I think we're actually going to get a sequel this time. Nomura said that the game's new content would be 7 new days but then it was changed to just a single day in the advertisements.
What if they changed it to just a single day because the sequel is already locked in? They purposely ended the game on a cliffhanger and set up a ton of stuff for a sequel that they could've cleared up in the planned extra week.

I really wished that Sora and co ended up in Shinjuku versus a possibly different shibuya. KH is literal fanfiction tier with it's inclusion of sora so it would have been cool to see possible new characters early and be a little a part of Shinjuku's erasure. Barely getting away because Sora failed or something. Would give KHfags who aren't Twewyfags some exposure to Twewy before the sequel comes out. They might pick it up. Either original, phone or switch version. Learn about the story and be hyped for the new one with some knowledge of the characters we may be introduced to in the new game as well as possible other chars from the original if they survived the erasure outside the loli . Just seemed like a cool logical tie-in. I'm still okay with shibuya though.

Comparing it to a game like mystery dungeon, I always felt like I was fighting with the game and like you had to slam your stylus super hard just so the attacks would hit and keep in mind I was using a close combat set. That's just my opinion though and I liked a lot of the game despite that.
I don't want to even imagine how awful the controls would be on a non handheld though. Apparently playing the game on a ROM is a nightmare.

Sure it’s not just your DS? I actually had next to no trouble getting the inputs to work on my DSlite and I feel that setting up the sub pins really help out a lot in that aspect.

its not just that the single screen ruins the narrative (it does).
the switch version's rebalancing of the game to make it work on one screen dumbs down the game, a LOT. much of the complexity is stripped out of both the combat and the gear/metaprogression in the game with the removal of the second screen, and that's in addition to the difficulty being lowered across the board anyway. add on the fact that "solo co-op" mode is literally just an easier version of the "solo solo" game, and you have something that's just really uncompelling to play.
i really dont understand why there are people asking this question still. there are switchdrones who'll defend final remix to the bitter end, and twewy fans who think it's a downgrade from the original in a lot of ways. it's hard to really get across how much worse it is if you haven't extensively played both games.
