The fact is simply this, If it wasn't for The developers absolute devotion to OWL. It likely would have been different than the road its going. The absolute content in this update was honestly pretty shit, of course the "main guys who spend nothing of their waking day playing overwatch" are gonna say its "amazing" when really the event was garbage, re-using enemies from the retribution mode is just down right lazy. I'm glad i stopped playing this game since last year. They really made him appear to have an emphasis on damage but at the end of the day he's a support, and just like many Overwatch healers, he can dish some damage out too. I don't play religiously anymore and stopped playing ranked as a result so my opinions are kind of moot in terms of credibility, but I think his ult is really great but is much better with a premade team than solo, because the wall isn't huge and the use you might get out of it could be heavily hindered by the positioning of the wall or your teammates. The damage boost is crazy good, but there's multiple ways to avoid/block damage already. The invincibility isn't broken because you can destroy the machine that causes it soon as it's put down, so if your team has a brain then they will focus it and push on. Of course if he times it perfectly then you probably won't have a chance to destroy it so that can be annoying, but one could argue that timing the deployment is a skill. His grenade launcher only heals and doesn't do damage.

No, not crazy time jumps. She's jumping between dimensions. This was actually clarified in his intro story when she was first announced. Compared to the other early shit that got retconned because of the rushed release of the game that's stayed consistent. To her it's like staying in place but people can't see her. I've been playing the game since closed beta. The game is still a lot of fun to this day. Medium effort would be a Disney princess skin from wreck it ralph 2. High effort would be an extremely risky Dvadom skin with over the edge Meka and unique voice interactions, including a fitting intro and winning pose.

I'd just like to point out that Blizzard isn't giving out this event for free, as loot crates are a constant source of income for them. On top of that, the event's main focus is on unlocking skins, which in turn encourages whales to buy more loot crates. This isn't a generous act on Blizzard and it most definitely isn't free, because someone paid for it.

They'll kick the can down the road and tell us how many huge plans they have for Summer Games or whatever and just give us Lucio Ball again and a few more skins, I guarantee it.
They've done fucking nothing to fix competitive mode after like a year of widespread malaise - the only thing keeping this game afloat competitively is Overwatch League, which for all its bluster and marketing, has amounted to nothing more than a mid-size esports event, stuffed to the gills with branding opportunities and corporate-friendly content.
once owl succumbs to a tepid, forgettable death and overwatch languishes outside the top 20 on twitch, blizz will pull the plug just like they did with hots and we'll look back on overwatchs first year as one of the biggest missed opportunities in modern gaming

I know a dude that worked at blizzard and he gave me alpha access to overwatch. Right from the start I knew the game would be shit, it did help that my friend told me the game would have spartan content and he was REALLY sad that the real project titan died for this fucking trashcan of a game.
I said this shortly after the game released in a few threads but just got joke replies for obvious reasons I guess, yet here we are with fucking trash can level of content, and few game modes. The entire game was designed to try and steal the league of legends crowd with its focus on low content but heroes and attractively designed characters and skins. This is pretty much proven in the fact that many league players tried to play it after its release despite not being anything like league.
You can believe me or not I don't give a shit, just saying that everything my friend told me came to be true.

Overwatch has been a constant disappointment for me when they started to hype it up like it was the "new TF2" I was hoping for big 18v18 servers and the ability to pick a fun character and just fuck around with friends for a good laugh instead we got an FPS: MOBA edition and all the cancer kids from League switched over. forced 6v6 matchmaking was a mistake.
the investors and advertisers really need to hire a better auditor for it, they are throwing money into a sinkhole advertising to people afking for tokens
