It took like 4 months to even get Joker so who knows.

Given release schedule, probably E3 with a "available now" release similar to how they did for Ryu in Sm4sh.

They have 9 months to reveal and release 4 more characters.

Its 4 characters over 10 months, you do the math.

Expect the apology video on december from Sakurai when he talks about how they will not meet the expected february 2020 date.

Apparently they didn’t even start working on joker when he was announced so Idk

The biggest thing is that there has never been a non Japanese created third party character in Smash. Hell until Diddy Kong there wasn't one period and he remains one of the only ones. I think the only other one is Dark Samus and both were created by second party studios under Nintendo.

Back in Brawl, Snake wasn't allowed to use guns. It's clear now from Joker that the "no guns" rule is no more. They don't even address that he's canonically using an airsoft gun that only works in the Metaverse.

I don't recall that being a thing. I think the whole idea is that they're all replicas. You could stretch it with strongest weapons being made from Personas.

E3 will have two characters, erdrick and doomguy

I'm not saying it's impossible it just that there are obvious trends. On top of that suits at Nintendo Japan made the selections this time and you really think old Japanese guys are in tune with what westerners want? I'd love Doomguy I'm just keeping my expectations tempered because I have a feeling the characters will be characters popular in Japan because they think that's what will sell.
