That's not full back compat is it then. And don't assume people actually care to take their games with them into a new gen. The ps3 had actual full back compat with ps1 and ps2 yet the console bombed and most people went to Wii or xbox 360 for most of the gen till Sony had a last minute revival at the end to claw back some sales vs the 360. That back compat with ps2 didn't make people buy ps3s.

Well in the year and a bit I've had the console I've played 11 games. So money wise i likely am. However it is true im not the most avid gamer, making it even more damning for them that I've been turned off by their censoring.

Sony's Main HQ is now in California and they have a degree of control over the type of content that's put in games for ALL REGIONS. Sony's new policies regarding sexual content requires all games released for their systems to be submitted for review (and last I checked, non-English speaking countries are require to submit them English for review) and if any game has to have sexual content toned down, it will effect all regions the game is released in. And in regards to a recent information reveal for Destiny 2, decisions made by Sony "may" effect the game released on other platforms as well depending on how desperate a developer is to release their game on a Playstation platform.
