosses. But that breaks your immersion.
Not the fact that sooty settlers build perfectly straight roads that only curve with 90-degree german efficiency?
It might be a little weird, and sure, Ubisoft might have told Blue Byte that they didn't want to get in trouble with anyone for letting white overlords live out their dreams of religious imperialism. during the scramble for Africa.
Though I'm not sure this was ever an intent in the first place, seeing how respecful and funtional the meetings with foreign cultures generally present themselves in the franchise in the past.
Even in 1404, you didn't actually murder the arabs to get the holy grail and the ark of the covenant, or anything like that. You traded with them.
So the focus in 1800 likewise isn't on the conflicts in that regard, but on the effeciency of expansion. It's much more likely that this is how germans would LIKE to remember it all as having happened, not that they're forced to NOT display the truth.
And in "Europe" all of the crosses user mentioned are scattered all over the place.
This game is like the most racist game of this year. spics need steady supply of tortillas and ponchos
>AI want to join allied
>they do nothing but bring you extra trouble by picking a fight with the biggest guy around forcing you to join there fight
>dont join
>they all gang up on you
and whiteoids will happily slave away for you in factories if you give them cheap schnapps and some fat sausages
It's their favorite things, so what can you do.
Remember in 1701 when aristocrats lost their shit if they didn't get enough tobacco and apricots?
Pretty racist desu.
>Not the fact that sooty settlers build perfectly straight roads that only curve with 90-degree german efficiency?
Actually I dislike this too, but I can understand the game design restriction here whereas a cross on a church shouldn't be too much work.
Missionary work at that time was exceptionally peaceful compared to every other religion though.
Yeah, and again, I will agree that it doesn' take work, but it takes a decision of visual and contextual focus. And it likewise shouldn't take much work for you to imagine the cross there.
>tfw dreamt about getting attacked by ships of the line after playing Anno 1800 for 6 hours straight
starting campaign on expert was a mistake
Predominantly, yes.
But seeing as missionary work isn't even tangentially included in the game mechanics, I think they'd rather omit the promise of it entirely.
Is this game going to drive all the OCD autists into suicide?
Sounds like a pretty cool dream thoug, aniki.
Can I run this on a potato macbook?
On the whole removal of the cross thing: If you look at religious /secular legislation in the world today, lots of places either ban public crosses or societal pressure forces people to remove them from public spaces (China, Middle East) through threats of violence. Western Europe may see similiar laws or pressure in the coming decades. I think progressive video game designers want to pursue a secularised version of history, and that's why the crosses got removed.
>60$
>barely a campaign
>no scenarios
WHAT WERE THEY THINKING?
No.
Maybe?
Every church had a cross. It does break my immersion.
It was not cool and Artur Gasparov is a fucking dickhead ok
They were thinking proper franchise revival i general, now that Ubisoft didn't succeed in outright destroying it, unlike most of their other heavy hitters.
Will there one day be anno civilization game?
Where you can progress all the way from colonized/middle age all the way to modern/futuristic age
Haha. Haha.
HELP ME HOW DO I UPGRADED MULTIPLE HOUSE AT ONCE?!?!
Shift U
The dumb part is that it upgrade every house
Hold and drag?
Haven't played it yet.
In the older games you had to make building materials available to your citizens over at the market place. Then they'll upgrade by themselves once their demands are met and materials are available. Maybe this is still a thing.
there is an upgrade tool in the build menu. Also builds blueprints or rebuilds burnt down houses
there's an upgrade button in the circular menu, use it and it will show all houses available to upgrade and you can drag and choose
IMAGINE BEING AT COMPUTERS
Aaaa
Buy or wait buy or wait buy or wait
I believe it was called Age of Empires.
Joking aside, several of the games that sought to ape AoE did do exactly what you describe, with letting you continue into several future eras.
Not him but from what I've seen the game progressively gets more and more demanding as you keep building shit. My game ran flawlessly on my 2012 laptop but by about an hour or two into the game I was setting everything to minimal settings and still chugging. Runs great on my $2k desktop tho
I really hope this is not the case because it's fucking disgusting and sounds like another scheme to eliminate white culture.
Rise of nations is excellent.
There's an extended edition on steam making it compatible with modern OS
Really is a cool game.
I wnet searching for some of the other knock-offs from the times, but their names were so bland and derivative I can't remember. And now the mobile and browser developers are putting all the same words together in completely nonsense ways, so I can't find anything.
You could turn off auto ascension, recommended to control and shape your city
Wouldn't white culture be paganism? Not something brought over from the Middle East?
Or you could say culture changes over time. White people are now the most secular so this actually makes it more representative. 1800 was arguably late enlightenment.
>christianity
>white culture

I loved it, and the music was beautiful.

I just want Anno but more emphasis on combat, but don't call it Anno
Dude scnapps and hemp lmao
Lol, now imagine trying to introduce this game when your language is Spanish and Anno literally sounds like the order for anus.
>losing 500 gold constantly
How the fuck do I get a positive balance? I'm meeting my dudes' needs and everything.
Tax em
Somehow ships and islands were extremely unfitting for a future scenario.
Probably too much unneeded infrastructure
Is Megacorp any good? I haven't played anything but militaristic xenophile humans and a hivemind once. Looking to do some trading or something.
Reduce that to two weeks after release, denuvo is weak these days
build more dudes.
You need a pretty large city to pay the upkeep of multiple steel works, etc.
Megacorps suck dick desu, diplomacy also sucks. Get Glavius AI and keep playing non-diplomatic empires.
Booze, enough to feed the continent

Crack now!
If you can supply me with 2 binary codes and one computer per minute i'll send you a crack
How many regions are there? Are there two different themed builds you can make like in 1404?
So from that point on you can just play in the tropics or do you still have to go back to shitty england or whatever?
>Couldn't play much because had to study
>Town is very narrow and focused on learning the mechanics again
>Don't have the heart to tear down the whole city to build the double wide streets I wanted.
two regions with more to come with season pass
There will be a third arctic region soon, they are all distinct with different buildings, people and needs
>sit down to play the campaign for an hour or two before doing other stuff
>13 hours later, go to bed
I havent had this much pure fun with a game in ages now.
Fucking love it / 10.
Was obvious since the first beta that they will be selling regions as DLC
How can you afford $60 for a game?
Nigger you don't get how Anno plays. You want every single piece of land you can get to raise production and to make more gold. Land is literally what matters most. Put your entire industry in england, let those factories fuck everyone up and live in the tropics like a king but fucking use it for world domination.
your england lads will demand stuff that you can only build down there
i guess you can focus on only the guys down there,
but they dotn have as many stages as the real map guys
How can you not?
I'm on benefits.
Arctic is ok but what kind of other region will they sell? In Anno 2205 the regions on earth were boring as fuck.
Condolences.
Medical or jobseeking?
Parental.
Is this game on Steam or Epic?
Well hey, at least that one doesnt come with governmental forms and hoops to leap through.
Just save up a bit nigga.
If you're not in the US then you can get money off on Uplay by spending achievement points, too.
Its like 20% off.
Uplay, Steam (if you preoreder), and epic.
But Steam and epic will both just force the uplay launcher anyway.
>alternative facts

This timeline is getting really weird. The whole world is going nuts.
Dumb weeb. You always wind up needing a ton of wheat farms. Way more than you would need mills.
Cohh just got the palm tree island
The ratio is 2:1:3, he build 2:1:1.
chupa mi dongola
press u, click on a house and hold, then draw the recktangle over the shit you want to upgrade

South america sucks.
You also need a lot more wheat to make beer.
he doesn´t have hops on the island
You don't need hops fertility to make wheat or barley.
Don't forget to get the free asscreed game
>make little farmer island for bell peper and potatoes
>just some farmers with all the fish, clothes and schnapps they could ever dream of
>they're all happy and ready to upgrde if I wanted them to
>miscalculated how much schnapps I could ship out to the main island so the farmers run out of it for maybe 10 minutes
>they start a fucking riot
>actually have to build a police station in some backwater shithole full of drunk, happy peasants
Introducing my population to schnapps was a fucking mistake
>you must be fun at parties.
so real
how often do you get to use this pic because of your horrid personality?
This sounds like the birth of Canada
Its a fucking nightmare keeping enough alcohol production going for even a moderately sized island, and as soon as they run out your taxes fucking plummet.
Shouldn't have deprived your hardworking folk from their beer, bitch.
build steamships.
>more effeminate "insults"
>on an anonymous imageboard
Why do you think it would in some way alter or stop me if you say I have a horrid personality? Your female tactics of trying to tarnish reputation in the eyes of others doesn't work here. Next you're going to tell me I'm "unstable", "creepy", and/or "making you feel unsafe".
no, you are simply autistic
Schnapps, beer, rum and clothing are all killers. You always need tons of the stuff to keep up the constantly growing workforce. It eats up so much space before too long.
>play expert
>everyone is completely deaf to diplomacy and will sooner or later declare war on you
Just like real life.

This blatant misuse of LEBENSRAUM is making me angry.

Do y'all have any recommended VODs of this without obnoxious streamers mouthbreathing over the game? Want to get a feel before I buy in.
>Do y'all have
Talk properly.
How to deal with pirates?
I don't have enough of a fleet to burn down their island, but what I have isn't fast enough to deal with all the pirate canonboats running all over the map like cockroaches
How is it possible that I'm always always ALWAYS sailing directly into the wind? And why does the wind always have to be so damn strong?
Wind direction is the worst thing to happen to Anno.
Have you tried diplomacy?
Ask for cease-fire n pay them
>20k for an 1-hour ceasefire
>The tropical nigger demands even more
No, the money all belongs to me!
what's your problem?
Just get steamers fgt.
I can't get over the ortogonal street shapes and offset buildings
offset buildings contain soul, why do you want it to look like a commieblock?
I have 8GB of ram and game stutters like hell. is 12 going to be enough?
Fuck off???
So has anyone fucked their sister yet, the main goal of the game?
I don't like this. They tried it in 2205, with Tundra. Since the main maps already get everything they need as the game is balanced around old world/new world, this new arctic map won't provide anything exclusive that your population needs. It'll just end up being reskined ressources.
They can't even make some ressources exclusive to arctic and create new needs for populations cause not everyone will have the dlc. So it will just be another comfy map that's entirely skippable.
I have 8 as well and don't have any problems.
What's your CPU?
>pirate anno 1800
>literally 70% of characters are womyn, black, spic, etc.
>everyone exists together in harmony
>Literally making a game set in the 1800s and pretending racism doesn't exist and never existed
>Yea Forums threads filled with people supporting this and pretending it's not a problem
SJWs have won and we're supposed to applaud?
yep, gamergate was a catastrophic defeat
Get used to the new world friend
>like a commieblock
more like every building in any part of the world that has some sort of urban plan
I shipped a full flagship fleet from the old world as soon as tropical nigger pulled his shit on me. Fine, you destroyed one of my trading ships. Now I'm fucking you up with Europe's might.
What is that? You want a ceasefire? And expect me to pay 60k for it?
Nigga I'm fucking you up.
Eh, I can see a few ways to make it work. Like making a victory condition tied to it(finding the northwest passage), or making a start-of-game option that changes needs to require goods from the arctic. Plus you can get more stuff for your museums and exhibitions from there.
Come to think of it, that's probably why the N. Africa-ish place is on the world map. Egyptology, finding the source of the Nile and so on.
Who /keeps restarting/ brainlet here?
I kept losing until I Realized you need to be all over the luxury goods. Once you give your people booze you make more money.
Guilty, keep getting to early engineers then restarting. Get too obsessed with moving production off my main island that I just get shortages and then can't be bothered to put the time in to fix them,
Story of my fucking life.
That and I hate my town layouts in general.
The latter is a problem I end up having in any city building game.
I was hoping it wouldn't bother me was much in a less creative-oriented builder like this but fuuuuck.
I think I'm gonna restart a game without pirates or AI enemies, the game starts so comfy but once you have to manage 5 islands, while 3 enemies annoy you and pirates run wild it becomes really stressful
Anno is quite simple once you understand you need to take time to upgrade.
Sitting with +1900 income with a gold pool of 300k, old world almost done with artisan (just built zoo) and new world reached tier 2.
Everytime you make a big change to your islands, give it time before you do more. One step at a time, make sure population is always happy with needs and luxury, then sit on it a while.
Worst thing you can do is rush development and build shot constantly. You'll run short of workforce and will be fucked.
>finally looked up how to settle another island because the AI is cucking me and I thought the game would eventually teach me how to
>setup beer production
>went from struggling to not lose money to having several thousand in income
Yeah, my next start, I'm gonna focus on a shitload of schnapps production for early trade too.
Also fuck this fucking guy. I fucking can't wait to destroy him.
They did a good job on the AI personalities and their ability to build desu. Watching their towns grow as you grow your own is kind of fascinating. They're using a pretty good procedural algorithm it seems.
I tried not rushing to stream age
and one of the big AI some how did just that and then start bullying you with his shiny stream ships
>Take it slow in the old world which delays my New World start
>Get around to settling in the new world
>Suddenly Gasparov rolls up with a massive fleet he had hanging around the new world for some reason and blows me the fuck out
Fuck the AI
Didn' happen to me. Got two lvl1 ai and the lvl2 free nigger, and while the latter has a massive fleet and just destroys pirates everywhere, we have a trade agreement so he doesn't bug me. Working on alliance with him atm. Slow process but getting there.
>Anno thread
>not even 10 posts in
>and it's fucking politics
Wow... this level or retardness is killing me.
When /pol/tards bray about thin-skinned snowflakes, they're really just projecting.
You can literally buy if off the ubi store for like 25 bucks.
desu I like this jew dude
cause the dumb cunt and the nigger that always get mad at you when you "filtered" my newspaper, but then are like the weaker country compare to mine and that dude
when the cunt propose for an allied I was like ok
but then she start a war with that empire dude and I end up having to clean up her mess
>tfw took me 10 hours to realise I could load earlier saves
>new world island gets sick once
>diminishes the workforce so badly the entire island has been crippled for an hour
>can't get things back into the green
>press tries to smear me so make fake news
>tencent whore gets pissed every time I use propaganda
>can't produce enough rum now
>old world getting pissed
>they, too, are now refusing to work
aaaand that's how things fall apart at the 10-hour mark due to one random incident.
Welp. Time to start over.
this game can seriously fuck you if you aren't careful, it's a bit surprising given city builders are supposed to be comfy. I actually struggled with this game, and I am an elite gamer
>make fake news
Careful with the fake news too. Farmers and Workers are too uneducated and stupid to notice it but it seriously pisses Artisans and higher off. I had the fuckers start a massive riot on me.
Has Anno ever been serious about depicting the darker sides of history?
Escorts, long-range coastal defences and patrols can help. Or even just using frigates to trade with. It does get pretty bothersome if the pirate hideout is in a bad position (for you) and your islands are far apart though.
Was only in the beta but I liked how pretty hat girl built very nice tree-dotted villages while the others went more traditionalist griddy.
I don't have it yet but:
>Producing goods in situ requires you have the infrastructure for workers
>Shipping them to your homeland requires you have the infrastructure for workers there.
Like the other two anons said, better to ship raw materials there. That's what they did in RL too.
I wouldn't go past workers, at max artisans, for a non main island.
After muh 504BC - or 108BC. Greece fits the naval theme better but Rome will let us have the best buildings.
The map at present has Old world, New world Americas, Arctic, and a deserty climate to the south-east. The other option they can add would be the Far East which would be less climate (though it'd have rice paddies and so on) and more building/population. They could have North America too but it'd be the same climate as old world with just colonist populations.
>I wouldn't go past workers, at max artisans, for a non main island.
It's assuaged when you hit steam it seems with the pier that lets you move workforce around between islands.
Which is pretty cool.
Puzzle motherfucking Pirates did this, game told you that 'you've been playing for a couple hours now, you should probably get up and stretch, maybe go for some fresh air'
Shit was pretty gud.
Oh hell I forgot about that, good point. In that case the other two anons did still recommend not doing in situ and I assume they have the game and steam-power. In that case I'd think having the production building right next to the resource site is a good idea.
mobile games in general have this, mostly because some countries require it
I feel like this game was made with a lot of love.
I'm pretty startled that an Ubisoft published game feels like this.
Don't your citizens hate having to commute for work?
>/pol/ boogeyman
You have to go back.
I dont know yet, maybe!
I haven't had the chance to use it yet. Wouldnt surprise me if they took a small hit depending on how far.
According to reddit it has a pretty big unhappiness malus. Which sucks because I love making mega cities fed by the rest of the map.
Anno was always known for being difficult and small accidents turning into catastrophes.
>and I am an elite gamer
>and I am an elite gamer
Holy shit this thread really makes me want to buy this game. It looks so comfy.
I am done waiting for a crack I need this game. How is Uplay doing on regional locks these days, if I get a russian key and I proxy through life will I have a problem?
Managed to get out of the hole and things are comfy again. But man that comfiness really is a house of cards though. One little slip up and it's a chain reaction of fuckery. I have an all new respect for people who try to run actual countries. This shit can get stressful.
Russian VPN, put Anno 1800 in cart, apply 20% ubishit discount, pay 1599 ruble
Yep, bend the knee and accept the rainbow pill
It's usually the people below the top who do the actual work. Just like how most real management is done by the secretary and not the boss.
How do I get that discount if this is literally the only ugame thing I own
>all this effort to avoid giving the trannies at ubisoft an extra coffee
Based and leaderpilled
ascreed unity is free rn niggy
>most real management is done by the secretary and not the boss.
AC Unity is free right now, if you get achievements maybe you'll have enough for a discount
Where and how. it's $60 on mine. I'd pay $25 for it.
Management, actual management, is not 'providing inspiring leadership' or 'synergizing company aspects' or other buzzwords. It's the boring stuff of making sure there's enough workers for each shift, making sure you've paid the suppliers and other boring, mundane daily tasks that need to be done and are inevitably shoved off onto a peon so the boss doesn't have to do it.
What's the site that allows you to check regional pricing all at once for vidya? My VPN doesn't have Russian servers so I have to find the next cheapest
Russian VPN, put Anno 1800 in cart, apply 20% ubishit discount, pay 1599 ruble
>Empire Earth
If you have enough to counteract it it should be fine. Embrace becoming the industrial tyrant. Union busting police on every streetcorner.
When you remember how they'd not have all the information we do it makes you appreciate it even more. Stuff like unemployment indexes, reliable information on expenditures and production rates.
>counting exercise and travel and PERSONAL APPOINTMENTS as part of their workweek
Reminds me when the WSJ presented a bunch of sad looking average Americans to represent some 2010~ tax plan and they all were making +100,000 a year.
Eh, countries tend to sort themselves out. Even a complete clusterfuck like e.g. the USSR functioned relatively alright as a country, in spite of the staggering ineptitude of its leadership, because something like half its economy was a black market that simply filled the void the government's mismanagement left. Every human being is an individual node in the system and they can figure pretty much everything out on their own after a bit of dicking around.
The only truly critical purpose of government is just to stop people from killing each other when they have conflicts. And I guess to stop other governments from coming over to kill people, or stop itself from being supplanted by another government that wants to kill people... well, you get the idea.
No such luck in logistics games though. There you gotta micromanage everything, and if you fuck up there's no spontaneously-generated black market there to fill the essential void you just made.
>EE
based
EE2 AND 3 FAGS NEED NOT APPLY
AOC expansion is welcome though
Do I need a fake russian address?
>Chinese dislike that you use propaganda.
Sure game.
>Eh, countries tend to sort themselves out. Even a complete clusterfuck like e.g. the USSR functioned relatively alright as a country
You should see what's going on in Venezuela at the moment.
Im having lots of fun with Anno 1800,
but how the literal fuck is this comfy.
Im at engineers and I already have to manage like 4 islands, the fourth being in the new world.
Currently want to restructure my industries and move my iron industries to an iron rich island I just bought. But having no play-while-paused is making this a pain.
Also fuck pirates, can I roll over them once I have my Battle Cruisers ready.
i really don't know where to look but after the 1800 beta i really enjoyed this type of game, but now that i'm waiting for a possible crack i was searching everywhere for a decent torrent of 2070 to try that one out, no luck on rarbg where the torrents aren't safe apparently
>tfw cant play 1800 on max settings
>tfw mediumlet
it hurts
i cant justify getting a new comp and buying a 2070, they cost as much as a flagship card did 2 generations ago
Play 1404 instead, it's close thematically.
Performance doesn't really matter in games like these. Pump that shit to the max. Even 20fps is fine.
Well... they done fucked up. But if all the work of not fucking up was really on their shoulders then there wouldn't be anti-government protests and stuff, there'd just be a bunch of dead people, killed by the negative feedback loop, like what essentially happens in management games when you fuck up.
try 1503 its fun or 1701 or 1404 there all good
it does if i cant fucking pan my screen without having a slideshow
i still need to be able to use the interface and shit
Religion is evil.
>tfw pc died a while ago and I'm too poor for a new one
>stuck on my shitty 3 year old laptop
>all settings on low
At least this stuff still runs smooth for me, but I really wanna play it on higher settings
I want to play it but there's no torrent
It's not even cracked yet.
I bought a key from russia and activated it in Uplay, now the game only allows me to install it in russian or chinese, help bros,
kek, btfo
>make 18k plus
>dont make beer and schnapps surplus anymore for export to main island
>drops to 4k plus
Ok just how fucking much money do these fuckers waste on alcohol?
So the only thing the deluxe edition gets you is literally one extra character to play against? That's it?
Happiness increases taxes, but a lot of your deficit will come from Royal Taxes. I'm paying fucking 6k in royal taxes.
Does the game make it super obvious when you're ready to go to the new world?
Just curious. I'm pretty damn early game right now, only just got 150 workers.
As soon as you get Artisans you should have an expedition open up to go to the new world.
All of it. You try working twenty hour shifts in the steel works and staying sober.
Do you guys do anything with the happiness surplus from supplying luxuries? You get +20 citizen happiness from farmers for example, should you trade that in for more worker productivity pushed to -20 citizen happiness to keep it even?
Is the deluxe edition worth it?
Plz crack
You can do it with the flagship pretty much, just take some bread with you
fuck no, they throw festivals if they're happy, which has even more ridiculous bonuses
rekt. But at least you got those sweet, sweet savings.
Time to learn vodka, comrade.
Hol up, no denuvo? On a jewbisoft game?
Denuvo+VMProtect+Ubisoft's own shit.
I second this, I want only whites in my city builders.
Could've guessed.
I found a decent torrent of 1404 gold edition. Time to get comfy
What do I do with the "Hunting" modifier for expeditions? Is there a NPC I have to buy somewhere or load my ship with a certain good?
They cracked AssCreed Greece with that stuff but then never cracked any of the patches and DLC for it even though they're pretty worthwhile
I also slipped my big juicy fat cock in
It's a pain in the ass since you essentially gotta do it from scratch every time, they're waiting for july when all the dlc will finally be out before cracking it again, just like with Origins.
Get the IAAM mod too, it adds a bunch of extra stuff to build and balances a bunch of mechanics. Main thing is it lets you build comfy cities with lot more variety in items to use.
is your starting island in the campaign the same in every campaign
Has it been cracked yet?
Some goods help with that. Bricks for example. Why? No fucking clue. That's how it was in the beta.
yeah that island doesn't change
>extremely loud bell
-50% workforce
>-25% maintenance
>works on all production buildings
>buying an island kills off all the previous stuff
reeeeee seriously?
I might look into this later, but I don't wanna bother with compatibility stuff now and I'll just run it vanilla for now, but ty! Also really wish the beta let you take hudless screens, what a shame
looks like I am royally fucked
guess I'll have to buy the game twice damn you UBISOFT DAMN YOUUUUUUU
Load up your ship with goods. Beer, weapons, sails, wood, bricks, bread. Which ever your expedition requires. I haven't figured out which one gives Force yet, seems to elude me.
Is there no refunding on uplay?
Just learn Russian
>Multicultural stuff
Oh God, nooooooooooooo
There is a postcard view in every single Anno after 1404. It limits your camera height but it's hudless. There's also a 1st person view in 1800 which you can walk around your city in and take in the sights from street level.
>none of the avatars are player-exclusive
Triggers my autism mildly to be honest.
The tooltips for your resources tell you what stat they give. But only in the expedition menu
im not a ruskie but i know russian to a degree where i could play it, did you activate it already? if not bls gib, at least you'll make an user happy [email protected]
based poorfag
>Wanting to keep stuff the A.I. built
Are you sure you want that user?
I did not know that, but at some point I used this camera thing, but I was amazed at how hard the game sucked me in where I realized each time I played it that 3-4 hours were gone like nothing and I kept thinking just a bit more, just a bit more, rofl
I'd rather learn chinese tbqh
I bought it from a retail to be cheeky
It's activated already and in my main account so it's a no go my poorfag friend
I just dont want to build up another town from scratch. Just grab their stuff and export it.
more or less, but im getting anno 1800 in the future when they release all the extra content for sure, cuz i want to experience the online with a friend
>Learn chinese
Someone post the pic.
good luck user
G R I D
Even Notre Dame doesnt have a cross....
Cool sauce, pasta and ravioli for you all
don't worry I'd learn it secretly and only reveal myself as a fluent chinese speaker when there is a war and they win
There actually is a cross in the game. It's on the hat of the zoo peddler. She's Black.
I havent bought the game but it doesnt have curved roads does it?
No that's not the pic. The pic is more how you will want to kill yourself having to deal with chinamen
Curved. Roads.
Pretty sure the shitty tiny chapel you can build on the new world islands has a cross
Yeah, I know what you're referencing. That dude that learned chinese and their company was like, hey, you know chinese?? Go deal with the bugmen, and ever since that day that dude regrets learning chinese. As I said, I'd learn it secretly.
Shame it's impossible to reliably get the decent items. All the AI ever seems to have regularly is shitty books that give better range to churches and pubs, which is easy to achieve with stone roads anyway.
I'm sure there's more that's being overlooked. Some people just look for anything to offended about.
uplay games are all 40euros on release withthe 100 uplay points wich are easy af to get
do expeditions. Success always brings back something nice and you don't have to spend a single credit for it.
>send my first ship-of-the-line on an expedition
>the first event goes horribly wrong and i lose it
that tfw when
You can bring stuff with you that greatly increases morale and the likelihood of success.
Fish for rations
Wood for repairs
Cannons for firepower
Most special items and special people give multiple bonuses and unique effects
animals also give a bunch of bonuses
Just load up and head out then reap the rewards.
Cuphead
Wii sports
Is there any way to slow down the game????
Jesus fuck is this like SANIC the insane fast city builder.
Those aren't crosses.
No there isn't. Fuck off heathen scum.
>Fish for rations
I take Schnapps because they count as rations and medicine.
Alcohol really does solve everything in this game.
>get in-game cheevos for beating campaign
>don't get ubisoft club cheevos
I saw a video and there were some pre-built NPC islands that looked grand, with massive harbors, palaces and such.
Can you build like that yourself? The player buildings seemed a bit disconnected from each other.
Also, are there many decorations? Can you line up the roads with trees or will that block access to the houses? Can you build decorations in the middle of a housing block in the areas where no road reaches, or does everything need to be connected to roads?
>Greetings, sir. Do come in. Take a seat on the floor in front of my chair, remove my boots, extend your tongue, look me in the eyes and let's get started.
What did she mean by this?
They tried really hard with the future annos; global warming and ethnic classes. This time its just the achievements and the little details that were removed or edited for fear of being misconstrued as nationalistic/religious/misogynistic/racist.
With the exception of the achievement names which are clearly the work of someone who watches john oliver, everything else seems geared to bypass EU censors and defamation lobbies.
Am i blind or can you send more than one ship on a single expedition?
Because you can only pack so many provisions and shit while also having room for loot to take home
It´s too autistic for suits to meddle with. Your average Ubisoft exec probably has no idea what Anno is and why anyone would buy it, but the studio performed succesfully in the past so the probably have a license to do whatever they want.
Everything the npcs can build, you can build with a bit of creativity. The docks auto populate themselves with boxes, crates and whatnot after a while. Gardens don't need to be connected to roads, buildings do. You can make a square inbetween your 3x3 grid and put a little garden in the middle, yes.
Also, note the skulls on the expedition. More skulls requires more equipment or higher tier ships to ensure that the inital morale is high. The morale is your "health bar" for the expedition and the more you have at the start then you can soak up the impact of failed events. as long as morale is not zero, you at least wont lose the ship.
>that retarded as fuck RPS review
This chucklefuck even has the gall to call himself an expert on city-building games while it's completely obvious that he didn't even play an Anno game once.
I have no idea what I'm doing at this point.
I guess I'll start building sails so I can start building ships.
now this is SOUL
I'm more uncomf'd by the excessively long roads leading to the mills
terrible placement
c-c-cute
>professional game journo plays the game at the lowest graphical settings possible
This is fucking pathetic holy shit.
That's great
I might buy it before Orthodox Easter
In the USA you can't redeem the points for pre-orders or recent releases.
6 farms, 3 mills. which is the ratio, but then only 3 bakeries when it should be 6.
>dat goulash
thanks for saving my economy friend
That's horribly inefficent, but I like how it looks.
They did meddle or at least they did try. And it worked out terribly for everyone involved.
This is many problems waiting to happen.
>When in the beta I got an agent that let me replace beef with pig for goulash
Best card ever
I dont get you guys
If they did a 19th century-setting Anno straight, with the imperialism and the nationalist uprisings against emperors and communist uprisings against capitalists and pinkertons and jailings without trial and forcing Princess Qing to smoke opium just so your sister can drink more Chinese tea
If Ubi/Bluebyte did shit 1800 political people would be crying about SJW'ism out the ass because the 19th century was nothing but social upheaval and rank injustices the face of what, back then, was the uncritical assumption of the concept of 'progress'
Maybe there are some malt factories off screen?
Well at least you're uploading images of your island alongside your post, that's better than 99% of posts in this thread.
I want to fuck hannah!
Send bigger ships and only pack the stuff you need.
I like the division of nicer townhouses to farmer's village. I did similar. Not big on the church being so far away from the residents.
For how much sprawl developed for me I worry you're scrunched up, but I still like the potential the town has.
He's overproducing flour, not wheat. Flour doesn't go into anything else but bread. So unless he's shipping the flour off to another island to make bread there, it's a waste.
Depends. There are tiny set-piece islands which cheat the system like pic related. If´s it´s fuckhuge tho it should adhere to the grid system.
>got an agent that lets me make tacos with oil instead of beef
Great fucking item but I fail to see how this works logistically.
>Black women in this game
Gross.
It would suit my autism for historical accuracy or alt-history fantasy much like how sometimes EU3 can.
But no doubt there's some EU bureaucracy which would interfere with sales if they did. This isn't the time where you can make generalized caricatures of whole races and classes and get away with it.
but the bigger ships still have you prioritize either bigger cargo space or better protection
its a balance act for every expedition i guess
>can't reserve goods
>ships on trade routes will always completely empty your stock
fucking based. the trade route interface in general is worse than it was in anno 2070
there's two types of trrade routes, user.
They've said in an interview they don't care about that stuff if it doesn't affect gameplay mechanics. They were even asked about why no child workers, but the gameplay wouldn't benefit from it in any meaningful way.
What the fug. I assume it's not that fish oil but literal oil oil?
>>literally 70% of characters are womyn, black, spic, etc.
There's 1 nigger and he's the ex slave. Two if you count the talking head in the campaign. Everyone else is white, except in the new world, obviously.
>They were even asked about why no child workers, but the gameplay wouldn't benefit from it in any meaningful way.
They do touch on it though. One of the Town Hall items is a compulsory education until 8 law that increased happiness but decreases workforce by 5%.
Well why do you think she had to leave China?
She values honesty, so had to leave sharpish.
2 charcoal huts(or 1 coal mine) and 1 iron mine will supply 2 furnaces
2 furnaces will supply 3 steel mills
there's going to be so many ratios to remember again
Nanosuitninja lets play WHEN? I need to steal his layouts.
...
Your quaint is no match for my grid.
Shut up, LARPing fag.
are you sure you understand the problem? not trying to be snide but neither of the two types of trade routes fix this.
as it stands, if you have an island that produces bricks and want to ship them to an island that doesn't produce them, there's no way to tell a ship on a trade route to leave at least X tons of bricks on the first island. you can "balance" a good but it only applies to merchants visiting your harbor
Yikes. Soulless
Not only is it ugly, it's also very inefficient.
Post the Skyrim video
